â⦠You should have taught your daughter to close her legs and notâ¦âChase was saying when Jace slammed his fist on the desk.
âEnough Chase Hudson!â Jace thundered.
Jace was so furious as he stared at his brother. What kind of a man says that to a woman heâs had sex with? Doesnât Chase have a sense of piety?
And to know that this woman sitting next to him is the grandmother of his unborn child. How can he talk so arrogantly to a woman who he would forever share a relationship with, because of his baby?
âWhat brother! Why are you telling me itâs enough? Her daughter trapped me with the pregnancy. She deliberately wanted to be my woman, forcing herself on me.
I donât love her. I only slept with her or better still, she slept with me. If her momma had taught her not to be pregnant for a man who doesnât love her, she probably would bear that in mind.
I paid her for her services. I donât owe her anything. She is my bedmate and sex partner and it ends after each session. Why try to impose her daughter and the unplanned baby in her belly on me?â Chase stuttered.
Pricillia was dazed. She glared at Chase and said âyou called my daughter your sex partner and bedmate?â she felt her knees wobble at the adjective Chase used for her daughter.
âThatâs exactly what she is. A whore with a stinking drippingâ¦âChase was saying when Jace threw his bunch of keys on his face and he paused.
âItâs alright then. Rosalinda said you denied being the childâs father and I couldnât believe that a man would disown his own flesh and blood. But now, I believe much more than she had said.
Stay away from my daughter and her child. You donât deserve her and the child in her belly. Karma will catch up with you and you will one day cry regretting every single word you said against my daughter â Pricillia declared and her eyes welled up in tears.
âIâm sorry about Chaseâs rudeness and utterances, Mrs Black. I will see to itâ Jace apologised.
âThank you for your time CEO Jace. You are a good man. And I pray that you will remain happy forever. Excuse meâPricillia declared and took her bag, walked out of Jaceâs office.
âJust leave. I donât want to see your face around meâ Jace ordered and Chase Hudson walked out.
Tessa was waiting in the Delmarkâs Mansion. She was told Richard and his Mom had gone to the hospital.
It wasnât long, they arrived. When Jane Delmark walked in, she saw Tessa seated, drinking from a glass of orange juice. She stood up and went to hug Jane.
âHow have you been Mom?â Tessa greeted, taking Janeâs bag from the servant and helping her to sit down.
âIâm fine dear. How have you been?â Jane asked. Itâs been a while since she last saw Tessa. She knew Richard and Tessa are no longer together.
None of them had told her what the reason was that they parted ways and sheâs not going to be too inquisitive about it. She held Tessaâs hand and smiled.
âIâve been alright Mom. I just missed you and Uncleâ Tessa declared, raising her head and glancing at Richard. The latter saw her and looked away.
âIâm off to Genesisâ place. See you laterâRichard said. Tessa quickly thought of an idea âI was wondering if we can devise some strategies for uncleâs campaign?
I had put down some ideas and wanted us to talk about it briefly. What do you think, Richard?â Tessa sounded genuine.
âWhen Iâm back, weâll talk about it,â Richard declared. He had promised to come over to pick Genesis up and canât afford to spend a few more minutes, keeping her waiting.
âI might be gone before you come back. Besides, itâs just going to be a few minutes and that would be all. What do you think Mom?â Tessa said.
Richard wondered when his mother became Tessaâs Mom. He just doesnât know why sheâs trying to create a family bond and relationship with his parents.
âIf itâs just a few minutes, Richard. I believe Genesis would understandâ Jane supported Tessa. Itâs about her husbandâs political success.
Richard shrugged. He will need to talk to Tessa to stop coming to his parents Mansion. She doesnât have a business with them anymore.
Genesis waited the entire evening, and didnât see Richard. The meals she prepared to take along with her to the picnic were placed aside.
She tried calling Richard several times and he wasnât answering his phone. Disappointed and unhappy, Genesis sank into the sofa. It was getting dark, several hours had passed when her phone chirped.
It was Richard. She answered the phone and his apologetic voice came through âIâm sorry I kept you waitingâ he said, feeling sorry about it.
âWhat happened, Richard? You werenât answering your phone and kept me waiting for hours until it got darkâGenesis replied, feeling really sad.
âI was with Tessa. I forgot to take my phone along until I suddenly remembered I was going to meet you but then, it was already darkâ Richard explained.
âYou were with Tessa? Where?â Genesis asked. Itâs Tessa again. This woman is trying to sneak back into Richardâs heart. Will she be losing her man again?
âTessa. She was home when Mom and I returned from the hospital. She suggested helping out with dadâs campaign and we hung out together in the gardenâ Richard explained .
âWhy would Tessa be in your parents house? Do you still have a connection with her?â Genesis asked as her eyes went teary.
She didnât wait for Richard to answer her question when she hung up. Oh no. Tessa in the Delmarkâs family Mansion, what does she want there?
Jace called his Mom and said that he has a lot to discuss with her and his dad. As a result, he would appreciate it if they had a family dinner.
He would be coming with his partner and Eli. Amelia Hudson said okay. They would be eager to see Eli and his Mom again.
Jace called Chase and told him they were having a family dinner in the Hudsonâs family house.
Pricillia eventually returned to the hospital that evening to see Rosalinda. Her eyes were red and puffy as she stepped into the ward and glared at her daughter.
