Ruby's

"Make sure you pack all of your skirts and vests" "okay mom. I know." I said to her coldly. Although  I didn't go through what Red did I was still mentally scared by mother. I've only gotten 5 Brandings in my life. Red's gotten 24. Some of them were my fault. Me and Red are only different when it comes to style but personality wise,we're similar. She's just more bold. I can't punch someone because they call my friend a bitch. I don't stick up for myself very well. I finished packing all my important essentials and I laid in bed for a little staring at the text messages between Red and I. She was my only REAL friend since mom didn't really let us go out and have friends. "Ruby dear, did you finish packing?" My mother peeked her head through the door "yes I did." I responded not making eye contact with her "Ruby don't be a stranger when you get at AP. Some kids there will change your life, just try and make friends" she said before walking out closing the door silently. After a while of scrolling through Red and I's past messages i message her goodnight. I set my alarm to 6 AM so I had enough time to get Ready and go out to the Car moms taking me in. I fell asleep watching a mini movie on my phone.

I woke up sharply from the alarm since I'm not used to being woken up by something other than mom screaming at Red, or the shriveled sounds of a beheading. I get out of bed slowly rubbing my eyes and stretching out my arms. I got one of my favorite pink skirts and a pink vest with the outline being white, I grabbed leg warmers and fishnets with a lot of bracelets. I went into the bathroom to shower and brush my teeth, putting three cute clips in my hair. There are really only some days were a feel like wearing a lot of pink, today I wanna make a good first impression as the new girl from wonderland. Normal my fit is more gothic kind off, like reds but in skirt form. I finished getting ready and grabbed my bag i packed the night before and walked out my room for the last time. Thinking about it like that makes me sad a little but I feel free knowing I won't wake up to Red vandalizing the village, or the sounds of my mother screaming at Red for the vandalism. I'd be free from all of it. I rushed to get in the car as mother waited for me and smiled once I got in. "I'm glad you're going to spend more time with your sister,Ruby." My mother said as a looked out the window, seeing the deadly roses and talking rabbits having little tea parties. "I know mom." I said cold. I don't know how to show any emotion near my mother, I know deep down she broke me in a way. But I feel better when I'm with Red, I can open up to her without her hitting or yelling at me for crying or being to sensitive. We arrived at AP shortly and I saw Red and principal Uma standing outside the front entrance. I got out and grabbed my bad as mom said goodbye but I didn't have the heart to pay her any attention. I gave Red a tight hug as she tussled around in my hair "you ready Little rabbit?" She said as she smiled "yea, I think" I replied, she held my hand and walked with me up to my dorm, giving me my very own room key. A huge smile was plastered on my face and she giggled a little. We walked all the way to my dorm as Uma yapped about the "do's and don't's" at  AP I made sure to pay attention. I really don't want to have a bad year so I'm gonna try and do a really good job. "I do a lot of the Don'ts so don't be like me Ruby" she said laughing as Uma glared at her and she immediately stopped laughing. We got inside my dorm and she helped me set up my room, making my bed comfy and setting up my new desk.

Reds POV

When I was done helping Ruby set up her room I immediately rushed for first period since I'm not supposed to be missing class. I walk in and sit with leah before the teacher notices I was late "where were you,wonderland?" Leah said smirking "helping out Ruby with her room" I replied almost a little out of breath "who's Ruby?" She asked me flipping to the page in our textbook "oh Ruby? She's my sister" "you have one?! I never knew that" I laughed at her shock and got to work, well partly working.

