Chapter 5

Finding a Path for the Mind to Follow

Unification of the Mind

The mind needs to find purpose within the experience of the environment. We are constantly collecting stimuli through prioritization; an essential tenet of modern cognitive psychology, one first established by William James. It is through the environment that we can create, Creation by God is an act of unification with the power of our souls. By allowing us the power to create in the physical world, God has a relationship with us that must be healed by faith in ourselves. By seeking purpose, we take responsibility for our inherent power, the power that is determined by our values. Through the creation of the environment, our power can change how we are stimulated.

Changing the mind is changing the body, and therefore an act of Creation. It is a spiritual act to change the mind. The body is affected by the environment, all of Creation is part of the spiritual actions of the mind. The act of Creation is an act of culmination, in which we take the environment of the body as an opportunity for transformation of the soul.
