KAI STOP PLEASE!

Red fell to her knees grunting and gasping in pain as bløød dripped from her mouth and the side of her forehead, the voodoo spirits flooded into the green lit halls, watching the terror, they were giggling and laughing.. I tried to help her.. I did.. the spirits kept me still, forcing me to watch..

KAI PLEASE.. DON'T HURT HER

I begged and pleaded.. it was useless.. Kai picked Red up dragging her by her wrist and pinning her up against a locker Kai's back faced me.

She faintly struggled as her hands gripped on Kai's wrist, the one that held her tightly by the throat.

"Even.. even after this.. you'll still be a pathetic prick.. preying on a girl..that'll never want you.."

Red said taking breaths in between every other word, almost choking on the gasps since Kai's grip was deathly.

I sobbed endlessly grunting and, trying to escape, help.. help her.. help her. Do something, anything. Kai pulled out the sharpest dagger he had from is pocket. Turning his head slightly as he grinned. He looked as though he'd been waiting for this moment since he met me, his eyes pierced into me.. "This is what happens when your bitch gets on my last nerve, princess." Kai said, it echoed through the halls. Through my head..

KAI NO!

It was in the blink of an eye.. the blade was punctured in her chest, piercing her straight through. She let out her last wince. After kai ripped the dagger from her He dropped her to the floor as she laid there limp, she was gone.. just like that..

RED!

I shot up from the bed, panting harshly as tears streamed down my face.

what the fuck kind of nightmare was that.. where's Red?.

I looked around the room still trying to come back to reality.

"Hey, chloe, I'm here okay? I'm right here.. you see me?"  She popped up out of nowhere, it startled me.

Red was face to face with me, It was so hard to breathe... my arms locked around the girl, my tears drenched her shoulder. Her arms wrapped around me tightly not letting go until I was ready. "I'm right here chloe.." she said gently in my ear as I squeezed my eyes shut still remembering the dream perfectly.

We broke the hug and I had a worried but relieved expression on my face as I held my chest once Red let go but didn't take her eyes off mine, my breathing trying to steady it self at a rapid pace.. It was just a dream.. I thought to myself. "Was it a nightmare?" Red asked.

I nodded my head gently, trying to forget all about it. "Wanna tell me what it was about?" I shook my head.. I couldn't re-live that. "I... you were.. fuck.. I'm sorry" I couldn't get the words out.. "it was just a stupid dream.. I'm sorry I'm acting like this.."I said through my tears and breaths. "Don't apologize. I used to get them all that time alright? It was only a dream you see? I'm right here. I'm with you Chloe okay, I'm not going anywhere." She held me close as I wiped my tears. I checked the time it was 1 am. "I'm Sorry for waking you.." I said as my breath finally went back to a steady rhythm "Don't apologize sweet girl, it's not your fault." She laid down as I laid on top of her, my head rested on her chest and my arms wrapped around her waist Just to be safe.

I couldn't let that happen in real life, I'd never forgive myself. I felt so useless.. "you'll be okay Chloe, I'm right here. I'm Not going anywhere" Red said low as one of her hands rubbed my back up and down and her other hand rested on the back of my head.

I felt better, now that I knew she was there. Her back rubs got slower as she started to drift to sleep. As much as I wanted to sleep I was to afraid something might happen again. So I stayed up. I traced the faintly healed scars on Reds hip with my finger. Every faint lines and heart. I kept remembering that stupid dream. It all felt so real. A tear rolled down my check.

Why have I been crying so much?

I listened to Red's heartbeat, it was calm and steady just like her breathing. I looked up at the sleeping girl.

I admired her lips and her eyes, she looked at peace. I wished that we me. Her chest moved up and down with every breath. "You okay princess?" She asked, it shocked me.. I didn't realize she was still up. "Sorry, it's hard to sleep." I said laying back down on her chest. "You don't need to apologize, I haven't fallen asleep yet. I'm here with you."

