He's more dangerous than we think.

Chloe's POV

"Red?!.."

I called locking my eyes on hers. My hands trembled as I held her hand tight. I caressed my thumb on the back of her hand gently, waiting for some form of response, eye flutter, mumbling, anything.

After a few minutes of absolutely nothing, not a twitch.. or a tremble, I dropped my head low but still keeping her hand in mine. Suddenly I felt a little finger tap on the back of my hand from Reds finger.

I shot my head up to see  my Red smiling at me. She sat up slowly and I immediately pulled her into the tightest hug, shedding a few tears.

I may be dramatic but I didn't know what was going on, I was scared. "I'm okay, princess" she said in a low voice but laughing a little. "Don't laugh!" I said sniffing away the water droplets. "How's your head feel?" I asked breaking the hug but not letting go of her hand. "It's better, the throbbing stopped." "That's good" I said. "Were you worried or something?" She said teasingly. I didn't have a response because she in fact did worry me.

I cupped my hands around her cheeks pulling her in gently Kissing her, she was clearly caught off guard but kissed back.

"Are you girls together?" Her mom asked excitedly. "Oh.. yea we are" Red said as if it were nothing. "I need to ring Ella and tell her this!" My stomach dropped as soon as she said that, Red noticed and caressed her thumb on my cheek.

I felt a vibration in my back pocket from my phone, I pulled it out and saw the call was from Uma. "Hello?" I said questionably.. "yes, is this Chloe charming?" "This is her." I forgot Red couldn't hear what was going on so she was looking at me with 100 questions. "I hope Red's doing well. I was calling to find out if you both will be well enough to return to school tomorrow? I understand today was very.. unexpected and eventful so I understand of you take today off." "Yea, we will be back tomorrow." "Okay perfect, I've excused you from your first hour tomorrow because I need you in my office at that time." "Will do." I said trying not to come off as rude or snappy. She hung up  and I sighed softly. "Who was that?" Red asked "just principal Uma.

She wants us to head back to the school soon since she needs me in her office tomorrow."

"What about me?" Red said confused. "Well you didn't do anything wrong.. I just kinda walked out on her after pointing a sharp sword at Kai." "Wait wait. I'm literally the one who got into a fight with Kai, how are you in trouble and I'm not??" I shrugged my shoulders hesitantly, I thought she was upset at me by the way her tone sounded.

"I'm sorry" I said softly, thinking she would scold me.

"What? For what? Don't be sorry princess, I'm not upset with you at all. But it's not fair how your in trouble and I'm not, so I'll be going with you tomorrow." "Well.. you don't have-" "but I want to." She cut me off sharply before I could protest against her suggestion.

"Should I drop you girls off now?" Before any of us could respond I got a second call, from my mom.. my heart dropped to my stomach. I haven't spoken to her in weeks, she doesn't like when I don't tell her things.. and I haven't told her a lot. The last time I spoke to her was when Red and I had one of the fights. I hesitantly picked up the phone and put it up to my ear, waiting for my mother to speak.

Mama🩵👑: Chloe charming! Uma just called me telling all the problems that's been going on between you, Red and Kai. Very important details you left out the last time we spoke! Some big fight between you and Red which caused glass shattering and an odd amount of blood. You being stabbed! Twice?! Not to mention being in the hospital, because of those stabbings.

I listened silently to her scolding.

C: I was going to-

Mama🩵👑: do not talk over me young lady. Chloe! You can't leave out such important details, something worse could've happened to you or Red and I wouldn't have know because you arnt telling me these things. Not to mention you and Red being a couple, I heard that from Bridget just now. Getting rumors of you sending a girl to the isle because of how you were feeling.

C: I'm sorry..

Red watched confused wondering who I was talking to and why it looked like I was going to sob. She kept mouthing sentences to me but i couldn't respond right now.

Mama🩵👑: Chloe I'm not really upset at the fact you've been getting into altercations with this boy because it sounds like your defending yourself. I'm upset at the fact your not telling me anything, or your dad.. or Chad! It's like ever since you got back to AP you've been keeping secrets from your family. It was perfectly fine last year though, so why's it any different now? Is it Red who's causing you to act out??

C: mom, no!

Mama🩵👑: although I do like that your hanging out with someone you like I don't know if she's a good influence on you Chloe.

C: mom she isn't causing me act out! if anything she's shown me a different way to see things.

Mama🩵👑: then what's going on Chloe! It's like your a stranger to this family.

