Heat Faze

A Reject She-Wolf

Addy

I attempt to move up the bed, but his hands secure me in place. Tears stream down my face as the pain intensifies with each slow, deliberate push.

“Relax, think of the waterfall. I’ll bring you back when it’s time. You need to be completely relaxed for him, or he’ll hurt you.” Her tail twirls in a circle.

The image floods my mind, and my body surrenders to the calm. The pain subsides, replaced by a building pressure as he continues to enter me. We’re playing in the water, splashing and swimming. He pulls me close, his lips meeting mine as we float in the crystal-clear water.

His grunt pulls me from the vision. He’s still above me, and I focus on his face. “Are you okay?”

He pulls back, grinning. “Yes, I am. This is incredible, and I’m struggling not to finish too soon. I want this to last, even if just for a few minutes.”

Our attention shifts to the door as the snarls grow louder. He takes a deep breath, pulling out and sinking back in slowly, a long groan escaping his lips.

I place my hand on his cheek. “We have the rest of our lives for this, baby. They’ve broken through the lines, haven’t they?”

He nods, his eyes closing. “They have. I hoped our men could hold them off longer, but there were too many.”

I reach up, kissing him. “Finish this. I know you wanted it to be more special.” A thud echoes from the other side of our door. “But I don’t want to see you fighting for your life either. This lasts a week, right?”

His eyes open, a wicked glint in them. “I understand. We can take our time next round.” The scratching and banging on the door intensify, bodies slamming against the wood, desperate to break in.

His head buries in the crook of my neck as he quickens his pace. His grunts grow louder with each thrust. He hits a spot that makes me tighten up quickly, and then he hits it again, sending a wave of pleasure through me. A growl escapes him as his teeth sink into my neck, his body freezing as he releases inside me. He releases my neck, letting out a long howl as the twitching continues for a moment longer. The noise outside the door ceases as he collapses onto his elbows, careful not to crush me.

He pushes himself up slightly. “They’re retreating. Your heat cycle scent has disappeared; I’m the only one who can smell it now.” He pulls out, laying down next to me. His body trembles as I snuggle against his chest.

“Why are you shaking?” I ask, turning to lay my hand on his chest.

“Heh,” he blushes, “the connection, everything that just happened, it’s overwhelming. The bond with Diego was powerful. I’ll be okay soon; just stay with me while we get through this.”

I can feel the connection pulsing through me, linking my thoughts and feelings to his. I can feel his emotions: love, pleasure, and a hint of embarrassment.

I furrow my brows. “Why are you embarrassed? I thought it was wonderful.”

He chuckles softly. “You can’t tell anyone our first time was less than five minutes. Men like to be seen as lasting long with their mates; it would make me look weak.”

I laugh with him. “We didn’t have a choice. I don’t know how much longer that door would have held up.”

He pulls me closer. “I made that door when I was twelve. It’s made of sturdy English wood, designed to withstand attacks. It would have held up for an hour, but I couldn’t let the patrol fight any longer. Some of them were injured earlier; I had to get them away from us. They’re not severely injured, but they did get hurt.”

I pull back slightly. “We need to check on them. If they were hurt protecting me, I want to make sure they’re okay.”

He pulls me closer. “They’re okay, love. Just a few cuts and bites. By the time we get dressed, they’ll be healed. They did what they were ordered to do: protect us at all costs. That’s what the patrol does; they protect everyone in the pack, no matter the threat.”

I start to sweat again as my body heats up. “Oh my God! Is it going to be like this the whole time?”

He rolls on top of me, grinning. “I’m not sure, but your scent is driving me wild. This time, I’m going to take my time with you. I had to rush the first time, but now we can take our time.”

He starts kissing me slowly, his lips traveling down to the fresh mark on my neck. I wince as he touches it, but a wave of desire washes over me. His lips continue their journey down my chest, his tongue circling my breast, sending shivers through me. His finger traces a path down my stomach, circling my clit and drawing a moan from me. I can feel his grin against my skin as he continues to tease me. The heat builds, and I’m panting by the time he pulls away.

