Where Is She?
Tainted Love
Damon
âBlondie, get the fuck up.â
I kick his bed and watch him come to.
His eyes look around the room in confusion until they land on me. Growing ten sizes, his eyes donât blink. His cover going to his chin to cover his chest from me.
âReally? As if Iâm going to stare at your tits. Where is she?â
I shake my head and stand over him.
I woke up with no Savannah in my arms. Her shit is here and sheâs not. No bike, no keys, no jacket.
She snuck out to find trouble with Darrion.
She is probably setting his bed on fire or some kind of wild punishment for our fight yesterday.
She isnât back yet. Iâm sure she found it. That has me worried. I donât want her going to the clubhouse without me.
Too much hearsay to bring her down and set her off.
âVanâs isnât here?â Blondie sits up in his bed with the cover going under his arms.
âNo. Of course sheâs here. I must have wanted to give you a wake-up call. Her phone is here, her bikeâs gone. Keys. Jacket. Does this place not have a security system? You canât check to see when the door was last opened?â
Blondie gets whatâs going on now. With his cover wrapped around him like some toga bullshit, he goes down the hall to his dadâs room. I eavesdrop from the doorway.
âSavannahâs gone. She left and didnât take her phone with her. We donât know when she left. Or where she went.â
I already put a call in to Dax and Dane.
Dane wasnât at home. Dax didnât answer.
When Jonah comes out of the room, he looks like shit.
âYouâre not paying enough attention to her. I let you stay so it would ease her mind,â he bitches as he walks by.
~Fuck you, pig.~
~I ease her mind all the goddamn time.~
I keep my mouth shut.
For her.
We all go downstairs and watch him go into a room and come back with some cop shit. I donât have to be a tech genius to know a vehicle tracker site when I see one.
Blondie and I move behind him to see the log in and the call go out.
The map pops up in green with the homing beacon getting pinged off the nearby towers to send back her location.
We wait.
My phone buzzes to show Dax calling me back.
I step a bit away and take the call.
âIs she there?â I get to the point. I donât like her there without me.
I donât like her away from me.
âNot anymore. Sheâs something else, broseph. Van came over and we started drinking. She won eight hundred dollars in one fight. She took down Harrison with a shot to the nuts that made all of us feel bad for him. She crushed his dreams of ever having kids. Thatâs a definite.â
He laughs but I donât.
She shouldnât have been there.
She shouldnât have been drinking.
She got in a cage again.
She could have been hurt.
Iâm sure she is and trying to hide it.
~WHERE THE FUCK IS SHE?~
âWhen was she there?â Blondie and Jonah look at me. Hanging on the answer.
I know they heard all that. Itâs too quiet for them to miss it.
âVan came around at like, four maybe. She was out of it a bit. Wanted to talk to dad. I had to distract her, which was hard to do. I should get a medal for my babysitting your girl last night. She was looking for trouble. Stubborn as a mule, that one. You two are made for each other.â
âWhy? Why did she want to talk to him?â
âDonât know. But she called him Odin. You know how well that would have went down. I kept her out of the bar, before you start in on your bullshit, broseph, the only way I could do that was by getting her in the ring.
âShe canât turn down a dare for shit. I told her to cool it but she looked like she was needing it. I won so much fucking money last night by betting on her.
âBetween her and Grave they won every fight last night. Uncle Lawrence was even cheering for them. He brought out the good rum last night after the last one. The club made hella money last night with everyone wanting to take her on. Tell her I got her shit put up too.â
âShe left without her jacket?â
She wouldnât have done that willingly.
After all the work I put into this one, seeing how bad it hurt her to lose the other. She wouldnât have left it.
Savannah would walk into a burning building for that thing.
It took me two weeks to get her to even message me back after it.
It worked out in the end. I mean, I fixed it the best I could and that made her happy.
So happy she gave me her first blowjob ever.
She wouldnât have left it.
âYeah, she left without it after knocking Grave the fuck out, it was weird. They were getting along and everything when she wanted to get a tattoo. He took into the shop and not even an hour she had him out cold. He still hasnât gotten up.â
Her uncle looks about to shatter.
As if he is made from glass.
She got in the cage again.
While I was offâgoddamn!
~What the fuck Savannah?!~
I know they heard all this.
âShe shouldnât have been drinking. Why didnât I get a call?â
I can taste fresh blood mixing with old. The spots in my mouth have almost healed up.
I canât break shit here like I would do in my own space.
âUh, probably because we were having too much fun. Darrion hiding away all night with dad. I had a blast. I feel like a kid today. Iâm not even hung over. Letâs go do something today.â
I hang up on him and repress my anger.
âWe need to find her. Now.â
Blondie agrees, the two of us looking at the green screen to see if itâs picked up her location yet.
A white circle shows up to map her surroundings out.
Her bike has low Jack.
I left it when I added her speed chip.
âSavannah doesnât sneak out unless itâs something she canât wait on, something she shouldnât be doing,â her uncle adds.
Blondie going to the locked cabinet on the side so he can grab a white box.
~Why?~
~Darrion.~
âShe didnât let it go. She went for answers.â
The code gets received and pings back to show where she is at exactly.
Her location is moving through the countryside, forty miles outside of town. Nothingâs out there, itâs why I took her there when we fucked for the first time.
âWhy is she out there?â Blondie speaks up.
âShe had an attack, I doubt she knows where she is or what sheâs doing.â
Her uncle readies an injection, setting her medication up.
âShe got her answers.â Jonah closes the box.
Her uncle goes to the kitchen. Buttons are pressed, I listen in on him making a call.
âAn attack? Like the day she freaked about going for a ride with me and you shot her up?â
Blondie nods.
~Fuck.~
âShe isnât his, is she? The rumor is true?â
I ask Blondie, but itâs Jonah that answers.
âShe is a Madis. She is my niece, she is Jeremiah and Ellis Madisâs daughter. Their first born child. She will always be. We are her family. And she needs us now. Letâs go.â
