Chapter 30

Mafia's Princess

The ride was silent. The four brothers were either scrolling through their phones or just looking through the windows, not really speaking. Victoria, on the other hand, was both excited and nervous about the situation. The idea of going to such luxurious place with them made her feel anxious, and was happy Ross was with her. She even thanked Jake for the dress about five times alredy.

Anyway, as soon as the car parked, she could see a big building with lots of lights around. It looked like a castle, and the girl unconsciously gasped. She felt like the first time she saw the brother's mansion, completely mesmerized.

Jeff was the first to get out of the car, fixing his suit and tie. Then Jake and Marcus, copying his actions. When Ross got out, he handed Vicky his hand, which she gladly accepted, and they all entered the club.

Victoria wasn't expecting a friendly environment, but even though, she felt like she wasn't mean to be there. She could see many men drinking alcohol and loudly laughing, and, as Ross had said, many (almost) naked women. Plus, the music was too loud.

"It's alright" Ross yelled, "we'll discuss some business stuff and then we'll leave. Stay close to me"

She nodded and shyly followed him and the rest to some room. The smell of smoke disgusted her, also, she felt many eyes on her as she kept walking, but tried to ignore it. After all, it was going to be a few hours or so, and then Ross had promised to cuddle with her.

Marcus was right next to Victoria, glaring at every men that dared to look at her that way, or even try to get her attention. She still thought it was too much, but Marcus knew how things worked in those places.

Not long after, a man greeted them all, surprising her.

"Caruso! Nice to see you again" he said, shaking hands with Ross, Marcus, Jeff and Jake. They all looked so stern and seemed too used to these kind of things.

"Nice to see you too, Morello. Shall we go to a quieter place?"

The man nodded and guided them all to a private room near them. It was incredibly more silent than before, and Victoria was thankful for that.

Ross made her sit in the middle of him and Marcus, to which she felt better because they made her feel more secure. Jake and Jeff were also sitting next to them, waiting for the man to speak.

"Let's go straight to the point. You too want the wineyard territory, right, guys?"

"Yes, and we are willing to share it with your mafia" Ross answered, "what do you think?"

The man smirked and took a sip of his drink.

"But what do I win? I mean, why should I accept this?"

"Because, Morello," Jeff intervened "let's say we own a big part of the police in that territory"

"So?"

"And," Jake continued, his stern expression still on his face "we have some evidence about you and your men doing some illegal stuff. I think... drug dealing?"

Victoria widened her eyes at that, not really knowing what to do. She unconsciously squirmed a little on her spot as she felt Ross' hand squeeze hers in a reassuring way. Just where had she got into?

Also, she was surprised to hear them threaten a man like that. She thought they were going to simply arrange some business, but it seemed it wasn't that easy. Morello clenched his jaw and, some seconds later, he softened his expression and let out a laugh.

"Alright, you got me. I see you're the same as ever, Caruso"

"Same to you"

"It's good to make new alliances, isn't it? I'll send one of my men to finish this discussion in two days if that's okay with you"

"Sure, it was good to see you"

"Likewise, Ross"

They all stood up, followed by a startled Vicky. Mafias were weird. The man didn't even ask about her, maybe he had thought she wasn't relevant.

Each one of the brothers shook hands with him, exchanged a few words and finally left, with the girl next to them.

"Well, that was fast, thankfully" she heard Jeff say.

"Morello knows what's best for him. Of course he would accept this, after all, we're not even asking for too much"

The brothers kept talking about the matter and Victoria felt bored. She didn't even mind her surroundings too much now, all she wanted to do was to go home already. It was a shame since she loved her outfit, but she would find a time to wear it again.

The girl was so into her own thinking, that she didn't realize she wasn't next to Ross or anyone now, and she started panicking. How could she be so dumb? Victoria started looking around but there was no point. She was lost.

She groaned and started walking, already tired and feeling his feet killing her, as she wasn't too used to high heels. She thought of how upset would Ross and his brothers be when they found out she wasn't there anymore, and immediately fastened her pace. It's not that she was the one at fault exactly, but still felt anxious.

And, yes, that made her feel littler than usual.

"Look who we got here!" A man yelled, making Victoria turn to them. She heard another guy whistle and she rolled her eyes at him, turning back to keep walking.

At least, that's what she tried to do.

The man grabbed her hand so that she couldn't escape, and the girl unconsciously slapped him across the face. Unfortunately, that didn't stop him from forcefully taking her with them, a smirk on his face.

"Come on, sweetie. Don't you wanna have fun with us?" One of his friends said, the smell of alcohol getting obvious at this point.

She desperately tried to go, but the man grabbing her hand wouldn't let her. The situation itself made her definitely feel little, just wanting any of the Caruso to help her right then, but she still couldn't see them anywhere.

"Let go!" She whimpered.

"Stop fucking whining"

At the same time, he was trying to make her sit with them, but she was struggling so it wasn't easy.

"You bit-"

Right when he seemed about to hit her, a tall man came from behind and roughly pushed him, letting go of Vicky's hand and immediately punching the guy in the face.

He let out a gasp at the sudden move, and was about to protest until he saw who it was.

"She said fucking let go, Brown"

"W-williams? Shit, if she was your whore, I wouldn't have-"

But Alistair punched him a few more times, and his friends were smart enough not to intervene with him. Victoria stepped back at it, she had never seen a fight before, specially not one involing mafias, but she was also too shocked to leave.

"Just wait, Brown. I'm sure the Caruso had alredy warned you by getting rid of those pigs of yours, didn't they?"

"Wait, I'm sorry! It was all a mistake!"

"You're so damn lucky I don't kill you right now. But that doesn't mean they won't"

Williams roughly threw the guy on the couch again, shaking the blood out of his hands, before turning to the girl. Shit, he thought. He didn't mean her to watch that.

"Vicky? It's alright, yeah? Let me take you to Ross, no one will bother you if you're with me"

She sniffled and wiped away some tears before nodding. The girl hesitantly grabbed Alistair's hand and they started walking, ignoring the eyes on them at the scene. Surprisingly though, no one really cared as these fights were usual.

"Vicky!" She heard Ross yell.

Right then, the girl felt too relieved. She wanted him to pick her up and take her home so bad, so she just hugged him as soon as she saw him.

"Daddy, I wanna go home" she whispered to him.

He hugged her back, and immediately spotted Williams next to her.

"What happened?"
