The rest of the hours that we had left ended playing games and watching horror movies but the time comes when I have to sit and be happily in love with Ava.

I left Luke alone in my room and made sure to scold him. Elijah was now pressuring me to fix my hair and I did, dad was giving me hateful looks which I ended giving him a middle finger.

The door bell rang and mom quickly open the door greeting our guests, Ava spotted me quickly giving me a kiss on the lips and still I didn't feel nothing.

I wonder why.

"Why don't we sit" mom said interrupting us, everyone agree then we sat at our original seats.

Yeah original we always do this sometimes just because they're in some business project again.

I was sitting next to Elijah and me who was sitting in front of Ava dad's. "So how was school miles" he said while smiling at me.

"Same as always" without any expression.

"He's been doing well and has been mastering his grades" dad said interrupting the silence then he finally switched the subject with his cases that he took.

The talking happen back and ford with them, sometimes Ava jumped in to brag about her hair or her purse.

"So miles how is it going with you and Ava" Ava mom speaks.

"Great".

"I been thinking you guys should have some quality alone" is she really thinking about me going on a date with her. Never.

"Too busy"

Ava face turned angry "this is unfair you never have time for me".And all I did was grab the plate that had the red velvet cookies which were at the middle of the table.

"Don't worry he has time" dad said then making made sure to glare at me then smiled back at the family.

"No. I. Don't." Taking the cookie angrily on my plate, the moment I taste I really recalled all the memories of Luke and I.

"Miles shes your girlfriend have some respect" mom said to me which angered me then an idea pop out.

"Well not anymore" their heads snapped right at me.

"Repeat?"

"Sure" i stand up from my chair along with grabbing my wine glass pointing at the air "I announce to you guys that we're officially over" taking a sip of the cup just to slam it on the table after that i headed upstairs.

This time I actually listened to him, and right now am hiding under the covers watching food asmr. Who doesn't it makes me fucking hungry.

A door opened loudly and shut loudly, I quickly pulled the covers and looked to see an angry miles.

"Woah, what happen" getting off the bed.

"Nothing I just want to leave here please" his head was now on my chest and my hands were hugging his torso.

"Of course, you can stay over my place." Grabbing my bag "just go pick up your uniform" he nodded to my word.

After we're done packing, we headed downstairs just to see a crying Ava. "You're gonna have to tell me the tea when we're done" whispering to him.

They looked at us with a surprise reaction but Ava just looked me with an irritated expression which resulting giving her the finger.

"UGH THIS IS SO UNFAIR" She shouted.

Elijah hurried towards us but his eyes were focusing on me "take care of him ok?" Nodding to his request.

Miles eagerly opened the door then stomping outside to his car.

I close the door behind me to quickly catch up with him.

He opened the driver door but I blocked him instead "you are not driving"

"Seriously am not in the mood. move." but all I did was just stand there waiting for him to break.

"Fine" he said with rolling his eyes.

Sassy much.

The seat was really comfy, after miles got in his i started the car. The road was wet with the heavy rain that we're having.

It was silent no laughing no talking no nothing. All he did was stare at the window watching raindrops racing.

"Look let's just forget this and think happy thoughts" miles turned his head to look at me "like what"

I pointed to his phone hoping he would connect it to the car. He got what I was trying to saying "fine" after it seem likes forever he picks 'party rock anthem'.

Since I didn't know the full lyrics all I did was dance in my seat as miles sang the whole song.

We're finally here. I took the keys out to hand him it he grabbed his bag and I did the same.

The house was dark and quiet thank god she didn't notice I skip school remembering the time I texted her that am staying at a friend house.

"Be quiet" I told miles who was behind me.

My room was kinda at the end of the hallway, which is the coldest room in the entire house.

Opening the door just to be hit by cold breeze looking around for source I noticed I left the window open.

"Grab the extra blanket from the closet over there" I said to miles who was putting his bag down.

"Luke.. is there a extra mattress"

"Stop being a wussy and get in" hearing sign in the quiet and dark room.

"Am doing this because am tired"

"Great"

The moment he entered, it was just pure awkward silence "goodnight miles"

Our head were facing each other miles did the unexpected thing and kissed my forehead.

"Isn't that friends do" whispering in my ears, now he was teasing me.

"Go to sleep now." Turning my back at him

"Yes, honey"