Everytime she tells me she's here it makes me feel better. I feel comfortable when those words come out of her mouth. "Don't let me keep you up" I said, I wanted to be considerate. "It's hard for me to fall back asleep anyways, it's not your fault." She said smiling at me as she continued to Rub my back gently. Her warm and soft palm sent chills down my spine. I felt myself start to drift to sleep slowly. Eventually I was back asleep, hoping it would be better than the last time.

Reds POV

The morning Sun emitted from the sky as it seeped through the curtains, brighting up the room beautifully. I woke up at 8 AM to Chloe still on top of me, her bare skin pressed against mine since we were both wearing short tang tops. Last night I felt her tracing the faint healing scars on my hip, although my eyes were closed I wasn't sleep.

I was so worried for her when she woke up after that nightmare, her breath was so harsh and tears streamed down her face. I don't know what the dream was about but I knew it was bad, this stress is driving Chloe crazy. She just needs a break from it all.

I felt her shift upwards closer to my neck. "You awake princess?" I said quietly. She shook her head softly which made me smile. "How'd you sleep?" I asked the "sleeping" girl.

"Better. No more nightmares." She said as she planted A kiss on my neck, it made me feel tingly And warm. "Sorry for waking you up last night." She said as her eyes were still closed and her voice was still low.

"You don't need to keep apologizing princess" I said rubbing her back softly. "Do you normally have nightmares?" I asked the girl who was only partially awake. "Only when stress is high." She replied. "Wanna go swim at the enchanted lake? Maybe it'll be a stress reliever, yea?" She shot up immediately after I said that, one of her legs on each of my sides. "Can we?!" She asked excitedly as I felt heat rise in me at the sudden position change. "Of.. course, we can swim and eat snacks" I added. She loved the idea because she leaned down to kiss me, getting up shortly after. "I'll get ready" she said rushing into the bathroom.

I smiled seeing her so happy to head down to the lake, I'll take her to where Mal and Ben went for their date.

I decided I would pop in at Ruby's for a moment just so I could talk to her, I needed her help setting up.

I got up out of bed and left the dorm, shutting it behind me and heading into Ruby's. I'm shocked she didn't lock the door.

As I walked in the two girls were cuddling on the bed peacefully. They are definitely going to date. "Rise and shine love birds" they woke up slowly rubbing the sleep out their eyes. "Red.. get out why are you in here so early?" Ruby asked in a sleepy tone as she started to wake. "I wanted to ask if u two could help me set up a picnic date for Chloe at the enchanted-" "uhm of course!" Ruby cut me off as her and Leah started to separate. "Really? Okay so here's everything I'll need."

Chloe's POV

As I walked out the bathroom wearing a cute limpid  beach like outfit with a two piece swim suit under, I looked around to see Red was gone.

Had this all been fake? Was my dream real and I was just unconscious? It can't be.. she was just here.. she was just with me a second ago? Did I really lose her just like that?

Suddenly the door creaked open and in came Red, looking happy and excited. I let out a sigh of relief after seeing her pretty face. "Hi Chloe! did I worry you? Sorry I didn't say anything, I was talking to Ruby and Leah" she said giving me a comfortable hug. "No, you didn't worry me" I lied as we broke the hug. "You look so cute in this!" she complimented which made me smile. "I'll get ready and we can leave at 12 since it'll start to get a little warmer." She said grabbing some clothes and stepping into the bathroom.

I hope this date can be a stress reliever for me, I'm tearing myself apart with all the anxiety, stress and thinking I've been doing. I wish I could just stop it with the snap of a finger but that's not actually possible. Being stuck in my head isn't the best but I'm glad I have Red to snap me out of whatever trans I'd be in.

I sat at my desk and started working on homework I had, I was also studying for a test in a week. I realized I hadn't studied in a while so I guess I should start getting back into that habit. After a few minutes I got my work done and Red came out, her scent of cashmere and coconut washed over me.

