The atmosphere turns very familiar.

Dou Weir notices the car enters the courtyard, she is startled.

“What are you taking me here?”

He Ji Fan says nothing, he stops the car. He gets off the car and walks toward the stairs. Dou Weir sits on the back seat, she doesn’t get off the car.

He notices that she doesn’t follow. He Ji Fan turns his body and looks at each other silently.

He Ji Fan is angry, Dou Weir could feel it.

She admits that saying those words toward Shi Ying is too much. It’s unfair toward Zhou Zhou. But he wants to use silent treatment toward her? If he dissatisfied with her, he should just say it directly toward her. But she also has no play to be Zhou Zhou’s stepmother.

Dou Weir’s temper is not very good. Her temper is much more impulsive. These two years, she has learned to be much calmer. Yet then it doesn’t mean that she is a ‘punching bag’.

She gets off the car and walks toward the gate.

The atmosphere is silent, there’s only the sound of her high heels.

But then she hears another footstep, she couldn’t help but to walk even faster. But that man could chase after her easily. He holds her wrist and drags her to the elevator. He drags her inside till they arrive at the apartment, then he used to decorate for her. She says nothing.

The apartment has been empty for a long time. Yet it’s still as clean as it is before. It is not dusty. There should be someone who frequently cleans it up.

When they broke up, she returned it back to him. At first, she sometimes would come home to stay. But after a while, she doesn’t come back again. But to think carefully, it’s been a year.

He Ji Fan lights on his cigarette and looks at Dou Weir seriously. Dou Weir stands still in the center of the living room. Her eyes are looking at every places. She looks cold and expressionless.

She doesn’t think that He Ji Fan is taking her here for remembering the past. Moreover, there’s nothing to miss about them.

“Now we are here. Do you have anything to say to me?” After a while, He Ji Fan speaks up first.

Dou Weir raises her head and looks over: “What do you want me to say?”

He Ji Fan looks at her, he wants to see something on her face. Yet he just notices that she is at loss and confused. She really has nothing to say to him.

She remembers about the recording. In the full recording she seems to say to Shi Ying that “Shi Xiao Jie, not everything that you think is valuable, anyone might think the same. If you have no serious matter to say, please just go home.”

This means she basically doesn’t think He Ji Fan is a valuable one.

He Ji Fan is born in a rich family, he always be proud of himself. Hearing her saying those words to Shi Ying, somehow has attacked him.

In the past all women around him always acted like Shi Ying, they would take initiative to send theirselves to him. But only this woman in front of him, he feels that he would die because of anger soon.

He uses to hate those women who keep on looking for him. But now he wishes that Dou Weir could care of him. But turns out she doesn’t even take him into her heart.

He smokes several cigarettes then looks at Dou Weir.

Dou Weir feels awkward to be watched that way. The time he lights his seventh cigarette, finally she speaks up: “What do you want? Do you have something to talk about or not? I just came home from abroad. I’m so tired, I want to have a rest.”

He Ji Fan’s face turns darker.

How could she be so indifferent in this familiar place.

Dou Weir finds an excuse but Old Madame Dou’s face just turns cold. “Weir, tell Nai Nai honestly. Do you fight with Xiao He?”

Dou Weir is startled and just answers: “Nai Nai, how could you guess it? I’m, I’m just afraid that you would worry so I don’t tell you. Xiao He..... I break up with him....”

“What?” Old Madame Dou doesn’t think that the matter is so serious: “Why are you guys breaking up?”

Dou Weir’s face shows that she feels guilty: “I’m sorry. I hide this fact from you. Actually his parents don’t approve us to be together. He keeps on having fights with his family. At first we planned to get married after the National Day. We planned to just depend on ourselves for our future. But then he went abroad and something happened between us. She couldn’t help but to criticize her: “Xiao He’s Shu Shu (Uncle) comes over to look for me. You kid, why are you just staring at us, greet him.”

Dou Weir looks at He Ji Fan confusedly. Xiao He Shu Shu? Who could tell her what is happening here?

“Call He Shu Shu.” Old Madame Dou urges.

