Get rid of her.

Chloe's POV

I made it back to school and up to my dorm, I walked in expecting Red to be sitting on her bed or on the couch but she wasn't, I wasn't upset at her or mad at her, I was just worried and shocked is all. I don't know where she could be. I thought maybe she was still at wonderland but just hiding out somewhere. I picked up my sword and clipped it on to my belt leaving the dorm and sprinting out the front doors of AP. Panting out of breath I made it to the rabbit hole once again, I jumped through and fell out the other side losing my balance, Probably because I didn't catch my breath before I jumped through. I lifted myself up and ran to the humongous castle, avoiding any weird floating cats or killer flowers. As I ran through the door scarring her mother she shot her head up looking at me with confusion"Chloe? Is something wrong?" Her mother questioned "where's red??"

Reds POV

I ran. I couldn't bare my sister seeing me as a tyrant, I couldn't be around Chloe, not after the shit I just pulled. I'm still in wonderland, just out of site. Eventually Chloe and whoever else will forget about me and I'll be forgotten and that's what I want. I don't need the townsfolk being scared of me, or my sister or my girl.. or Chloe. I have everything I need, A roof, a bed, some food, clothes even. All the necessary things to keep me alive and semi well. I was in a mini cabin at the far end of the woods, the pink trees and white roses. Yes, I was so far back the roses here have been neglected and forgotten. Everyone who goes back here is. There was only one person who knew that this place existed and it was Ruby, we ran away here when mom got out of control or if we just needed a break. I wasn't going to go back to school, I'm failing anyways so why go back? I'm definitely not going back to the castle, I don't need to be over there. I can just be isolated and alone, I mean I like it like this! No townsfolk, no mom or Chloe and Ruby. I love them to the bottom of my heart, but.. yea. It was getting late so I had a shower and changed into the pjs I brought. I laid in bed and scrolled on my phone, looking through past pictures and messages, laughing but also shedding a few tears. I'll get over it, eventually.

Chloe's POV

"What do you mean where's red? She's here is she not." Her mother asked stopping everything she was doing. "No, she left! Like hours ago, I tried to find her at AP but she wasn't there." I noticed that Ruby girl peaked her head out of Red's door, why the fuck is she even in there?? And WHO IS SHE??! "We'll find her Chloe. Dont spiral yourself out" her mother requested as she walked over to a guard. As I was waiting for something to come up I saw the Ruby girl casually walk out, what..is she running away to?? I mean that wouldn't be so bad, Red wouldn't have to worry about her anymore. "We're sending a search party for Red, this isn't our first time trying to find her so don't worry she'll be back soon. For now you should get some rest in her room." Her mom suggested. "sorry, I can't sleep without knowing Red is alright." I turned down her offer, I left the castle and searched for Red. It was already 8 so she'd had been gone 4 hours now.

Ruby's POV

I knew where Red was. Chloe glared at me angrily, I still don't know why she hates me. I didn't care though. I don't know what happened to Red at the courtyard today but when we made eye contact I knew she regretted it. She was just upset and I can't really blame her, if someone were to put my girlfriend in the hospital I would be upset too, I would've done what she had done. I also understood why Chloe was trying to stop her, Red rejected Chloe and her feelings, that's where she messed up. I think she just needs some reassurance right now so I'm going to go to the one place I know she'll be. I strolled though the woods, greeting the beautiful roses and a interesting animals, not anything I haven't seen a million times before. I walked for another 30 minutes, the time was now 9:25 and the sounds of guards shuffling around looking for Red were drowned out since I was pretty far from the castle. I started seeing the neglected white roses, I touched the white petals gently, they were soft and pure, unlike the Red painted ones. Once I reached the cabin I walked inside knowing Red wouldn't lock the door. I saw her laying on the bed not doing anything.. just staring at the ceiling. "What do you need Ruby." She said bluntly, not making eye contact with me. "For you to come home." I walked in and closed the door behind me "I'm not coming home for a while, now get out." She tried she push me away as usual.  "Chloe's looking for you, y'know" "that's funny." I rolled my eyes in frustration knowing she wasn't going to leave so easily. "I'm being truthful! Come home or you'll make mom and your girlfriend worry!" I raised my tone at her, her head snapped towards in my direction when I called Chloe her girlfriend. I wasn't wrong? "She's not my fucking girlfriend, I'm not coming home." She snapped and snarled. "Suit yourself." I reached into a pocket and clicked a red button, letting mom and the guards know where I was and that I was with Red. "What did you do?" She questioned me sitting up "nothing.." I said with a smug grin, a few seconds went by and the guards brushed past me, grabbing Red by her arms and legs taking her back to the plaza. I felt a little bad for ratting her out but she wasn't planning on leaving.. ever. I followed behind them as she kicked, screamed, squirmed around but whatever.. she was doing, wasn't working.  We arrived back at the plaza and they sat Red down but because Red is so dramatic she plopped down and stretched her limbs out like a star fish. "Quit being so dramatic" I said nudging her side with my foot "why did you bring me back." She looked up towards the night sky. "Because you can't hide out forever." "I could've, you brought me back. I don't want to be here." She tilted her head in my direction but turned away after a minute or so. " I know you don't want to be here, but you've got to be here, Or Chloe would literally go insane." "She doesn't even want to see me?! Why the fuck did you bring me back Ruby??" She became frustrated and impatient. I didn't say anything else. She tried to get up and walk away but the guards kept her down as we waited for Chloe and mom to come out. 3 minutes passed and there was no sign of them so I walked in the house and saw Chloe on the couch shedding various tears and mom was still trying to map out where this girl could be. "I found her" there heads shot up to me "she's outside" I said walking up my room, Chloe and mom were already out the door.