She wore baggy Jeans and a bathing suit top with a red and black plaid cardigan. "Hi Red" I said not taking my eyes away from my work as I reviewed over it. "Hi princess" she said putting her head close to mine to look in my vanity mirror, she fluffed up her hair and checked her makeup, it made me nervous how close she was, I felt my cheeks grow pink."You're so pretty, Red!" I said kissing her cheek, she smiled before replying, "stop" she said chuckling and trailing her finger down the side of my neck playfully before walking away to the couch, I blushed uncontrollably.

I wonder why she won't ever take my compliments.

I saw Red texting someone on the couch as I started to close up my study book for the day. "You ready?" She asked me getting up from her spot. "Yep!" I said popping up out my seat and walking over to Red, taking her hand in mine I kissed her on the neck and watched as her face grew pink.

Red POV

Chloe and I walked down to the Enchanted lake, we passed by beautiful trees and flowers, a little pond with lily pads and lotus flowers. I looked more fascinated than Chloe did but it was all just so pretty.

In the distance I saw the red and blue themed picnic and I could tell the girls did well. Chloe started to gain excitement as she noticed the trail of rose petals leading to the gazebo.

We arrived shortly and saw that there was a laid out pastel blue blanket and it was covered with Red roses around the brims and corners, there was a cute red teddy bear with a blue bow tie and a blue teddy bear with a red bow tie and the blanket had so many cute pillows. There were strawberries, chocolate, biscuits and macarons. "it's so cute!!" Chloe was geeking out, she rushed to sit down patting the spot beside her holding the Red Bear in her lap.

I smiled as I sat next to her holding the blue bear in mine. "You can thank the girls, they set it up for me since I didn't want to leave you for so long" I said pointing to the two girls playing Marco Polo in the lake. "I love it so much!!" She said picking up a strawberry and taking a bite. She melted at the taste of the fruit grunting in satisfaction.

I stood up so I could get ready to swim, since I wasn't all that hungry. "You wanna eat Red?"

I shook my head smiling at her as she looked disappointed. "Please Red, you haven't been eating much." She pleaded for me, I really didn't want to eat so I shook my head once me.

"For me? Please Princess?" Her tone changed dramatically, I felt the tips of my ears heat up and my cheeks turn pink.

I sat down immediately and at a strawberry. "Thank you!" She said handing me a pink macaroon to eat. I rolled my eyes and ate the macaroon.

"I only said yes because-" "because what?" She whispered low and kinda seductively in my ear as she wrapped her hand on my waist and moved her pointer finger in circles under my cardigan so I could feel her soft warm hands on my skin. My eyes widened in how bold she was being, "uhm never mind.. ready to swim?" I said stuttering a little which made her laugh. "I am!"

I got up, leaving my jeans on the side along with my cardigan so I was just wearing my dark red two piece.  I felt Chloe's gaze and looked over to the blue haired princess admiring everything about me.. I'm unsure why though. I just smiled at her as she blushed in embarrassment.

I stepped into the lake and laid flat on my back, closing my eyes and letting myself drift off into the lake peacefully. That was until I felt a gentle hand grabbing my ankle pulling me back towards her waist so we were at eye level while I was laying flat.

"Hi princess" Chloe said cheerfully, I admired the swimsuit she was in. The bright baby blue was perfect for her hair, her toned skin was glistening from the way the water shined off her. "Hii" I replied softly, smiling at her pretty face she leaned down to give me a gentle kiss, the girls watched from the side giggling and laughing. I splashed water in their faces as they looked at me with disappointment, I died laughing. "Red." Chloe said bluntly. "It's funny!" I said still laughing. Chloe and I watched as Leah went under water then came back up, lifting Ruby on her shoulders which caught her off guard.

I did the same with Chloe and the girls who sat on our shoulders sword fought with pool noodles while Leah and I were trying to shove each other in the water, one trying to knock the other down.