C: I.. I don't know?. Maybe it's just all the stuff with Kai.. or homework?.

Mama🩵👑: mhm. Chloe,  we can't keep doing this. Okay? I need you to tell me these things, how do you think it feels when the principal is telling me my daughters been stabbed by some kid who has a major crush on her? Not good!

C: I'm sorry..

Mama🩵👑: I need to get to a meeting, but I'm going to schedule some time you need to come back home, we need to have this conversation face to face.

She hung up without saying goodbye, that's how I knew she was upset.

I wiped the tears from my cheek facing up at Red who's looked worried. "What happened? Are you okay?" She asked while  Caressing my hand with her thumb, her warm hands calmed my trembling ones. "Yea, my mom just wasn't to happy with the fact I'm keeping secrets from her.. she wants to talk to me face to face soon." I explained.  "Well none of it's your fault, I mean who wants to get on the phone to tell there mom that they have a psycho stalker who's love language is physical aggression?" I shrugged my shoulders at her response. "I mean I keep things from my mom all the time!" She said cheerfully, as if it didn't matter one bit. "sorry?" Her mother peeped her head out from a corner.

"I know know.. I just hate when my mom is upset with me.. I mean i should've told her everything that's been going on.. she is my mom." " I understand." Red said a as she kissed my forehead. "How's your head feel?" "Fine. It doesn't hurt anymore" I was relieved. "And ur cheek? It's still a bit swollen.. does it hurt?" I asked looking at the cheek that was still a bit red. "It stings a bit but it will be fine eventually." I shook my head since she was ignoring the fact she needed ice and pain medicine.

I went to the kitchen to grab her an ice pack, once I got back I held it on her face gently. Suddenly the girls came running down the stairs laughing and giggling.

"Ruby your room is so cute! Red your room is very opposite, but still very cool!" Leah said excitedly but Ruby's face dropped once Leah said they went into Reds room.

"Y'all went into my room?" Red questioned the girls but not in a rude way or snappy way. "Yess it looked so cool!" Red pinched the bridge of her nose. "Ruby. I'll give you to Chloe, and she'll send you away again." "NO!" Ruby ran back up the stairs dragging Leah very close behind.

Reds POV

I felt bad for Chloe, she's got a lot of shit going on but for some reason she's taking it all so well. I mean she just watched me basically die, she's in trouble with Uma and worst of all she's in trouble with her mom. It might not sound like a lot but when you live it, it really is. Someone needs to cut this girl some slack.  Maybe I'll plan our first date soon, just for her. I wasn't really sure what Kai had done since everything had been such a blur, but I'm pretty sure his dad got him a new necklace. That worried me a ton since it looked stronger than the last one, I don't think I want Chloe breaking it again since that's the only real reason he's being a bitch.

"Red?.. you okay?" I guess I was zoned out for a bit.

"Yea, I'm alright" I  replied to Chloe. "When should we head back?" She asked, she sounded worried since she knew she was in trouble with the school.  "We won't go tonight. We'll leave in the morning it's Friday tomorrow anyways so we'll have the weekend to unwind." I said removing the ice she had on my cheek, It was getting too cold.

"Wanna head up to my room?" She nodded her head excitedly. "Just as long as you don't leave me randomly, the last two times I've been in ur room something always seems to happen." She said only half joking. I guess I got up a little too quickly because I stumbled at the movement, my head hadn't processed the fact I was getting up or something. "Woah, you okay?" Chloe asked, holding my hand.  "Yea I'm fine." I said holding her hand as we went up the stairs and to my room.

Chloe plopped down on my bed, sinking into it and just enjoying my soft pillows and comforter. Suddenly we heard loud crashing noises and rustling around from outside, I had a pretty good view of wonderland it self, so I peeped out the curtains with Chloe right next to me, our faces practically touching. It was Maddox? I haven't seen him in so long! He looked worried though.. and where was he headed? "He looks scared" Chloe said as she watched the boy run. "Yea, he dose.."

Maddox's POV!!

I ran frantically through the allyways and narrow streets. I had been in town but I had a feeling Red was in wonderland for all the wrong reasons. I knew she was hurt in some way, normally the place is quite and calmer when she isn't here. It was the same way this time but my head was telling me to go to the castle. It was instinct, my gut. I always trust my gut.