Dou Weir just follows unwillingly: “He Shu Shu.”

“Pour him a cup of tea.” Old Madame Dou asks.

Dou Weir passes a cup of tea to He Ji Fan and glares ruthless at him in Old Madame Dou’s blindspot.

He Ji Fan feels good about it, he smiles even brighter.

Dou Weir is so furious and glares at him again.

She notices that He Ji Fan brings a lot of nutriment for Old Madame Dou.

When He Ji Fan wants to leave, Old Madame Dou asks Dou Weir to send him out. Dou Weir has no way so she just follows Old Madame Dou’s request.

“What are you doing? Who asks you to come?”

“How rude would you be?” He Ji Fan pulls her to his embrace.

“You are crazy. This is hospital.” Dou Weir starts to struggle.

He Ji Fan doesn’t let her go, instead he is holding her even tighter. “If your Nai Nai knows how close and intimate our relationship, would she be angry?”

“You.......” Dou Weir glares at him. “Let me go! I wouldn’t say any bad word, okay?”

“Then accompany me to have dinner too.” He Ji Fan is insatiable.

Dou Weir’s eyes open even bigger.

“You are not willing? Then I would tell the Old Madame that I’m your boyfriend.”

Dou Weir steps on his feet.

They go to the restaurant in front of the hospital. He Ji Fan is asking for a private room.

She is reading the entertainment news, she remembers the news of Shi Ying being shelved. Dou Weir looks at He Ji Fan with her mocking gaze. “Shi Ying gave a birth to a son for you, how could you be so ruthless toward her.”

He Ji Fan’s smile turns thin: “She does something wrong, she should undertake the responsibility.”

He Ji Fan doesn’t answer. Inside Dou Weir’s heart, she wants to ask further, but she says nothing.

After the dinner, Dou Weir packs a takeaway of plain porridge and several common dishes for bringing back for Old Madame Dou.

The sky is dark, He Ji Fan wants to send her back to the hospital. But when they are in a secluded area, He Ji Fan takes her to a corner and kisses her under a tree.

Dou Weir is dazzled, she feels that this man is too fickle. Last night he was acting like he is criticizing her heavily but today he changes his attitude again.

“Tonight go to my place.” He says to her.

Dou Weir is gaining her rationality in between. She pulls out his hand out of her sweater and pushes him away: “I want to bring this takeaway to Nai Nai.”

He Ji Fan doesn’t make things difficult for her.

Recently he has solved “tip of a horn- an insignificant problem”, he knows that Dou Weir’s word of not liking him is not true. Why should she care what she said to Shi Ying.

Whether she likes him or not, he could feel it.

Just like before, her bodily response is more honest than her words.

“Why are you just coming back?” Old Madame Dou asks worriedly.

“Oh, I met my friend downstair, we went to have dinner for a while. I bring this takeaway for you. This is light-flavored food, eat it when it’s hot.”

“I have eaten.” Old Madame Dou says, “Xiao Hui bought food for me.”

Xiao Hui is the nurse, who Dou Weir employs to take care of Old Madame.

Dou Weir turns her head and says to Xiao Hui: “Thank you, tonight you could go home and have a rest. Tonight I would accompany Nai Nai.”

“Why are you accompanying me again tonight? Don’t you need to go to work tomorrow?”

She turns on the television. Though Dou Weir doesn’t feel interested to it, but looking how happy the Old Madame is, she is happy to accompany her.

After few days, He Ji Fan goes on a business trip. Before the trip, he comes over to the hospital to say goodbye to Old Madame Dou. She knows that her action is a bit impudent but she is old, she wants to do something for her granddaughter.

She knows that she couldn’t see through a person perfectly but she thinks she could see him very closely.

This man, she feels he is great. These days of interaction with him, she notices that he is a sensible man. Previously she purposely used things she learnt to make it hard for him. She didn’t expect that he could handle it. He has a great knowledge.

He has a great appearance too, the time he stands beside her granddaughter, she feels that they are a match.

Moreover, he is a patient man, he is willing to accompany her to chat. It shows that he is a great personality.
