Chapter 75
Married To My Ex-Husband’s Rival by Jobet GraySon
Chapter Seventy Five
Third Person POV.
Amberâs excitement bubbled forth as she and Richard waited in the bustling airport, perched on the edge of a bench. She gazed out at the gates, her eyes gleaming with anticipation as she spoke animatedly to Richard.
âI canât believe weâre finally in Milan! Iâve always dreamed of exploring Italy, but I never had a chance to travel as much as I wanted you,â Amber beamed, her voice brimming with enthusiasm. She turned her gaze towards Richard. âYou have no idea how relieved I am to be out of the States, even if
itâs only for a few days.â
Richard, though slightly amused, shook his head in response. âOut of all the places you could have chosen for our honeymoon, I still canât fathom why you picked Italy,â he replied. âJust so you know,
Iâm not as excited about this as you are.â
Amber rolled her eyes playfully, an unimpressed look dancing in her expression. âOh, come on, Richard. Whatâs not to love about Italy? The art, the history, the foodâitâs all so magical,â she countered. âI already made a list of the places I want to visit after spending all night doing my research, and whether you like it or not, Iâll be visiting each and every one of them. Also, this is the perfect opportunity for me to meet your family.â
Richard chuckled, the comers of his l*ps curling into a small smile. âIâm not saying Iâm not excited at all,â he clarified, his voice warm. âBut just be prepared, Amber. I have a large family, and my grandmother in particular wonât let you leave until youâve met every single one of my relatives.â
Amberâs smile never wavered, only growing wider with each passing moment. âThat sounds amazing.â she replied with genuine enthusiasm. âIâve never had a big family, so Iâm excited to experience what it feels like. I already know not to expect gentle people, seeing how extroverted and enthusiastic
Bianca is.â
As they continued their playful banter, Richardâs attention was suddenly drawn to a familiar voice calling his name. His brows furrowed, a flicker of unease crossing his features. He glanced in the direction of the voice and spotted his twin sister, Bianca, running towards them.
Bianca approached them with a radiant smile, her arms outstretched for a hug. âRichard! Amber!â she
exclaimed, pulling Amber into an embrace. Amber reciprocated the hug warmly.

After the initial greetings, Bianca couldnât help but express her disbelief. âI canât believe you two chose Italy for your honeymoon,â Bianca chuckled. âAnd I can swear on everything I hold dear that it
I
wasnât Richardâs idea. He wouldnât willingly visit Italy unless someone died, and he was obligated to
attend a funeral. He hates it here.â
Richardâs face contorted in a frown, a glimmer of annoyance shining through. âShut up, Bianca,â he
muttered through gritted teeth.
Bianca couldnât resist a mischievous chuckle as she turned her attention towards Amber, her
expression playful. âAlright, Amber, hand me your bags,â she said, her voice lightâhearted.
Amber pointed towards a small bag resting on the bench beside her, her eyes glinting with amusement.
âThatâs all I brought,â she replied.
Bianca furrowed her brows in confusion, her eyes darting between the bag and Amber. âThatâs your
suitcase?â she asked incredulously.
Amber chuckled, enjoying the mix of confusion and amusement on Biancaâs face. âYep, thatâs it. I like to pack light,â she replied, her voice light and carefree.
Bianca shook her head in disbelief. âWhy are your bags so small? Are you not here for your honeymoon?
You must have brought more!â
Richard rolled his eyes, his tone laced with dry sarcasm, as he interjected. âI asked her to pack light, silly,â he said, his voice dripping with exasperation. âWhy pack everything from over there when she could always shop for new clothes and accessories while weâre here?â
Bianca shook her head, her confusion giving way to amusement. âSeriously, Richard? Are you just showing off that youâre rich or something?â she asked, her voice teasing.
Richard scoffed, âPlease, Bianca. Donât even try to play that card like youâre any different.â
Bianca raised an eyebrow. âPoint of correction, dear brother,â she countered. âIâm a cop, and cops donât get paid enough to be considered rich.â
Richard was about to respond, a retort at the tip of his tongue, but Amber, who had been observing their banter with an amused expression, couldnât help but interrupt. âWait, wait,â she interjected. âBianca, are you being serious? Youâre a cop?â

Bianca frowned slightly, a twinge of disappointment etching itself into her features. âYou didnât know? *she asked. When Amber shook her head, Bianca shot a glare at Richard. âLearn to talk more about your sister to your wife, Richard. It wouldnât kill you,â she scolded, her voice stern.
Turning her attention back to Amber, Bianca confirmed, âWell, yes, sisterâinâlaw, I am a cop. Thatâs why Richard and I donât get along. Iâm on the good side of the spectrum, trying to catch idiots like my twin brother here.â
Amberâs confusion deepened, a myriad of questions bubbling in her. But before she could voice them, Richard swiftly smacked Bianca on the head, frustration evident in his eyes. âJust please shut up
already, Bianca. Youâre so annoying,â he muttered.
Bianca would scoff at him before picking up Amberâs bag and urging Amber to follow her.
âLet me guess, you didnât pack any bags at all, right, Richard?â she asked as they walked out.
âWhy should I? I own an apartment here, remember?â
âOh, my bad. I completely forgot since you never actually use it,â Bianca retorted, and Richard simply shrugged innocently.
âBibi, you did drive an actual car here, right? I mean a real car, and not one of those police vans. of yours, right?â Richard asked, hoping he wouldnât have to deal with another one of her d*rty and
uncomfortable work cars that she never cleaned.
â
With a wicked chuckle, Bianca responded, âDonât worry, brother. I care about my sisterâinâlaw, so thanks to her, youâll have the privilege of sitting in a really nice car that suits your taste.â
âIdiot,â he muttered under his breath as they exited the airport and ended towards Biancaâs car.
