Chapter 396

For the next three days, Jing Bo Yuan is like a guardian of a child. He takes Ye Qing Xin to play around the amusement park of the manor. He watches Ye Qing Xin laughs like a little kid. He also smiles and laughs a lot with her.

Though Ye Qing Xin is an adult it’s her first time to play that happily and crazily. She feels like she is back to her childhood. With Jing Bo Yuan’s companion, she doesn’t feel afraid to play anything.

On the fifth day of their long holiday, one morning the sky looks so gloomy. In the mid-afternoon, suddenly there’s a fierce wind and the heavy rain starts to happen.

Ye Qing Xin stands in front of the the window and looks at outside. The sky is gray and the rain is so heavily.

The television is on in the living room, the news is reporting regarding the heavy rain.

“This rain will continue till the holiday lasts?” Ye Qing XIn sits down on the sofa beside Jing Bo Yuan and leans on Jing Bo Yuan’s embrace.

She doesn’t like rainy days.

He takes the remote control and gives it to her. “If you are bored, then you can watch television.

Ye Qing Xin changes the channels. She watches the first-rating channel. It shows an image of crying Ye Qing Guo. It makes her watch it.

Ye Qing Guo’s movie is well-received and hot.

Ye Qing Xin watches it for a while. This movie has a lot of good actors and actresses ith good acting skills. This movie is adapted from a novel.

Ye Qing Xin leans on Jing Bo Yuan’s shoulder and starts to calm herself down. From time to time, there’s a sound of thunder. But after a while, Jing Bo Yuan turns his head to look at Ye Qing Xin. He notices that his young wife has fallen asleep.

He just smiles and puts down his book. He carries her up to go to the bedroom.

The time she wakes up, the sky is dark. She looks at the clock, it’s just 02:00 p.m. She stands up and goes to the living room. Jing Bo Yuan sits down on the sofa and leans on the sofa. He is looking at his laptop and typing something on.

Ye Qing Xin doesn’t disturb him and just goes to his back silently. She is looking at the laptop.

The screen is full of codes. She cannot understand it but so she is uninterested toward it.

It’s still raining outside, there’s also thunders from time to time.

“You are awake?” Jing Bo Yuan puts down his laptop. “Are you hungry? Let’s go eat.”

Ye Qing xin looks at the weather outside and asks: “You cooked for me?” The rain is too heavy, the waiters should not come because of the rain.

Jing Bo Yuan doesn’t deny, he holds her hands to the dining room.

This terrible weather makes people easily feel sleepy and tired. After the lunch, Ye Qing Xin returns to the room and sleeps again.

Once she wakes up again, the sky is really really dark. The rain keeps on pouring. It’s like God pours down all the rain for those not-raining months.

The time she answers Dou Weir’s call, Ye Qing Xin has already finished her dinner. She is nesting in the sofa and watching movie. She holds a bowl of fruits, which are cut by Jing Bo Yuan.

“Jing City is raining so heavily, what are you doing at home?” Dou Weir says on the phone.

“I’m watching the movie, is your Nai Nai okay?” Ye Qing Xin asks attentively, Dou Weir’s Nai Nai is sick so Dou Weir goes home for few days.

“She is quite good.” Dou Weir sound a bit sad. “In my hometown, there’s no good doctor. I want to take her to Jing City, but....”

She pauses and continues: “She feels afraid if she leaves, then she will never go back again. She doesn’t willing to go with me.”

“Elders always love to stay at home, she has been living there for few years. Of course she is unwilling to part with it. You should have a good talk with her. Jing City has a lot of good doctors. If she comes here, then she also can go home healthily.”

“Em, I know.” The topic turns serious. Dou Weir doesn’t want to talk much about it, so she shifts the topic. “So how are you enjoying the holiday of husband and wife with Big Boss Jing?”

“It’s quite good.” Ye Qing Xin laughs sweetly.

She sounds happy. Though it’s on the phone, Dou Weir can guess that she is happy. Because she doesn’t want to be abused by her happiness, she prepares to hang up.

“Weir!” Ye Qing Xin calls after her.

“You and He...... how are you guys?” Ye Qing Xin is thinking about what Jiang Xiao Lou said to her. She also remembers of that little boy. Ye Qing Xin doesn’t know how to handle this matter.

These days she just played around with Jing Bo Yuan so she forgot about it.

Ye Qing Xin still wants to say something but someone seems to talk with Dou Weir. Dou Weir says to her. “My Nai Nai is calling me, next time we’ll chat again.”

Ye Qing Xin just swallows her words.

Jing Bo Yuan is still sitting on the sofa and typing something on his laptop. Ye Qing Xin notices that he looks so serious so she doesn’t disturb him. Jiang Xiao Lou’s words might not be true. She shouldn’t rush it.

She changes the channel on the sofa and notices Ye Qing Guo’s movie again. It is just broadcasted as it shows “Episode 1”.

Ye Qing Xin puts down her remote control and bowl of fruits. She holds the pillow and watches the movie.

Around 10:30 p.m., both of them go to sleep.

In the late night.

Ye Qing Xin is awake by a vibrating phone. She isn’t clearly awake, but Jing Bo Yuan already answers the phone.

“What is it?”

Ye Qing Xin cannot hear what the caller said, but she just hears Jing Bo Yuan says: “Immediately increase the numbers of rescuers. The staffs’ families should be very emotional. Sends some people there to console them. You also should arrange the media.”

Ye Qing Xin is woke up because of his words. Jing Bo Yuan doesn’t turn on the light as it’s so dark. She also cannot see clearly so she turns on the bedside lamp.

She can see his serious face.

“I’ll go over now.” Jing Bo Yuan hangs up.

Ye Qing Xin knows from his expression and tone, something bad has happened.

If not how can in this terrible night and weather, he will leave her alone here.

“What happened?” She holds his hand, she is worried for him.

Jing Bo Yuan pats her hand and dials a number. He instructs several things and hangs up again.

“You will go back to the city? Let me go back with you too.” Ye Qing Xin holds his arm. Jing Bo Yuan calls the female waiter over. He plans to let her stay.

Jing Bo Yuan holds her face.

“It’s raining heavily outside. It’s inconvenient to go out. Don’t worry. I’ll handle this and pick you up later on.”

Ye Qing Xin knows that he is doing this for her own good, she also knows if she follows him, he will not concentrate so she agrees with him.

Jing Bo Yuan wears all his clothes. Two female employees come over.

“Take a good care of her.”

Jing Bo Yuan says it and strokes Ye Qing Xin’s head. He takes the umbrella nad leaves.

Then Ye Qing Xin watches him leave with the speedboat.

She stands on the door and watches him leave. She cannot see very clearly because of the rain. She is worried. She takes out her phone and sends him a message.

[Be careful and take care.]

After some time, he replies.

[I got it. Sleep again.]

Then she turns a bit relieved. She just remembers that two female workers are here too. They are waiting for her in the living room.

“Go and have a shower and dry your clothes too. Don’t get a cold.” Ye Qing Xin says. “There are a lot of rooms here. After the shower, you guys can sleep. Just look out for the activities outside. There’s nothing else you guys need to do.”

The two smile and thank her. Then they both go to the room.

Ye Qing Xin returns to her own room. Without Jing Bo Yuan, she just realizes that she has difficulty sleeping in a bed. She flips her body around and finally falls asleep. She keeps on dreaming.

The next morning, the rain and storm have started to calm down.

Ye Qing Xin calls Jing Bo Yuan but it’s unanswered.

She turns worried again.
