18 - The hole

It's been about 3 days since we haven't speak and plus him hitting me gave me the idea that he needed space from me.

Thankfully mom didn't notice I was gone or was suspicious of me expect the time I came home with a bloody nose. Thanks miles.

And right now I was laying flat on my bed throwing a tennis ball up in the ceiling every time. Did I do something wrong probably that's it.

Mom and dad was at work, my little sister was in school and mom trust me enough not to leave the house or use electronics.

She shouldn't have trusted me.

I sat up on the bed reaching for my shoes then putting them on. He sun shined in my face showing my brown eyes which I covered quickly.

I reached the kitchen grabbing a chocolate donut on the way towards the door.

Here I was looking at my phone ready for lunch to be over as well trying to welcome back Henry.

He was now heading towards the table with a huge smile staring at me.

My attention turned back to my phone looking for any messages from him. I mean I punched him driving off without even telling what went wrong.

And for some reason Avery and Sarah were sitting here? Last time I remember them being with Luke.

Henry sat in front of me grabbing some skittles handing me a big of it. "So what did I miss?"

"Too much, the escape room was fire" Ava replied as taking a huge sip of her soda.

"Escape room?" He said with surprise.

"You know the craziest thing is" Liam chuckled under his breath he folded his arm leaning over Henry.

I looked both at Mike and Damien knowing what Liam was about to say.

"Stop, Henry just came out of the hospital" Mike stopped Liam before it came worst.

"What happen?" He said being more interested.

"Luke joined us too along joining the group" Avery said waiting for his reaction. Bitch.

"WHAT!" Henry slammed his fist on the table causing attention to the others who was looking at us, the rest of us shush him before we got in trouble.

"I thought we weren't including him in stuff anymore" his eyes turned to me with angered.

"Well he's not anymore" I said without any expression.

My attention was back on my phone scrolling once more to see if he actually respond to my message but he didn't.

The bell rang and I quickly got up heading towards the next lesson. Henry was behind him shouting to wait up but right now am fill with anger.

The next class was english which groaning was my respond to that.

"Alright class remember the project that is due in a 3 days" she dismissed class who was already running out of the room.

Before I could leave the class she called Luke's group "since he's suspended for the time being, I need you to include him in the project."

Charlotte nodded her head quickly the Damien agreed "don't worry he's know that he should be coming today" she smiled when saying that sentence which me upset.

"Alright guys are dismiss" she said waving us off.

School should be over by time I don't know why I do that and should be at Charlotte house in a hour.

I decided to explore the different in the woods which was definitely worth. I found a different spot it was magical a big tree that you could inside with a hill that you could see animals and how the breeze swing the trees.

The view was unbelievable better than my original spot even though the trail was muddy it was worth a sacrifice for my shoes.

I was now walking home until I heard a branch snap it was in front of me but I couldn't what it was.

Secs later I saw a shadow that wasn't a human form? Oh shit.

It was a bear.

And right now it was running straight at me. Why me.

And of course I ran.

I couldn't afford to slip right now.

Leaving me with two idea.

(a) Go to the main spot where miles group are probably are.

(b) Or the spot I just found that's where am running away from. I rolled my eyes when I came to realization to that.

Running through trees still couldn't shake it off plus it was catching up on me reminding me of miles.

My speed was pacing up until the moment I twist my leg hitting the floor.

I groan in pain.

The bear was running towards me and all I could do was brace for impact but before that i remember bringing donuts. Yes!

I got it out of my pockets tossing it in the opposite direction which it fell for.

Clutching my hands on my chest I could feel how my heart was beating fast.

My leg was hurting like a bitch.

And I have a project that I couldn't fail.

I signed and got up the only thing I could do was limp to Charlotte house.

I won't give up..

I did.

I don't why Henry came with me and Damien but I didn't care it was fun to have someone who was close to me and Damien.

We were at Charlotte house knocking on her door. Her door opened greeting us.

She got out of our way the first thing I notice was there was a bunch of desserts on the table no wonder why Luke came here.

"Where's Luke" Damien said.

"He should be here any minutes"

How will I face him. On the other hand Henry was piss if he knew Luke was gonna be here then why come?

We went to the table gathering our stuff putting our research together. Charlotte brought laptop for the same reason.

"He's not coming" Damien with his finally thought.

"He is, just give him a minute" Charlotte added.

"Sure.." Henry mumble it under his breath.

There was ding sound which she gave her attention back to her phone "never mind he sended me his research"

Was it because of me?

An hour later

My phone finally dead and if your wondering why didn't I just call my parents it's fucking obvious.

I decided to give it another try to start walking, the trail was muddy meaning the end for me.

The sun was beginning to set it was beautiful a cold breeze past me moving my hair along the way.