I dropped everything I was doing checking the time, something I do on a regular. Red had told me about a kid that had been messing with her a Chloe, she said his name was Kai but she gave me no background story of him. Just his name. I wanted to assume that it was the voodoo kid but a lot of kids have the name of Kai. So I didn't assume anything. I also just remembered Red is very absent minded, she leaves very important details out. Like when she forgot to tell Chloe Ruby was her sister. How do I know that you wonder?

I have a hat that shows me the future, past or present, that's the only reason I'm somewhat up to date on Reds life in Auradon. I haven't checked ever since Red and Chloe got into that one fight about the video being posted.

I got to my second little lair that wasn't in the castle but near the village. I looked at the hat from what happened early this morning, I fast forward to the bit where all three of them were in the office, I started to zoom in on the necklace."oh my.." I said in disbelief.

I knew exactly what Kai had done, luckily Bridget and her odd card was able to help before it got worse. I rushed out the door and sprinted to the castle, causing a loud ruckus and some crashing since I ran into a few things. I had to tell Red  who this kid really was! She sees him as a desperate boy but he's a threat to society.

I made my way to the castle hurriedly but I was suddenly stopped right outside the gates by the guards. "I'm Red's royal tutor, she's desperately In need of tutoring." They rolled their eyes letting me through. They know me well so I'm unsure why they stopped me this time. I opened the door to see Bridget on the phone looking happy! "Hello Maddox! Here for Red?" I nodded my head "she's up in her room, with Chloe.. maybe knock." I was a little grossed out but it's fine..

I ran upstairs and knocked frantically on her door. She opened with confused eyes staring me up and down as I caught my breath.

"Maddox? what's wrong? Why were you running around?"

She lead me into her room to where I saw Chloe sitting on the bed, she also looked worried and confused. "Oh, Chloe this is Maddox, Maddox this is Chloe.. my gf!" Red introduced us to each other. "Aw, that's awfully cute Red!" I said waving to Chloe. "Hi!" She smiled, she was so cute! Not in that way of course! "Anyways is something wrong Mad's?" Red asked me gesturing for me to sit down in one of her fluffy egg chair. I politely declined her offer. "This is very important.. Red, you know I have that one hat That helps me see through the past present and future." "Yea, what about it.?" "Well I've been watching.. and not in a weird way of course. The Newer necklace Kai has is dangerous.. it's more powerful than any necklace in New Orleans, the fact his dad trusted him with that is beyond me."  I said looking back and forth from Chloe and Red since it was a message to them both. "Well, what are you saying?" Chloe said getting up off the bed walking over to Red.

I flipped through my notes looking for something I'd written down before I left. "What I'm saying is you shouldn't take this as a joke! This necklace can unlock the spirits on the other side, which are dangerous spirits that can interact with the living world." I showed them a drawing of these spirits. "This necklace unlocks the strongest ones, and once unleashed.. who knows what could happen.." "really Mad's? You had me worried!" Red said not believing a word I just said. "I'm serious Red! These things are fire starters, life ruiners.. all I'm saying is be safe.. keep Ruby and her friend safe. Especially you Chloe. I know he likes you. He is known to be very determined, and if he likes something he'll do whatever he can to get it." I explained. Chloe looked at Red worriedly. "We got it, Thank you Mad's." "Remember Red, I'll be watching. If anything bad happens I have all the supplies ready to help!" I said walking out the door checking the time on my pocket watch.

Reds POV:

"Red.." Chloe said worriedly. I was a little frightened as well, but I didn't want Chloe to know that or we'd be freaking out together. "It's alright, I'll be sure nothing terrible happens. For right now we should worry about the school and your mom." I said as Chloe's face dropped. I knew she was scared of what would happen. "Has your mom scheduled anything yet?" "Yes.. she's sending a carriage after school tomorrow."  She said hesitantly. "At least we'll get it all done in one day." She nodded her head slowly pacing around the room, stressing about if her mom would yell at her or if the school would expel her. She didn't know which one was worse.

"Chloe.. don't spiral yourself out princess." I watched as she paced back and forth, fidgeting with her fingers and rings." I know, I know.. I'm sorry.. but there's just nothing else I can do.. I mean.. what if I can't ever come back to AP.. and I'll never get to see you again.. or what if my mom takes me out of AP completely.. and I still don't get to see you.." she said stuttering, slipping up under here words. She spoke fast and rapidly, as if she didn't say it now she never would. "I really like going to AP Red.. I don't want to lose that.." I think there was another reason but I won't dive to deep into it. I grabbed Chloe's hand forcing her to stop in place, she looked down at me, her eyes filled with stress and anxiety.