“Drake, please,” I manage to gasp out.

His eyes sparkle as he looks at me. “Please, what? You need to tell me what you want; I don’t want to guess.”

His smile widens, and I groan. “I need you, please.”

He doesn’t move. “What do you need? Are you hungry?”

Frustrated, I smack his chest. “Don’t play like this; I need you to make love to me. Please.”

His lips brush mine as he lowers himself onto me. “That wasn’t so hard to ask for, was it?”

I growl at him, letting him know I’m not in the mood for games. He enters me slowly, and this time there’s no pain. He kisses me passionately as he moves in and out of me. He keeps a steady pace until he pulls out, flipping me over and pulling me up to my knees. His hands grip my hips as he enters me again, hitting a spot that makes my knees buckle. I arch my back as the pressure builds, my body shaking as an intense orgasm washes over me. His body freezes as he follows suit, his release making him shudder. He lays his head on my back as we catch our breath, our bodies slowly coming down from the high. I’m covered in sweat, panting, looking down at the bed soaked with our sweat and a bit of blood. His hand rests on my back as he pulls out, stepping off the bed. I turn to look at him, his body glistening with sweat. He walks over to unlock the door, the threat now gone.

“Let’s shower after I order us some food. I’m sure I’ve burned off my lunch.” He tugs gently on my foot.

I step off the bed as he places a large food order. We walk into the bathroom, and he turns on the water before closing the door. He takes fresh towels out of the cabinet, hanging them up and tossing the used ones down the chute.

“Someone’s coming to change the sheets. This shower should help cool us down a bit.” He opens the door, gesturing for me to get in.

We both wade into the cooler water, a welcome relief for my overheated body. He moves behind me, his hands tracing down my sides as I step under the shower head, letting the water cascade over me. He reaches for the shampoo, squirting some onto his hand before gently massaging it into my scalp. I lean back into him, relishing the sensation.

Once he’s done, the water rinses the soap from my hair. He picks up a body poof and some body wash, slowly working it over my body, ensuring every inch is covered in the foamy lather. He helps rinse me off, and then I take his products and return the favor.

A notification comes through that our room has been cleaned and our food is on its way. We step out of the shower, drying off, and he hands me a silver robe hanging next to his black one. We wrap the robes around ourselves and tie them off.

A knock sounds at the door just as he walks out. He opens it to a young man carrying a covered tray, which he sets down on the table outside overlooking the backyard. The sun is just beginning to dip below the trees, casting a cool light over the veranda. He pulls out my chair for me, and I sit down before he takes his own seat.

He lifts the cover off the tray, releasing the delicious aroma of our meal. My mouth waters as we fill our plates and dig in, satisfying the hunger that had been gnawing at us in the shower.

Feeling a blush creep up my cheeks, I ask, “How long does this heat last again?” I run a hand through my wet hair.

He grins at me. “Mom said it’s about a week, give or take. We’ll be holed up in here until sometime next week, mostly in bed. We’ll only get up to eat, shower, or use the bathroom.”

I drop my chicken leg in surprise. “What about school?”

His laughter echoes around the courtyard. “They understand, Addy. You won’t fall behind much. If we do, they’ll let us make everything up. The teachers go through this every year, too. Haven’t you ever wondered why they disappear for about a week and we get substitutes?”

I shake my head. “I never thought about it. My parents never taught me about this stuff.”

He picks up the chicken leg I dropped and hands it back to me. “Don’t be embarrassed to ask anything. I’ll never make you feel bad for asking a question.”

He takes a big bite of pulled pork. We continue eating until I can’t take another bite. I sit back, patting my stomach. I feel like I might burst if I eat any more. I watch our pack members going about their chores or enjoying the early evening as he finishes his meal.

When he’s done, we move to a lounge chair. I sit on his lap, watching the sky change from pink to purple to orange as the sun sets. When the spring air starts to nip at our skin, we head back inside. We spend the rest of the night in bed, losing count of the number of times we make love.