I was now at my original spot going back home now until I heard something. Please not the bear.

It was talking which meaning they're here. I quickly search for a place to hide, catching one that was perfect.

My foot was aching from the limping I was doing. The hiding spot was  little far away from them which was great so if I needed to run I have an advantage.

I quickly hid behind the bush waiting for them to settle down and they did.

Great I be walking home limping with no sunlight am done for at this point.

Taking a peek I saw only Liam and Ava along with my ex best friends

Didn't they get the idea they're not in the group surely miles accepted them whatever.

Ava definitely told them they're joining the group if am not their friends anymore.

I took my eyes off them to relax my foot which was still hurting by the way. I rested my head on the tree near the bush. mins later a light was coming this way seeing that it was rest of them I had to move quickly.

Here I was crawling behind trees and finally I found another spot that they couldn't see. I stood up from my feet limping to my way there.

The area looked uneasy, there was a sign that I couldn't properly see. I waved it off for some random sign.

I fell

Not on the floor.

I fell into a hole.

"Hold this" Mike handed me his phone posing in front of the sunset.

It was beautiful I will make sure of that.

"Here" handing him the phone back.

He showed Damien which he silently regretted "you look... terrible" earning him a slap on the head.

"No more homework's, no classes....for now"

"we should go to that cool laser tag place" henry said which we agreed to.

"Maybe not today probably tomorrow?"

"Sure"

Liam started to bring up more stuff that we should do when's it's thanksgiving breaks.

I was started to get more worry about him first he's not answering his phone then when I try to call him it goes straight to voice mail.

A scream was heard not far away from us before it stopped, we all looked at each other.

"Yep, am leaving" Toby grabbed his school bag heading out.

"Am checking it out" they stared at me with eyes wide open "you're one of the people who's dies first in a horror movie" Liam added.

"Whatever" rolling my eyes.

The trail over here was muddy, they think am crazy but what if someone needed help.

There was groaning on along with some cuss words. "HELLO?!" I shouted.

I flash my phone to this weird hole but I didn't know it was that slippery. My foot slipped along dropping my phone, I landed on something thinking it was dirt until that dirt talked.

"Get off me!" That voice sound felt familiar.

"Luke what are you doing here." Getting off his torso.

"I don't know am just chilling WHY ELSE WOULD I BE HERE" I flinched at his shouting

"I don't appreciate your shouting" sending a glare at him.

"I dont appreciate seeing you here" he replied back then laying his head on the wall.

"We can't be here forever"

"Great to say the obvious" saying in a sarcastic tone.

"Stop being such a bitch"

"I see one"

My eyes widened up with shock and anger "what's wrong with you!"

Kicking his leg hard which resulting him to push me back hard.

"Just hurry and call someone" turning his head sideways.

"Well my phone is up their genius"

"Just do something!"

"Not with that attitude" moving away from him.

"Fine"

"Fine"

He started to move into a relaxing position then resting his head on his shoulders was he really not gonna apologize.

"Hey are you okay" there was no response. I moved closely to him which I could hear sniffing.

"Are you crying?"

"No"

"Yea you are"

"Leave me alone"

"Why..?" I said out of nowhere

"Let's see miles I AM trap in a HOLE, my legs are fucking hurting, my parents probably gonna ground me forever"

I grabbed his head putting it on my shoulders then we both decided to stay silent.

Just for a minute.

"Am suffocating. Do something!" Luke fanned him self trying to get breeze.

"Damien should be here any minute now"

"ITS BEEN 40 MINUTES ALREADY" he started hit the dirt wall which wasn't working.

"Stop before it collapsed" lifting his off hands then cupping it in my hands. "Calm down"

"I could kiss you right now but that would be a bad time" way to ruin the mood.

I pushed him back hard on the wall, he held his head up along with muttering some cuss words.

A voice was heard nearby and i shouted quickly looking back to Luke who was just sitting their "why are you not shouting"

"Because it's embarrassing" shrugging his shoulders.

"Seriously"

The walking stopped, looking at them it was only Mike and Damien flashing their phone at us.

"We will call the police" Damien said which widened Luke's eyes.

"Don't call the police help me out of here!"

"Are you sure.."

"Please."

"I think it's twisted" we examined his foot when we finally got out.

"Hold on, let me lift you up"

"Do you need help" Mike was on the edge of freaking out.

"He will stay the night at my house"

"Your house? Maybe we could do that that I was talking about"

As usual I ignore him.

My hand was at his waist while his arm were around me "I am sleepy"

"Your problem"

"Hmm"

"Why were you outside by the way"

"Found a better spot"

"Tell me"

"No"

"Please" giving him the puppy eyes.

"Adorable but no."
