"So. How's it been living with her?" Jake asked me as Carter and I sat down across from him and Blossom.

It had been a week and 2 days since that night.

I decided it was best for Taylor to stay with me until she found a place... I'll admit. It's been hard, seeing her walk around in tight pajama shorts and tank tops, it took all my self control not to jump her.

But she was grateful to me for letting her stay and I was glad to have her.

Lance filed for divorce last week and she cried a bit, but she said she was relieved.

"It's been a little weird but I'm not gonna let her stay in a motel when I have the space" I responded.

He nodded.

"What about your mom? What's gonna happen when she comes home to find your English teacher staying there?" Carter asked.

"Look, that's not going to happen. She's looking for a place" I responded.

We all groaned as we heard the bell.

They said they loved me back and I headed to Algebra.

I ended up talking to Lucy the Monday we came back to school. I told her I'm sorry for leaving her Friday night and said she understood. We then had a long talk and I told her I wasn't in a place to date anyone and for some reason she was the most understanding person in the world and told me it was okay and that she understood.

I groaned dramatically and sat down at one of those pieces of metal they call a classroom chair.

About 20 minutes later she spoke.

"Hey, I forgot to tell you, I think I found an apartment"

"Oh yeah?" I looked up from my homework.

"Yeah. It's actually not to far from your place. It's on Murkwood"

"You're moving here?" I asked, surprised.

"Yeah?..." she said, slightly offended.

"No. I mean, that's great. I just sort of assumed you would still want to live in Columbus"

"I need a fresh start" she responded.

"Well that's great. Congrats" I said.

"Thank you" she smiled at me.

"Your welcome" I smiled back.

"Oh wow" she exclaimed a few minutes later.

"What?" I asked her.

"I just emailed the landlord and he responded back within minutes. He wants to meet at 4"

I looked the time on my phone

"Oh shit that's soon" I said.

"Yeah I have to pack up.. hey, could you come with me? I'm gonna want your opinion" she asked me.

"Yeah, that's fine. I'll meet you down at the park" I responded.

"Okay, thank you"

"No problem"

"Hello. I'm here to see apartment 5" Taylor asked what I assumed to be the Landlord.

It looked nice from the outside, I was eager to see the inside, hoping for the best, she deserved it.

"Oh, hello, Ms. Roper. Yes, this way" he replied.

Well he seemed nice.

As we were walking to the apartment I admired the neatly trimmed green grass, it was obvious they took care of their units.

I could see the anticipation in Taylor's eyes as he was unlocking the door.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the inside.

The walls were a nice smooth white and the carpet looked comfortable enough to sleep on. It came with an island which was a nice smooth marble surface. The bathroom was big, as was the shower.

Suddenly an image popped in my mind as I looked at the huge shower.

"Are you gonna come see the bedroom?" She asked.

Like everything else in the apartment, the bedroom looked amazing.

Very roomy and came with a walk in closet.

"So, I know it's $740 a month but how much are utilities?"

I saw Taylors face light up and I knew this place was the one.

It was around 10:15 when the pizza finally arrived.

Taylor got the beer out of the fridge and we both sat down on the couch, diving in.

"I can't believe I have my own place now" Taylor gushed.

I grinned at how happy she was.

"I know. It's amazing... kinda sad this is your last night." I replied

She looked at me. "You know, we'll still see each other right?" She smiled.

"I know, I know... so you already have the furniture figured out?" I asked.

"Yeah, their delivering it tomorrow around noon. I had to pay extra for them to deliver it tomorrow, but it wasn't too expensive" she said excitedly.

"That's good. I'm so glad you're happy" I told her.

She grabbed my hand in hers. "Thank you so much, for giving me a place to stay in the meantime. I will always be grateful" she said as she gently squeezed my hand.

"Always" I replied.

I expected her to remove her hand but she let it limpy rest in mine, tracing my palm.

We were staring at each other as she did this and I felt butterflies start to roam.

Oh no...

I better stop this before I do something I'll regret...

I gently removed my hand and grabbed my beer bottle, chugging down my first.

I got up and walked to the fridge, grabbing another one.

"Lily?" She asked getting another one as well.

"Hmm?" I asked nonchalantly.

"I'm gonna take a shower and then head to bed, 'kay?"

"Okay" I responded.

As she was showering all I could think of was how sad I felt that she wouldn't be living under the same roof as me.

I mean, I know she had to live her life but seeing her everyday is something that I'm getting used to and it was gonna be hard not to miss her.

God.. why do I have to love her?...

"Lily!" She yelled from my bedroom.

I rushed to the room, thinking she hurt herself, instead her bare back was facing me and she wasn't wearing anything but pink pj shorts.