Chloe's POV

How did that thing find her before me, AND WHY IS SHE HERE?! I saw Red laying on the ground as the guards stood above her making sure she didn't try and run..again. I sprinted to her lifting her up off the floor and holding onto her  shoulders out In front of me, her head was tilted to the side not making eye contact with me. I could tell she was full of guilt and regret, she was anxious to be face to face with me. She fidgeted with the rings on her finger as her hands trembled some. I pulled her into a tight hug but she just stood there, not hugging me back, tears dwelled in her eyes as they started to fall and she started to sob her tears drenching my shoulder. "I'm sorry.." she said, her voice was a higher pitched, it trembled and cracked as she tried to speak. "It's okay Red" I rubbed her back gently as her mom watched in awe. We stood still for a few as Reds arms dangled by her sides, "I'm not mad at you Red." I said in her ear gently. She pulled away and wiped her tears, her head still tilted to the side as her final tear rushed down her face. I gently wiped the single tear from her cheek, taking her hand in mine as our fingers intertwined with each other. "So when is this going to happen?" Her mother asked as I laughed softly and uncomfortably. "Mom!" Red said softly out of embarrassment "well you guys have been in some friends with benefits relationship for a while and you've already-" "okay! Thank you, mom" Red cut her off and walked passed her, dragging me close behind.

Reds POV

I don't know how this girl couldn't hate me. How could she not hate me.? We walked into the castle and I took her into the kitchen, I didn't feel like going upstairs right now. I noticed the bruises that formed around Chloe's wrist from when I grabbed her. I wanted to run back to the cabin, but Ruby would just find me again. "Red, it's fine." Chloe assured. I knew it wasn't "fine" how could I look at anyone and do such terrible things? I looked at Chloe face to face and continued to hurt her. Why didn't I let go of her?. All the sudden I felt her hands lock with mine "Red, it's fine." She repeated, I wanted to be sucked up into a dark abyss beneath me. I wanted to escape from all my troubles and thoughts. I couldn't bring myself to look at her, if I did I would break. My heart would shatter. I was horrible to her and she still forgave me, I didn't listen to her and I bruised her yet she still forgave me. She's the only person who's really been there for me, who's forgiven every mistake I've done and didn't see me as a train wreck, a rebel. A troubled kid or a misfit. Yet for some odd reason I can't bring myself to say I love her, I know I do but something's stopping me. A lot of things have been stopping me from doing tons of things. I snapped out of whatever trans I was in and got up to grab some ice from the freezer, putting it in two separate ziplock bags and wrapping them up with some paper towels I rested it on her wrist. She winced a little but didn't fight back or retaliate.  Again another tear escaped my eye, running down my cheek leaving a trail behind it. I don't know why I can't stop crying, I just felt so horrible. I wiped the tear quickly sniffing gently. She says it fine and she's alright but I just can't forgive myself, ever. "Girls you need to start heading back to AP." My mother called from outside. "Alright" Ruby was already out the door and in the front seat of our jeep. As I was about to walk to the jeep Chloe grabbed my hand gently and walked with me, it made me smile a little but it faded away after seeing those bruises on her wrists. She looked at me sympathetically as we walked out, my mom snickered and Ruby just sat on her phone. I didn't know if she was mad at me or scared of me, but she isn't talking to me. Chloe and I sat in the jeep far from each other but still holding hands but I let go soon after, still feeling a wave a guilt and regret. I don't know how I've been such a pain to this girl and she still forgives me; She's weird. Resting my head on the car door gazing out the window, noticing the leaves on the trees were starting to fall off their branches, the leaves were turning a bright orange color leaving the summer green behind. My mom wasn't driving as fast in the car because she knew we were all tired and just ready to sleep, or at least I was.