Time skip! -lunch-

I was eating lunch with my usual friends and I saw Ruby come in looking around for me, I get up and walk over to her taking her away from the large crowd and long line of kids trying to get school lunch "I'm always at this table okay Rubs" I said holding her hand and walking to the the table "okay!" She said cheerfully. Shit I need to go see Chloe "Hey Ruby, wanna go see chloe with me" I asked, only because I didn't want to leave her with my friends. Not that I don't trust them but they can be a handful at times. We started walking out the cafeteria when I spot Kai and Aziz leaning on a locker talking about whatever pricks talk about. I grab Ruby by the hand and start walking over to the dorms but not even a step further Kai spots us and starts walking over still laughing and punching Aziz "who's your friend wonderland." He said as they stood taller in front of us. "That's none of your business Kai." I said coldly looking him dead in his eyes. "You know, I'm still pissed about my necklace." He said flicking my forehead causing me to slap his hand away "who the fuck cares about your necklace." I said pushing him back a little. I didn't want to fight Kai cuz I knew that he was a good fighter, I mean, I am too our strengths even up. "I want my fucking necklace,Red" he said aggressively shoving me into a locker behind me "HEY KNOCK IT OFF!" Ruby yelled, shit I don't need her seeing this right now. I grabbed her arm pulling her closer to me "I'll be up in a few minutes." She looked at me hesitantly but i shoved her forward and she sprinted to my dorm. "Tell me who she is and I'll leave you be." Kai said grinning walking closer to me, my back not leaving the locker. "It's not of your concern Kai!" I said getting impatient with this whole interaction. "God your so fucking annoying." He said kneeing me in the stomach full strength, causing me to cough rapidly.

Chloe's POV

I was sitting in the dorm waiting for Red when the door barged open. I thought it was red but it was that little weirdo that follows red everywhere she goes. "REDS FIGHTING KAI!" my heart sank to my stomach as I immediately got up and walked closer to her "Where?" I questioned, I needed to do something at least, I didn't care if I was suspended. "Right outside the cafeteria, someone named Kai?" "Stay here. Don't move." I said shoving her out the way and closing the door on her, sprinting towards the cafetería and once I get there I see Red surrounded by Aziz and Kai. I could see a black bruise forming around her eye which made my blood boil. "Damn Kai..your that desperate you gotta stalk Red around the school?" I said causing him to stop bothering Red and point his attention to me. "Crazy seeing you here" he said as were face to face, red coughing behind him. "Just because you snitched doesn't mean I'm not going to come out my dorm." Before I could do anything principal Uma came around the corner and once she saw Reds condition, she was furious. "What are you guys doing out here! Chloe why are you out your dorm?" "Yea Chloe, why are you out your dorm" Kai mocked but i punched him in the stomach making him wince and whine. "Chloe!" Uma yelled "LOOK WHAT HE DID TOO RED" I yelled becoming frustrated with her. She looked at me shocked. "Kai is literally harassing Red and your getting mad at me because I "retaliated". Please pay attention to what's going on at AP because this fucking bully is walking the halls harassing people and he isn't suspended." I went on as everyone stood in place and Kai just laughed. Uma snapped her fingers in frustration, pinching the bridge of her nose as two pirates came out and dragged Kai to the principals office. "Chloe you can go back to your everyday classes but don't let this happen again." She said walking away. I grabbed Red who was nearly unconscious and carried her up to my room, shooting Aziz a glare. "I'm fine Chloe, I don't need you to carry me." She said falling in and out of consciousness. "Sure princess" I brought her into our dorm and for some reason Ruby was still there, sitting on Reds bed. She shot her head up immediately after hearing the door her door open "is she okay?! What happened!" She said as she tried inspecting red. I shoved her off though, I didn't need her help and I definitely didn't need her sniffing around me while I care for this bruised girl. "Back up, she's going to be fine." I said throwing her off again as I walked Red over to my bed placing her down gently.

