Hell week

Red's POV

As me and Chloe were sitting together in my room I heard my mother yell for me to come downstairs. "Red! Let's go, today's Monday and we had a deal." I sighed getting up as Chloe sat up quickly grabbing my palm "deal? What deal?" "Just stay in here Chloe, I just need to help my mother with.. beheadings. It's just because she basically saved your life, I owe her." I said letting go of her palm quickly rushing out. I know this is going to ruin me but, I'd probably do it for two weeks if I had to save Chloe. I had to do it, her life was on the line. And if I chose to rule with my mother I'd have to be pulled out of school to start training, which means I'd never see Chloe again.

Chloe's POV

I'm sitting in Reds room looking around at her valuables. I looked on her desk and the wall In front of it, having manny pictures of our friends back at Auradon. I noticed the framed picture that I took for us on the first day we decided to not hate each other, it made me smile. I looked on the shelf above her desk I saw a cute white rabbit jellycat sitting on the edge, it was sitting next to multiple rose and card sculptures. I wonder if she made them herself. As I was about to walk to the other side of the room I heard a gut wrenching scream come from the plaza. I ran to the window swinging open the curtains looking through. It was red, she was on her knees as her head dangled low, her bright red hair covering her face. I quickly opened up the door running downstairs to the plaza but before I could reach red two Guards grabbed me keeping me in place. The queen glanced over at me then back at red. Red faced over to look at me, a panic overfilling her face. "How could you?! You're a monster. She's your daughter!" I screamed as I tried to break free  from the guards. " my daughter owes me, she did it to save your life. Isn't that right, darling?" She said turning away from me to look at the girl on the floor. She nodded her head hesitantly. "Red, you know it's rude when you don't speak up." She snapped her fingers and the guard pressed the iron on the back of her thigh. I watched I red grunted in pain. " now try again." Her mother said glancing at me with a smirk. "It's.. it's true." She said her head still dangling and her hair swaying gently in the wind. "We're done for the day. Red head to your room and get cleaned up as we have a beheading in a few hours. Your blue friend can come if she likes" her mother said as she walked into the castle to her prep herself. The guards once holding me disappearing in a flash to follow behind the queen. I ran over to red as she got up wobbling and tripping. "I told you to stay in my room. Why did you not?" She said shoving me off violently to catch her balance. "That's beside the point, why did you lie to me,Red?" I answered her gazing at her brown eyes. " well I didn't want you to come downstairs but I guess you don't know how to listen. Now move, I need to get ready." She said as she tried  to walk past me but i stopped her. "There's no way you can go I mean look at you?" I said glaring at the fresh wound on her leg "i literally don't have any other choice Chloe. And your lucky, if anyone else talked to my mother like that they'd be in a guillotine right about now." I didn't feel like bickering with this girl so I swooped her up and walked into the front door. She didn't kick or scream she just relaxed her whole body in my arms, she looked dead so we got a few weird looks from the guards and her mother. "Is she unconscious?" Her mother said putting her glass of grape juice down on the counter of the kitchen

"I'm not sure. I checked her pulse and it was faint. Maybe ur brandings are finally taking a tole on her skinny little body." I said obviously lying. I stopped in my path to look the queen in her eyes, she looked worried almost, like she had guilt. "Well, if she wakes up let her know she doesn't owe me anymore. And let me know when she wakes up." She said still trying to sound tough but I knew deep down she thought she killed her daughter. Red played along perfectly. She let her head dangle over my arms as her hair moved to my steps. Her arm wresting on her stomach. I would believe it to. We went up the stairs and into reds room shutting the door behind me. I set red down gently on her feet in front of me as she laughed and gave me a hug. I was very shocked because she hates hugs. I hugged her back gently and planted a kiss on her cheek. "Nice acting princess." I said to her while pulling away from the hug "I could say the same for you" she replied throwing her self on the bed.

Red's POV

I don't even know how Chloe did that, I was shocked when she said she checked my pulse and it was faint since I felt fine. But then I realized what she was doing and decided to stay limp and "unconscious" really the only reason I was laying like that in the first place was because when Chloe carries me it's so comfortable, her soft palms under my knees and her other hand having a firm grip around my waist. I just melt. "Chloe you just got me out of a week of brandings, and probably all brandings for the rest of my life." I said as a bandaged up my thigh on my bed. "What can I say, I'm a miracle worker!" She said walking around my room checking out the valuables and old stuffed animals. I heard foot steps slowly coming up the stairs and I knew it was my mother . "Chloe sit in this chair and act sad quickly come now!" I said whispering across the room. She quickly came over sitting in the chair holding my hand to her chest as I basically played dead. It ment no harm, but I did want to get payback on my mother. So she might as well worry. I'll just act dead and Chloe can take it from here. The doorknob jiggled and the door opened. "Is she awake, the beheading is in a few minutes."

Chloe's POV

Im so glad I took theater in 8th grade. I looked up from "unconscious" red and straight into her mothers eyes, a single tear running down my face. "I don't know if she'll be able to watch another beheading again.." I said forcing my voice to shake and crack, squeezing reds hand. The queen walked in the room slowly gazing at her very much so limp daughter. She stroked her fingers through hair letting out a sigh. I think she was trying to hold back tears or something because that slow sigh was very sad. Her lip trembling and I noticed a lot of emotions flushed her face. "I'll give you a moment." I said placing reds hand down to dangle. I walked out and shut the door behind me but I was just listening to the conversation.