My phone got a message from Chloe, she was sitting right next to me, why didn't she just say something?

Bluey🩵: U o-kay?💗

Red: yea.

Bluey🩵: your lying, you don't type with periods when your okay.

Red: I should learn how to use appropriate punctuation.

Bluey🩵: we need to talk when we get to the dorm.

I shut my phone off and looked at Chloe, when I saw that message I knew I was either going to get scolded or something worse. Normally she liked to use a lot of emojis or something to express the way she feels through text but she hasn't done that ever since she got out the hospital. She scares me when she's really serious about something, her dedication to things is intimidating for me. We pulled up to AP and my mom waved us goodbye "Red, don't get into any trouble." She said as she drove off. Ruby didn't hesitate to rush to her room, the silence in the car probably made her uncomfortable or something. I followed far behind Ruby and Chloe was right next to me, scrolling on her phone. I didn't pay her any mind since she already seemed pretty upset. I was looking down at the floor tracing every step I took before I felt myself slam into Ruby "shit, what the fuck are you doing?" I called as she was just stopped in place. "Sorry. Can we talk in my dorm please." I looked at Chloe who almost looked jealous, she gestured for me to go and walked away up to the dorm. "Yea alright." I said to Ruby and we continued walking with Chloe far in front of us.

Chloe's POV

I was supposed to talk to Red once we got to the dorm, but Ruby is just so much more important that she has to talk to her first. I know I don't have any possession over red and who she likes but I think there's way too many people who have a little crush on her. Leah, and this thing who's everywhere. I reached my dorm and closed it behind me, maybe I accidentally slammed it, I don't really care. I'm not the crazy type but I need to find a way to get Rid of Ruby, it's not like me at all but fuck she's getting on my nerves. Maybe I'll send her to the isle, or the enchanted lake, she'll find her own way back right? I don't want to hurt her, not even in the slightest, but I don't even know what red and I are and I feel like if she's out the picture then it'll be easier for Red and I to figure it out. Without Ruby. As Red and Ruby were in the dorm across from mine doing who knows what, I was pondering and plotting. I heard a knock at the door and thought it was Red, I opened it to see Leah looking a bit worried. "Thank god your alive, I heard Red say that something bad happened to you, I was worried cause I haven't heard from any of you in days! Is red here? Is she alright? Are you okay?" I looked at the girl softly, she actually cares for me and I've been so rude to her. "Reds fine, she's with Ruby right now." I said. She smiled softly and said her goodbyes before leaving. I shut the door and sat at my desk, putting my arms out in front of me and laying my head down. After an hour of a room full of silence Red walked in puffy eyed like she had been crying. "You alright?" I asked "yea, we just needed to work some things out." Something about that didn't sound right, like they needed to work what out? A relationship?? "What did you want to talk about Chloe?" She said wiping the remaining tear off her cheek. "We can wait if your going through something." I said getting up from my desk and walking towards the girl. "No it's fine, it's nothing bad, you know I'm not good with heart to hearts." The fuck does she mean "heart to heart." What was she confessing her love? My blood started to boil but I kept calm and didn't jump to conclusions. "We can wait. I'll talk to you in the morning." Red nodded her head and plopped herself on the bed, patting the space beside her signaling me to come lay with her. We haven't done this in a while but I knew she needed someone. I laid myself right next to her. We were both faced up at the ceiling, well I was more propped up with pillows. Red lifted her head placing it right on my chest, I ran my fingers through her hair. She was so sad and tired, I haven't seen her real  smile in a long time. I wished everything would just go back to normal, when I didn't meet Kai. Everybody would be happy and normal, nobody would've been stabbed, well I'm really the only one who's been stabbed but that's okay because I'm not dead. I knew how I was going to keep Ruby away for a little, I'll just call some of my "friends" to Come get her and it will all be okay. Suddenly I felt Reds arms wrapped around my waste, hugging me softly. I felt my face grow warm and my heart pound out my chest, she laughed some and I rolled my eyes.  We sat in comfortable silence as Red traced shapes on my hip, I fiddled with strands of her hair. I didn't want to say anything yet because I wasn't sure if she wanted to talk, and I didn't want to push her. "Hey Chloe." Red called softly, still tracing little shapes. "Yea?" "Why arnt you mad at me?" She asked, I was a little confused "what do you mean?" I said placing my hand on her head. "I crossed a major line back at wonderland. I didn't listen to you, I-"