Ruby's POV

I haven't even started my classes yet and I'm getting into my sisters shit. Not that I'm really upset about that  but I just thought it would be different. Chloe kept shoving me off when I tried to see Red, she kept falling in and out of consciousness. Chloe was very calm about this, has she dealt with Red being roughed up? She lifted Reds shirt up and I saw the ugliest bruises from when that guy kneed her, that's probably why she can't keep her eyes open for a minute. I felt so angry, what could Red have done that was so bad, was Chloe also involved? If so I'm going to find out because I'm not going to be at AP for a whole year and watch my sister get beat up. Chloe pressed an ice back on Reds eye and that definitely woke her up. "OW! WHAT ARE U DOING CHLOE?!" she yelled clenching the wrist that Chloe was using to hold the ice. "I'm helping you, now quit squirming." Chloe said as she migrated the ice to her stomach wound, she yelled some more. "Where's,Ruby?" She questioned, I was just sitting on the edge of the bed watching this care. "She's on your bed" Chloe said coldly, I don't think Chloe likes me very much, but I don't know why, I just got here. Red tried to lift her self up but that would force her to use her abdomen and that's not the best idea for her. "Red stop moving so much,damn" Chloe said as frustration rumbled in her throat. A few minutes of Red trying to fight the ice off Chloe we get a knock at the door and Principal Uma walks in "Kai won't be bothering you guys for a few weeks at least, he'll be back just not until I feel like lifting his suspension. Chloe I expect to see you back to school tomorrow (Thursday) you as well Red, Ruby you can have a day off tomorrow and Friday since you wont be starting until Monday." "Alright thank you Principal Uma" Chloe said trying to contain the excitement in her. Uma waved her hand goodbye and closed the door, I was still sitting here watching Red and Chloe fight over an ice pack. I got up and walked over to to them, looking between both of them "oh hi Ruby!" Red said sitting up but wincing at her action for a second. "Wanna head over to ur dorm for a bit" I really wanted to get out of here so I smiled and nodded but in the corner of my eye I saw Chloe role her eyes and walk away. I have no idea why she hates me. Red pulled her shirt down and walked with me to my dorm.

Chloe's POV

This new girl is making me mad, why is she always near Red? Apparently she hasn't even started school and she already has a crush, on my Red. I'm not jealous but i am, and red isn't making it any better by always hanging out with her and being in her dorm. Wait, what do they even do in the dorm alone.. I'm sure they aren't doing anything so i shouldn't overthink anything. At least i get to start school back tomorrow, I won't have to see anymore of that Ruby kid. I realized I was in my dorm trapped with my thoughts so I thought it would be a good idea to go for a walk. I hesitated to walk out since I have a lot of people who have it out for me, more than I've mentioned. It should be fine. I grab my coat and walked out the dorm. Strolling down the halls and towards the main entrance of the school. Exiting the school grounds I walk around AP since I never really took the time to actually see what AP looks like out of school. I check the time and it Read 8:25 pm, I'm sure it's fine since Red is with whatever her name is. I walk far away from campus almost making my way to the isle. I didn't know where I was going but I was going somewhere I just didn't want to be in my dorm anymore. I got a text from red but I don't feel like talking to her Right now, so I just left her on delivered. I walked to the isle getting another text from Red, repeating my previous action I closed my phone putting into my back pocket. I went up to the little place where Evie and Mal hung out and to my surprise I saw Evie there sketching outfit designs with a projector out of one of her ideas. "Oh hi Chloe! Back on the isle? And alone? That's bold of you princess." She smiled looking back at her drawings "yea, I just needed to take a break from AP right now." I said taking a seat on the couch. "Yea, I heard AP is nothing like how it was before. To many fights." "Yea. Way too many" I said starting at the floor "ooo? Is there tea from Miss goodie 2 shoes?" I smiled nervously knowing there was way too much tea. "Red and I are getting into it deep with this Kai kid." "Wait Kai?? That kid is evil. He seems fine for know but once his dad gets involved... did something happen?" My heart dropped to my stomach. "I broke the necklace he used to spell red." Evie shot up immediately causing my head to snap at her. "Chloe, you what!" "There was no other way! I had to or red would hate me!!" I said burying my head into my palms groaning. Evie sat next to me rubbing my back. "I'll grab mal and we will talk to his dad." I nodded my head not looking up from the floor. "You need to get back to AP, I'm sure Uma's suspended him for now but he's probably wandering the campus. Be careful Chloe please, I don't need a call from Uma telling me your in the hospital or something." She said getting up cutting off her projector. I smiled at her and left, pondering why she was so worried for me and she barley even knew me. I guess that didn't really matter, me and Red could be in deeper shit than I thought. I checked my phone for the time that read 12 Am, also noticing 25 messages from Red. Making it back to the campus, I'm walking towards the front court yard were all the kids hang out during lunch and I see a weird group of figures sitting at a bench, there's gotta be like 5. I couldn't make out who they were because it was dark and Auradon cuts off their lights at 10. I didn't pay any mind to them since people sneak out their dorms all the time, I also didn't want to draw attention to myself since Kai could possibly be in that group. Suddenly the group went silent as they tried to figure out who I was and why I was out so late. " who's that?" One of them said while stretching out his arm in my direction