Of course Chloe and I won, knocking Ruby into the water taking Leah with her. "Losers!" I said as I held Chloe up right by her thighs, her hands wrapped on both sides of my face, gently holding my jaw. I threw her off since I started to blush from her hand placement, she splashed in the water fully submerged. I Can't lie it was pretty funny. "RED!" She yelled coming back up, her hair rested on her shoulders perfectly.

I tried not to laugh as this was a very serious moment for her.. I couldn't help myself! What did she want me to do? Suddenly she shoved me down into the water by my head and we broke out into a friendly fight in the lake, the girls cheered each of us on. I picked Chloe up throwing her over my shoulder, patting her waist letting her know she definitely lost. "Red! Put me down!" She said from behind me.

I did as she asked and dropped her into the water.

A few minutes later Chloe and I were off swimming, we looked around for Leah and Ruby but they were no where to be seen. Had they run off? "Where do you think they went?" I asked Chloe who was behind me and her arms wrapped around my waist under the water.

"I'm not sure.." she said as she looked around. "Oh! There they are, in the far back of the lake" she pointed in a specific spot.

Ruby had her arms over leave shoulders and their foreheads touched each other, Leah had her arms wrapped around Ruby waist. "That's gonna be a thing." I said chuckling a bit. "Oh yea for sure." Chloe agreed.

I knew it had gotten late since the sun started to set. Golden hour emitted from the trees above us, Chloe's eyes sparkled beautifully.

Her brown eyes fully showed during this time of day, I was trapped in her beautiful gaze. The water shimmered as the waves were at peace. "It's getting late, wanna start heading back?" Chloe said. "Sure" I replied as I grabbed her hand, swimming us over to the little steps and letting Chloe get out first. "Love birds let's go! It's getting late"

They quickly moved from their recent position, I knew they were about to kiss by the way they were blushing. Reminds me of chloe and I when we "hated each other."

I turned my attention back to Chloe who looked stunning.. she was trying to dry off her drenched hair as water droplets dripped down her leg, my eyes traced her perfect curves. "You getting out or are you just gonna stare Wonderland?" She teased grinning at me. "Maybe both." I said getting out the lake as the girls followed behind. I wrapped Chloe in a towel and grabbed our clothes we left to the side. I took her hand in mine and we all walked back to the school, again admiring the beautiful trail it lead us to.

Chloe's POV

As we made our war through the silent semi dark halls I felt worried that if I were to go to sleep I would have another dream. I wanted to avoid that because I felt bad for waking Red up last night, and it was just a horrible dream.

"Princess, if u want to  lay with me tonight you can, I don't mind" Red said as she noticed I started to think about the  dream. I nodded my head but I really didn't want to be a disturbance, I know it takes Red a while to get to sleep so waking her up in the middle of the night for a stupid dream wasn't ideal.

"My stress isn't to high today, thanks to the date" I smiled. Although Red got my mind off my stress for a good while, I'd still remember the terror and blood. The spirits flooding the halls as there laughs flooded my head.

You can't get rid of stress, you can distract yourself from it but you can never get rid of it. I haven't accepted that yet even though I know it's true. I've been trying to run from my stress for the  last 16 years which I think has only been making it worse.

Red and I waved by to the girls as we entered our separate dorms. "Ruby doesn't even have a roommate, Leah is just in there half the time." Red said setting down our clothes and cutting on the shower water for me. "What do you think they do?" I said as we waited for the water to warm. "Make out. For sure." Red said confidently as she grabbed my favorite pjs and her matching ones. I left Red so I could shower real quick.

Again I was left with silence, just the sounds of the warm water tapping onto my skin. I tried not to think about the dream or the fact that Kai was coming back on Monday, I tried not to think about Red being hurt or her leaving me for good because I couldn't help her.