"Chloe you're never going to not be able to see me. Okay? If your mom decided to take you out of AP you wouldn't have to worry about not being able to see me since I always find a way, don't I?" She nodded her head slowly smiling at my words. "Good, now stop spiraling yourself out, I have a drawer in my closet, I painted it blue and it has some of your clothes in there and a few other clothes I picked out that I knew you would like." I said pointing to my closet. She smiled excitedly, hugging me tightly and kissing me on the cheek. My face turned pink as she ran into the walk in closet shutting the door behind her. I got up to get my fluffy Red and black plaid pjs, they had little hearts on them and those one tiny ribbon bows in the waist.

I put on a black sports bra and a plain back jacket. Once I finished Chloe came out wearing the same pants I was wearing but instead it was a light baby blue with white plaid prints, and little swords as a design, She was wearing a white sports bra as well. "We look so cute!!" She said rushing over to me looking at our matching pjs. "Yes we do" I laughed. I'm glad she got her mind off all of the stressful stuff, now we can just relax for the rest of the night. "Wanna make cookies? I have little cookie cutters but I'll not sure what shape.." "yes!! That sounds so much fun!"  Suddenly Ruby and Leah bursted in, I'm shocked Leah is still here.. I guess it's a huge-"Sleepover!!" Ruby and Leah yelled, Ruby threw a pillow at me so I chased her down the stairs. I picked Ruby up tossing her on the couch, she laughed which made me smile since we haven't hung out like this in a while.

Leah and Chloe came down talking about something I didn't really care about. "Ruby turn something on the Tv, and don't put on anything stupid." I said as she rolled her eyes. Everything she watched is stupid so I don't plan on watching tv with her. "Me and Chloe are going to make cookies so don't come in here or I'll probably put you in the oven." "Red!" Chloe hit my arm. "It was a joke!! Maybe.." I said dodging her second attempt to hit me.

I grabbed all the dry ingredients from the pantry while Chloe grabbed the wet ingredients. Soon we were off to making cookies, Ruby put on a show called the babysitters club which I didn't hate.. but Kristy was a bitch in the first many episodes. I started to make our dough and Chloe put flour on my cheek, so I put flour on her nose.

While mixing the dough I felt Chloe's arms wrap around my waist pulling me closer to her as our bodies were closed together, fitting perfectly like a puzzle piece. I smiled softly as she kissed my neck which made me blush some. Eventually we finished our cookies and we plated them, sitting with the girls on the couch I pulled out the end that turned into a bed so we all had leg room. I also popped some popcorn while Chloe set up the couch with spare blankets and pillows we had. We all gathered on the couch, chloe sat with her legs crossed and I laid out in front of her, my head rested in her lap. Leah and Ruby sat next to each other giggling at the show we were watching.

Chloe played with my strands of hair, at some point she gave me a whole head massage with the way she was brushing her fingers through my hair.

I looked up at her and she looked back at me and smiled. She has the cutest the smile in the world, I love this girl so much I don't even know what to do with myself. She leaned over kissing me softly, which made me blush. "Get a room you two gosh.." Ruby said with attitude. "Your the one who just wanted us to kiss so bad" I used her words against her so she stayed silent. After a few hours of a ton of gossip, games, and deep talk sessions, Chloe and I decided we were ready for bed. "Chloe and I are going to head upstairs for bed.. it's pretty late so you girls should do the same." They nodded not responding since they were to locked into the movie.

Chloe and I went upstairs hand in hand, walking into my room I laid on my bed, Chloe laid on me. Her head rested just on my color bone while her arm was wrapped around me. "Hey Red.." she said softly. "Yes princess?" I trailed my finger down her spine, I could feel her tremble at the gentle touch. "What if I do get kicked out of AP.. how will I get to see you then?" She's worrying again, I could tell. "I'll always find a way, but I know you're not getting kicked out of AP." I said calmly, it was true. I could barley go a class period without her, so not being able to see her at all wasn't an option. I knew she was getting tired by the sound of her voice. "I really like you Red." She said in a low voice, almost mumbling it. "I really like you Chloe" I said smiling.

We sat in comfortable silence as she drifted to sleep, once she was fully asleep somehow her hand migrated to my waist she hugged me tight as i started to blush uncontrollably. I turned over to my side slowly trying not to wake the sleeping girl, I faced Chloe and placed my hand on her waist, letting myself drift to sleep as well.