I thought to myself, I didn't want to speak because I didn't know who these kids were or if one of them was Kai. One of the figures stood up from the table and I heard a click noise, at the corner of my eye I see the metal blade as the moonlight beamed onto it. "I'm just trying to get back to my dorm. I was at the isle" I explained trying not to cause any trouble "where do I recognize that prissy voice from." The figure with the blade questioned, at this point my hands were starting to tremble. "I have a very recognizable voice.?" I tried to convince him. "Nah, I know you from somewhere." He walked towards me so we are feet away. "Who are you." He asked leaning down. I knew this was Kai from the way he smelled, I had to think of a name quickly. "I'm.. uh"  i stumbled trying to think of a name quickly. "What, don't remember your own name?" He said laughing a little "not when I'm under pressure, you do have a blade in your hand." "A blade that was just freshly sharpened, I have no remorse for princesses with a smart mouth" he poked the flesh under my jaw. "Maddie, I'm mad hatters daughter .. Yk the one from wonderland" I replied calmly, not letting myself worry. "Shit you know that Red girl?" I nodded as he pulled his blade away from my skin. "Yk what dorm she's in?" As I was about to open my mouth to speak my phone rang, it was a call from Red. I couldn't pick it up because the light would reveal both our faces. "Pick it up." He said, i immediately cut off my phone "wasn't mine, my phones off for the week." I lied. Kai walked over to the group that was still sitting at the picnic table, watching everything unfold and grabbed his phone, turning on the flash. I smiled as he realized it was me "damn your everywhere. You stalking me charming?" He said gripping my wrist before i could try and run inside. "Not even in your wildest dreams Kai." Why is he so calm? What is he planning. "Okay look. I'll leave you and your little bitch-" "don't fucking call her that." I cut him off sharply. "Watch who you're talking to,Princess." I rolled my eyes in frustration. I really needed to get back to Red, she's probably worried sick. This kid won't let me go.  "As I was saying, if you just get back with me I can leave red alone." I laughed in his face, was he stupid? Really?did he really think he was worth my love and attention. "Please! Are you really that stu-" he cut me off by holding his blade back up to my throat, making me tremble "Chloe, I don't know who the fuck you think you are, but when your not with you weirdo girlfriend your nothing." He said backing me up into a trunk of a tree giving me the perfect chance to knee him in the stomach, kicking him to the ground. "Stop talking about her like that, it's no one's fault but yours that you're jealous." I tried to walk away but his group was already closing in on me, making my chances of escaping slim. Kai lifted himself off the ground and walked closer to me, as we were surrounded by his friend and his in the middle. "Can we talk about this in the morning perhaps?" I recommended. "Chloe.. I already beat up your friend, you got me suspended when your supposed to be suspended. So you can take my offer or-" "I'm not dating you Kai." I said cutting off this cringe interaction. God he's like a desperate puppy, i would never do that to Red, even if I did it wouldn't be with this kid. Cutting me off from my thoughts I felt a blade piercing my side hip. "WHAT THE FUCK!" I yelled grabbing the wrist Kai was using to hold the knife. "Shit dude don't you think that's to far?" "Yea that's a little much.." the two said as the others agreed. "You guys will never understand what it's like to be madly in love."EW! He's one of those guys who fan stalk and never leaves people alone. The group started to close in on Kai forcing him to remove the blade, I clutched my wound trying to keep blood from escaping wincing at the pain. "Fuck I hate that kid." I mumbled under my breath as the guys were yelling at Kai giving me a chance to run inside. I was running for a minute but I started to get light headed, making it to the hall of my dorm room I walk slowly,my hands trembled trying to reach for my phone. I knew I was going to black out eventually and I didn't really feel like dying right now. I started to walk faster to my dorm as my vision got blurry and my head rang like a bell. Walking in seeing Red pacing around the room and Ruby trying to calm her down. She noticed my current state and rushes over to me as I collapse in her arms as my vision went black and the last think I heard  was her yelling for me.

