Initially, Xinwen didnât want to inform Lin Yi about Tangyinâs face but now that Tangyin had requested- she was forced to inform to Lin Yi.
In fact, Xinwen actually understood Tangyinâs feeling- she just wanted to test Lin Yiâs sincerity and loyalty. It was totally understandable for a young girl.
If Lin Yi really loved Tangyin, he would still visit and wouldnât mind her ruined face. In other words, if Lin Yi only loved Tangyin for her face, he wouldnât give two sh*ts about visiting her at all.
Mrs. Tang got her daughterâs intention as well, she couldnât help but sigh. Only God could decide her daughterâs fate now.....
Xinwen looked into Tangyinâs eyes- it was full of determination. She still wanted to convince her but just fulfilled her request anyway and started the call to Lin Yiâs number....
In the last period of the self-study class, Mengyao was paying full attention to her notes, and while Yushu was whispering beside her: "Yaoyao sis, Iâve got a good and a bad news, which one do you want to hear first?"
"Anything...." Mengyao said lightly.
"Yaoyao sis, why are you being so down-spirited..." Mengyaoâs disinterest in gossip dissapointed Yushu a little.
"Your good news and bad news are basically the same, just tell me one." Mengyao knew Yushu well. All the time, her good news and bad news were all just normal news, just that the news shared by Yushu were all hyperboles. Mengyao was tricked by her a few times already so she had learnt her lesson- she had mastered the art of apathy!
"Itâs different this time- itâs about Shield Bro!" Yushu lowered her voice and said playfully.
"Owh?" Mengyaoâs eyebrows were lifted unconsciously and asked faintly, "Lin Yi? Whatâs the good news about him?"
"Hehe." Yushu smiled like a cheshire cat when Mengyaoâs interest was piqued, "The good news is, I heard that Lin Yi and TangYin have just broken up. Your chance has finally arrived Yaoyao sis!!"
"...." Mengyao was speechless on the surface but she was rather happy inside. Was that happiness? Mengyao herself, wasnât sure of it, "Is this considered as a good news? You are the one that has the chance Shu, you guys have kissed before and he has seen you naked too!"
"Only if the chance was mine. The main wife isnât moving yet, there is no way the second wife could get this chance, is it?! YuShu said nonchalantly, "Both of you have kissed before as well, though it was an indirect kiss!"
".... letâs not talk about this," Mengyao didnât want to continue this flow of conversation anymore because the disgusting feelings she had before had completely vanished. She didnât know when or how the feeling disappeared but now, it was replaced with another type of feeling, sweetness. "Are you going to tell me the bad news already?"
"That Feng Xiaoxiao, she seems to be Lin Yiâs new girlfriend!" Yushu said.
"How do you know? Where did you get the news form? Why am I not notified?" Mengyao asked weirdly.
"Please do not forget, Iâm Shu, the Spy 007!" Yushu said cockily, "It was an easy job for me."
Mengyao burst into laughter, "Shu the Spy? The wicked Shu maybe! Your face is as red as an apple when talking about Lin Yi, are you perhaps in love of him?!"
"Huh? Itâs impossible. Evidently, itâs Yaoyao sis who loves Shield bro, Iâm just a second wife- I would have to train myself to fall for him." Yushu said.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
".... letâs get back to studying." Mengyao was impressed when she saw Yushuâs notes- it was still on the same page as when they started the self study...
On the other hand, Yushu started flipping through her exercise book with haste, jotting down some notes and drawing at the same time....
Mengyao frowned- she couldnât understand her soulmate at all, her weirdness was one of a kind.
At that time, Lin Yi felt like skipping class and heading to Tangyinâs house just to check on her, when his phone vibrated, signalling an incoming call. He took his phone out to see it was Liu Xinwen.
"Hello?" Lin Yi answered.
"Lin Yi, Iâm Liu Xinwen," Xinwen took a deep breath, her attitude towards Lin Yi wasnât friendly- although Tangyin was watching her, she couldnât control her emotions, she wanted to speak up for Tangyin because she was her best friend after all.
Xinwen would have slaughtered Master Bing and gang if they were one step slower because she was a person with honour. Her pride was that she would do anything for her best friends.
"Liu Xinwen? Whatâs up?" Lin Yi was startled- he did not know what Liu Xinwen would want from him at this moment.
"Tangyin is injured, we are in the SongShanâs first hospital. Her forehead was closed with eight stitches, most probably, a scar will remain and sheâll be disfigured...." Liu Xinwen was about to ask Lin Yi about his opinions but she was stopped.
"WHAT? Tangyin is injured? Iâm coming over right now, wait for me!" Lin Yi didnât wait for Liu Xinwen to finish her line and ran out of the classroom.
Tangyin was Lin Yiâs first official girlfriend- he might not have been good with his words but he had at least recognised Tangyin as his woman. His head was aching, "Is there anything else other than the forehead? Howâs the injury? Which room are you guys in?"
Lin Yi threw question after question to Liu Xinwen- she was stunned, she didnât expect this from Lin Yi. She had prepared for the worst outcome and readied herself to receive the cold-shoulder but instead, Lin Yi was worried sick about Tangyinâs condition. Lin Yi was rushing over without even knowing the details!
Lin Yiâs action relaxed Liu Xinwen, Lin Yi wasnât that bad after all! He wasnât like Kang Zhaoming had been towards Fen, treating Fen as his toy and fooling around with her feelings. At least, Lin Yiâs concern was from his heart, it was sincere and pure.
Because of this, Xinwen was able to forgive Lin Yi for what he had done to Tangyin. After all, many young mastersâ marriages were decided by their house, their freedom of choosing their own wife was taken away by their parents. Although, they might have found their true loved ones, some were forced to give up under the pressure from the family.
From Liu Xinwenâs perspective, she thought that Xiaoxiaoâs house wasnât common at all, she was at least somewhat helpful to Lin Yi. Thatâs why Lin Yi was forced to be with her and under the pressure from Xiaoxiao, he was forced to give up on Tangyin.
"We are at the second section of the hospital, room 512," Liu Xinwen continued, "No, no other injuries, just disfigured...."
"Okay, I got it," Lin Yi let out a sigh of relief but he was still feeling tensed, how exactly could this have happened?
After ending the phone call, Liu Xinwen saw Tangyinâs unblinking eyes staring at hers. From that stare, Xinwen knew that Tangyin was still very much in love with Lin Yi- she was eager to know Lin Yiâs reaction.