As you can tell I'm obviously not doing a great job. I finished up in the bathroom and Red went in after me. As I looked on each of our beds I saw the two cute bears from the date earlier.

I had the Red Bear and Red had the blue one. I sat in my own bet settling in, holding the Red plush close to me. It was dark out and the only source of light were the two lamps by my bed and Red's bed, of course the main room light as well. We didn't use that one since it was late and lights are supposed to be out by this time.

I started to think about the first thing Kai would do when he arrived back to AP, would he hunt Red and I down? Seeking for trouble? Would he really come back that desperate?

Red came out the bathroom in her pjs, she looked tired so I definitely didn't want to bother her tonight. "I'll be right here if you need princess, don't hesitate please." She said before kissing me goodnight , laying down in her bed afterwards. She cut off her lamp and I did as well, she laid on her phone for a while but I just laid still, almost limp.

Keeping the red Bear close by. I felt myself start to doze off but I kept myself from falling asleep completely as I was still afraid of the nightmares that would recurre. I realized the more I started to stress the more I started to think about all the possibilities that could happen on Monday.

What if my dream wasn't just a dream? What if it could happen in real life?. Or what if Kai comes back and immediately gets into it with Red? How would I be able to stop him time?

You don't want to be useless Chloe.

I told myself, the thought much louder than it usually is. I didn't want to stress anymore so I laid there until I fell asleep, to which I did within minutes. I guess I was tired.

Kai walked over to me with his blood covered Dagger, leaving Red behind him.

"What's wrong princess..? Couldn't keep your girl safe in time?"

He asked as he rubbed the dull side of the dagger across my cheek, leaving a trail of Reds blood.

I Couldn't speak, I didn't even look him in the eyes. My eyes were fixated on Red as I sobbed endlessly.

The voodoo spirits released me and I rushed over to Red who'd been already gone.

I held her as my tears fell rapidly. "Thats unfortunate."  I felt Red slip away from me, I tried to hold on but Kai pulled me back. Grabbing me the wrists he pulled me up closer to him, our bodies touched and our faces were inches apart.

"Now that she's gone, she can quit getting in the way of.. us."  "I'd never.. get with a psycho like YOU." I said through my sobs. "You don't have a choice anymore." He said keeping the dagger up to my throat, I started to-

Suddenly jolted awake, I don't know what woke me up since Red was sleeping peacefully.

I felt a stream of tears run down my face, I tried to keep quite not trying to wake my red haired princess but I was still trying to catch my breath. I think I just need to go for a walk, so that's what I'll do. I grabbed one of Reds jackets and slipped on some shoes.

I left the dorm being sure to shut the door quietly behind me, It was 12 AM so I had to sneak quietly out of the school, I didn't know where I was going but I was going somewhere.

I went down the steps the lead out the dorm and ran into Neve while heading towards the front doors. "Oh! Hey, princess!" She said cheerfully as if she didn't try and ruin my relationship with Red. "Don't call me princess." I said trying to walk past her but she randomly popped up back in front of me, causing me to take a step back and look her up and  down in disgust. "Why so blue.. get it? Blue!" She joked but I didn't find her funny, I just brushed past her as if she were never there. "Tough crowd. where ya heading pretty lady?" She said slowly floating on a cloud of mist and snowflake, she lay flat with her hands behind her head.

"I don't know. Again with the weird nicknames." I didn't make eye contact with her. "Did you and Red get into another fight? You look upset!" She flipped over on her stomach, kicking her feet in the air as if she was about to her a cool little story.

"No. Red is sleep, I'm just-"

"just what? Having nightmares?"

She said with a smile as she floated upside down and face to face with me. I forgot she was weirdly everywhere, I just wanted to be alone and this frosty girl was pestering my soul. "Can't you just mind your business for once? My life has nothing-" "woah woah, calm down princess. No need to get all cranky. I just wanna be your friend.. pleaseeee" she put on a pouty face as if it would convince me to say yes.