Reds POV

Fuck Chloe, always blacking out due to loss of blood. As im inspecting her I see her shirt is drenched in dark crimson fuck Chloe.. why didn't you answer your phone. I thought to my self. I immediately ran getting a lot of bandages "Ruby call Uma! HURRY!" I shouted impatiently knowing Chloe has already lost too much. Ruby ran to our dorm room clicking the numbers and calling Uma. I finished wrapping up Chloe tightly as Uma arrived with a lot of paramedics, lifting the unconscious girl of the floor and taking her out to the ambulance I followed her leaving Ruby in my dorm with snacks and the TV remote. "Lock the door and do NOT leave." She tried to hold onto my arm not wanting me to go but I kissed her forehead running out behind the paramedics. I jumped into the back where they placed Chloe and they shut the doors on us, leaving me and two other paramedics hooking her up to an IV. I grabbed Chloe's hand gently caressing it with my thumb. your so stupid Chloe. I thought to myself. I knew Kai was behind this, as mad as I was there wasn't anything I could do. I mean there was but I  don't want to make anything worse than it already is. Kai would be an ongoing problem for me and Chloe and I need to figure out how to get Rid of him for good. If Uma isn't going to help me I'm going to do it myself, I know exactly who will help me.  We arrived at the hospital and Chloe was rushed in by many doctors and paramedics following behind her, trying to wake her up from multiple times as she kept falling unconscious. I sat in the waiting room  and texted my mom, knowing she would help me with just a little convincing.

R: hey mom.. can I ask for a really big favor?

Mom:sure hun, what's up

Red: I want to host a branding, I'll need some guards to come over and find this kid, he's a little tall and wears a lot of voodoo and dark purple colors.

Mom: oh my.. any reason on why?

Red: yea he's a bitch, Chloe's in the hospital because of him and I have a very ugly bruise on my side because of him.

Mom: well, i suppose it should be fine. I'll get guards to come your way tomorrow, is Uma fine with you missing school? It's Thursday.

Red: Saturday will be fine. He likes to roam the campus anyways.

Mom: Alright dear, text me on Saturday please.

Red: got it.

I closed my phone. I knew what I was doing is insane, but Kai is getting out of hand and I'm not going to let Ruby and Chloe suffer just because I got spelled that night. As I sat in the waiting room a doctor came out calling my name, I stood up and she gestured for me to follow her into Chloe's room. "She's going to to be fine, nothing important was punctured so she should be alright." I smiled at the doctor as she left me alone with Chloe, she laid their limp, her torso wrapped. She clenched her fist and tried to move around as she began to regain consciousness . "Don't move Chloe you need too lay still." I said grabbing her hand gently as she grunted opening her eyes a bit. "Can you dim the lights please." She said quietly, her voice cutting out a little. "Of course" I got up and dimmed the lights for her, I didn't realize how bright it was in here until It got darker. "I'm sorry I didn't answer your messages." Her voice rasped and cracked. "It's alright Chloe don't worry about it." I sat down next to her kissing her temple. "I was at the isle, with Evie." "Were you?" "Mhm, and I walked back at 12 something. I knew you would be worried so I tried to hurry back. But I was stopped by Kai. And now I'm here." She told me somewhat slurring over her words a little. "You'll be okay Chlo." I said resting my head on the bed. "Are you upset with me..?" She questioned softer than before, her voice trembling. "No of course not. I'm not upset at you Chloe." "Promise?" "I promise" I smiled at her as she fell asleep. She needed rest so I sat with her not leaving her side.
