Chapter 90
Married To My Ex-Husband’s Rival by Jobet GraySon
Chapter Ninety
Third Person POV.
Bianca stood amid the aftermath, her gaze sweeping over the scattered mess in the dining area. She eyed the untouched food on the table, the remnants of a family dinner that had spiraled into chaos. Turning to face Elena, her expression a mix of disappointment and frustration, Bianca couldnât hold back her words any longer.
âYou really messed up this time, Elena, You went too far.â Her voice was tinged with a hint of exasperation, her eyes locking on Elenaâs in a silent challenge. Elena simply shrugged, a nonchalant. expression gracing her features as she feigned ignorance.
âWhat did I do wrong?â Elenaâs question cut through the tension, a hint of defiance in her tone as she met Biancaâs accusing gaze headâon.
Bianca gestured toward the chaos around them. âIn case you didnât realize, you went off like a mad woman back there, and you gave Richard even more reason to run from you for the rest of his life.â
Elenaâs response was a dismissive scoff, her confidence unwavering as she brushed off Biancaâs concerns. âMy relationship with Richard will be fine. And if he does decide to run, well, I wonât
exactly be losing any sleep over it.â
Bianca shook her head in disbelief. âNo offense, Elena, but you are not a sane person at all, and I donât understand how someone who isnât sane helps other mentally imbalanced people. It makes no
sense.â
Elenaâs laughter cut through the tension. âDonât be so silly, Bibi. Youâre the one who invited me for this family dinner, and you knew exactly what you were getting into.â Her tone held a challengeâa subtle accusation hidden beneath her words.
âDonât you dare put the blame on me.â Bianca shot back. âI invited you because I thought maybe, just maybe, you would finally try to fix things with Richard and help him see reasons to get help. That was what I asked of you.â
Elena rolled her eyes at Biancaâs words. âYouâre a coward, Blanca. Deep down, you know that a lot of
the things I said to Richard earlier were true. But because youâre too scared to say it to his face,
youâd rather have me do it for

Biancaâs patience wore thin as she listened to Elenaâs words. âStop saying nonsense, and tell me what
you intend to do now.â

Elena simply shrugged, a nonchalant expression masking the complex thoughts swirling in her mind. âWhat do you think of Amber?â Elenaâs question caught Bianca off guard, causing a flicker of surprise
in her eyes before she composed herself to respond.
âI donât really have any strong opinions about Amber. Biancaâs voice was measured, and her words were carefully chosen. âShe seems like a good person, and it looks like she can handle Richard quite well. But, like you said, itâs hard to say if their relationship is a good one or if itâs destined
for trouble. Whichever way, I think she does bring a smile to Richardâs face and makes him a lot less
robotic, and thatâs enough for me.â
Elena let out a sigh. âWell, after meeting her today for the first time, I donât think sheâs that bad, and seeing how she had my little brother in a pink sweater, she has him on a lock to an extent. But Iâm a little concerned because I have a feeling she doesnât know Richard as well as he knows her.
I wouldnât want Richard to become dependent on her without her knowing him well enough.â
Bianca chuckled lightly. âBut are you really surprised she doesnât? I mean, itâs Richard weâre talking about, and if we didnât have our ways, weâd know nothing about him.â
Elenaâs laughter rang out suddenly, a hint of mischief dancing in her eyes as she shared a thought
with Bianca. âYou know, when I was going off at Richard earlier, it took everything in me earlier not
to mention to him that mom has a heart problem. I had to bite my tongue to shut myself up.â
In an instant, Biancaâs expression turned serious, with a note of urgency in her voice as she wamed
Elena. âNever, ever make the mistake of saying anything about that to Richard. Mom would kill you if
he ever found out,â she warned.
Elena nodded solemnly. âI wonât say anything: donât worry. I know how serious the situation is, and the last thing I want is for Richard to find a way to blame himself again. If he ever finds out, Mom
would literally beg to see his face again,â she responded.
As the weight of their conversation lingered, Elena let out a sigh before reaching for her bag
resting on the table. Quickly, she retrieved an envelope from its depths and handed it to Bianca.

Biancaâs curiosity was piqued. âWhat is this, Elena?â
Elenaâs gaze held a hint of seriousness as she answered, âItâs not for you to open, Bianca. Itâs
meant for Richard.â Leaning in slightly, she continued, âIf, by chance, while Richard is still in Italy, he receives a distressing call from home and itâs bad news, then you must give him this
envelope. But if that news doesnât reach him before they leave, then you must find a way to
Italy, he receives a distressing call from home and itâs bad news, then you must give him this envelope. But if that news doesnât reach him before they leave, then you must find a way to discreetly pass it on to Amber. Tell her to keep it hidden until there truly is bad news. Something unimaginable.â
Bianca furrowed her brows in confusion as she studied the envelope in her hands.
With a stern look in her eyes, Elena reiterated her instructions: âDo not open it, Bianca. Itâs for Richard or, if necessary, for Amber.â
In a swift motion, Elena stood up from her seat, preparing to leave. âAre you leaving already, Elena? You wonât at least eat something?â
Elena offered a small smile as she replied, âI have to go, Bibi. My wifeâs probably already waiting for meâ before walking out.