"I'm not mad at you because I know you didn't mean it." I said said cutting her short. "I meant some of it.." she lowered her voice "I know you didn't mean any of it, Red. You wouldn't hurt me on purpose, you were just upset and overwhelmed. You didn't know what else to do." "I guess.."

Ding

I got a message from my phone. "I'll be right back Red." She grunted as I got up to head into the bathroom.

??: is the girl Ready or what?

C: Yep yep yep! Thanks again. And don't hurt her, she's innocent.

??: no promises.

C: im serious. If she gets hurt then you can forget our deal.

??: alright alright. We're on our way now.

C: we?

??: yes, just me and a couple of my guys. To keep her quite y'know?

C: yea. Lemme know when she's at the isle.

??: you got it boss🫡

I closed out the text messages and locked my phone, walking out the bathroom to see Red sitting on the couch watching some challenges on YouTube. I sat down next to her and she rested her head on my lap, stretching out her legs to get comfortable. "What was that about chlo? Something happened?" "Nothing, just my mom checking in." I lied, I hate lying to the one person who cares a lot for me. "Have you told her? About all of the stuff that's been going on." She asked hesitantly, as if she would get in trouble with my parents. "No, not now." I said hoping this would be my last lie. 30 minutes passed by of Red and I watching YouTube videos before I get another message on my phone.

??: we got her, she's a fighter for sure. We are currently taking her back to the isle and she's knocked out cold in the back seat. The guys are making sure she doesn't fall or something.

C: thank you so much!

??: no problem, i expect to see you after school tomorrow to check up on her, don't be late princess.

C: don't call me princess. I'll be there.

I closed my phone and saw red looking at me with confusion "are you sure everything's alright?" "I said I'm fine alright??" She sat up after I accidentally snapped at her. "The fuck is your deal? Your acting off Chloe." She snarled. "Nothing! I said I'm fine." "If you say so." Really I was just nervous and anxious, wondering if what I was doing made me a bad person. I mean I'm not hurting anyone right? "You should get some sleep. We have school tomorrow."  She said getting up from the couch and sitting on her bed.

Reds POV

There's definitely something going on with Chloe, I'm not sure what but I'll find out eventually. Chloe looked anxious, like she was guilty for something. I know a look of guilt when I see one, but I just brushed it off and went to grab my phone so I could text Ruby goodnight. I waited for her to reply but got no response. That's fine, she's probably just asleep. I looked over at Chloe who was fidgeting with her fingers, i definitely knew something was up and she isn't hiding it very well. "Chloe want to come lay with me tonight? You seem anxious." She nodded her head slowly and placed her self on my bed, wrapping her arms around me tightly she buried her head in my neck. "Clingy much?" She nodded her head not making a sound. Soon after she fell asleep still in the same position, her body was relaxed and it's like whatever she was feeling while she was awake just drifted away. I ended up falling asleep soon after her, my hands were also wrapped around the sleeping girl.

I woke up to Chloe's alarm blaring loudly. I grunted as Chloe got up to turn it off. "Cmon Chloe 5 more minutes." I said burying my face in the pillow. "No, if we wait 5 more minutes we're going to be late. Now let's go." She hustled me out of bed "okay okay, I'm going." I got up to grab some clothes and head into the bathroom to shower. After my shower I brushed my teeth and Got dressed, wearing a black long sleeved compression shirt that had a red Spiderman symbol on it and some baggy jeans with my favorite belt. I left the bathroom and waited for Chloe to come out, when she did she was wearing more of a school girls outfit. Her hair was in a half up half down with a white bow in the back and a black and white plaid skirt with a vest, and some leg warmers with a couple of bracelets and her everyday necklace. "You ready?" I called "yep." We got our bags and put our shoes on heading out the door.