Bridget's POV?

"I realized that I had been way to hard on you  for your whole life. Im the reason you don't believe in yourself, the reason you feel suffer everyday, the reason you believe you can't love anyone, not even your self. I'm the reason you have trust issues, many of the issues you have today I'm the cause. I see that now, now that your here probably.. only having a few minutes left with me." I hesitated to say that last bit. "I wish I noticed you sooner Red. But now my wishes may just become haunting dreams. If you ever wake up ill be a better mother to you my dear. I promise. There's so much I have to say to you but I can't seem to put it all in a sentence. I guess all I can say is I do love you Red, I always have. Even if I didn't show it, at all." I got up kissing her forehead slowly rubbing my thumb across her cheek. A tear dropping down onto one of the burns I made on her arm. I exited the room wiping the faint tears from my face.

Red's POV

Once my mother left the room I flipped from off my side to lay on my back. I put my hands over my face and started to sob. She said she loved me, she really did. Chloe walked in closing the door behind her and walking over to sit on my bed. "She said she loved me Chloe.. she really did." I said as I sobbed in her lap and she brushed her fingers through my hair. "I heard, should we tell her your not dead?" I nodded my head laughing a little. This was so unexpected, I would never think this is how I could get my mom to stop acting like.. my mom. I'm great full for Chloe. This means I could quite literally have a new life. I propped up my pillows and sitting up wiping the tears away and putting an act on for Chloe. She quickly ran out to my mother who was in the kitchen. "She's awake she's awake!!" I heard her frantically say. Two seconds later my mother came rushing into my room but stopping at the door way looking at me. Her face filled with joy and relief, tears rushed down her face as she walked over to me hugging me tightly. I'd never been hugged by my mother before. I tried to keep the feelings down the best I could only allowing a single tear to fall. "What's this? Did I do something?" I said confused "no, of course not. I'm just.. glad your alright dear." She said releasing me to stare into my eyes. "What, did you finally grow a heart?" I said joking with her. And she actually laughed, that's a first. This whole thing felt so real it's crazy. Chloe just stood in the door way as she turned her head away so I couldn't see the fact she was balling her eyes out right now. "I'm going to do better for you Red, I promise." She said as she kissed my forehead and walked out the room laughing at Chloe a bit.

Chloe's POV

This all felt way to real. I mean, red and her mom just mended their relationship right in front of me. It was so wholesome and beautiful all I could do was cry. I walked over to red laughing and crying at the same time as I laid on her bed and rested my head on her lap. "Uhh we definitely still have school tomorrow.." she said looking down at me. "Who knows maybe your new mom might drive us." I said smiling at her "well let's go see." She got up out and bed and walked downstairs and into the kitchen where her mom was...baking? That's interesting. "Hey mom... me and Chloe have to be at our dorms soon..is it okay if you drive us.?" Red said nervously waiting for a response. "Yes I will dear, head out to the car and I'll be out in about 5 minutes." She said facing red with a smile planted on her face. It was crazy how her mother was so different now, I wonder if she will still do beheadings.. hey look at me wondering in wonderland. Red grabbed my hand pulling me out to the car and opening the door for me as I stepped in. "Thank you princess" I said in royalty voice as she rolled her eyes and shut the door walking over to the other side and getting in. Scooting over closer to me so our hands are touching. "Chloe I think you saved me. I don't know how to repay you."  "You could repay me by being my bestest friend." I said smiling at her "oh yea of course we are like the bestest of friends, we are inseparable." She said laughing at her own joke. Her laugh was beautiful, she was beautiful. Even after crying and her mascara a bit runny she was still so gorgeous. I noticed that our faces were inches away from each other. I couldn't resist it anymore, I kissed her gently, her soft cherry lips overflowing me. I pulled away almost regretting it instantly "shit im sorry" I said a little panicked, before I could get anything else out she kissed me as her hand gently wrapped the back of my neck  and the other one on my waist causing me to blush majorly. I kissed her back putting my hand on her cheek gently. She pulled away eventually smiling "still not into girls charming?" She said looking at my very pink face. I faced away from her looking out the window and saw her mom walking towards us with a big smile on her face. It's scaring me how fast this girl can change. She got into the car and gave us both pink flamingo feathered cupcakes "here you go girls, this was my favorite recipe to make when I was 16." "Waittt mom, you used to bake?" Red said as she took the cupcakes and gave one to me "of course! I used to bake and I would give them to all my little class mates. I'll tell you all about it whenever I see you again dear." She said started the car. Me and red both looked at each other and took a bite of the cupcakes, "'my nails are pink!" Red said laughing a little "I think my sword turned pink as well" I said as i examined my sword. "This really is wonderful mom" "thank you darling." We pulled out of the garage and went through the woods and into the rabbit whole. I hate this rabbit whole and its illusions. We soon arrived at Auradon and red waved her mom goodbye while walking with me to our dorm.