Ruby's POV

~last night~

Ding

Red texted me goodnight but before I could try to message her back three guys bursted through my dorm room and started grabbing me, trying to take me somewhere. "Who are you guys?! Get off of me!!" I kicked one of the guys in the nose causing them to drip with blood and grunt in pain. "Stop fighting us,kid!!" "Stop trying to kidnap me! Predator!!" I yelled, before I knew it he pulled out a needle stabbing me in the neck with it and inserting the mysterious liquid. Soon I was out cold, my limbs went limp and my vision went black.

As I started to wake up I noticed my arms were tied behind a chair, and my legs were tied together. My head hung low as I regained thought and consciousness. "Where am I?." I stuttered trying to pick my head up. "Your in the worst part of the isle kid, where all the real villains stay." I heard a guy with a bit of a southern accent say. His voice was deep and kind of scary. "I'm not a VK though so why am I here." I snarled at him. " because we got a call from a few people, saying that your a problem and needed to get rid of you." I thought he was going to kill me, I knew he was going to kill me! "Get rid of me?! Your going to murder me!?" I panicked "well, I won't if your not a pain. If you just sit there you'll be fine." He said sharping the blade he had "really. All I have to do is sit here? That's stupid." "Aye, stop talking would ya? I'm kinda busy." "Busy doing what? Kidnapping other little girls?? freak." I ridiculed him, it pissed him off some but I don't give a shit. "I was ordered to take you here." "Yea? By who." "can't tell ya that." He walked over to a shelf that was covered in many weapons. "So are you going to get some more girls freak?" I smirked but not even a second later a blade came flying past me, near miss. It cut off a small bit of my hair and stuck to the wall behind me. "Shit, only a few inches closer you would've gotten me." I joked. Deep down I was shitting my pants, I'm terrified right now but I don't want them to know that. I just came really close to death and that isn't fun to think about. "Fuck your like really annoying kid." He said pinching the bridge of his nose "well looks like ur boss just wanted to annoy you." I mocked him and giggled " no, they were just sick and tired of your bitch ass getting in the way of everything." That almost broke me but I don't even know who he was talking about. "So they needed a pussy boy like you to kidnap me?" He walked over to me with his sharpened knife. "I could hurt you." "Not without permission I bet."  He drew the blade across my cheek, drawing blood and staining my  cheek with crimson. "Now quit your fucking yap." "Fuck you!" I yelled panting from the pain as the blood dripped down my face. The man walked over to a table grabbing his phone and walked back over to me. Taking a picture of the scar and sending it to someone. "Permission my ass, I'll kill you. Watch your mouth." I stayed silent. "I just want to go home." I said under my breath, dropping my head low and giving up.

Chloe's POV

I got a message from my phone during 3rd period. I opened it up to see that it was a picture of Ruby and her face was dripping, covered in blood. There was a message pinned under it.

??: This brat is getting on my nerves. Hurry up or your going to find a dead body on your hands.

C: I told you not to hurt her! What the fuck are you doing!

??: I had to prove a point.

C: she's a child!

??: a really bitchy child. I'm not playing games with you princess, be here by lunch.

C: alright.

I closed my phone and Red was glaring at me. I smiled at her nervously and she just looked back up at the teacher.

Reds POV

Ruby isn't here and Chloe's acting weird as fuck,  Ruby wouldn't just randomly decided she didn't want to Come to school after she's been wanting to go to AP since she was 13. The bell rang and it was passing period, I grabbed Chloe by the hand and took her into the bathroom locking the door behind us. "What's wrong with you. Your acting weird, your guilty for something and you won't get off your phone. Do you know why Ruby  isn't here?" I questioned her, she looked at me as if she was confused but also somewhat offended that I would even accuse her. "What are you a fucking cop? I don't know why you think I know where Ruby is." She broke our eye contact, that's how I knew she was lying. "Then let me go through the messages you've been getting." "What?! No!" She backed up into the door, her back was pressed against the door and our faces were inches away. "Your a horrible Lier Chloe. What are you hiding." "I-I don't know!" She yelled anxiously. "I Know you know." I looked her dead in her eyes. She tried to turn her head away but I forced her to look back at me with my hand. A tear rushed down her face, shes horrible at hiding things and knew she was at her breaking point.

Ding

Her phone echoed through the bathroom. I snatched her phone taking it out her hand and running into the bathroom shutting the stall and locking it. She didn't yell or scream, she just cried. I opened the messages to find where my sister has been.
