Secretly The Billionaire Boss By Debbie Chocolate Chapter 139
Secretly The Billionaire Boss
Chapter 139: Joker card day Emma waited anxiously for the pictures to load before she hurried back to the dining room. She had the hard copy as well. She told Nora to send both the soft and hard copies to her.
Benjamin looked up at her. âEmma, arenât you eating?â.
Emma snorted and sat eventually. âI had to retrieve something urgently. You wonât believe what itâs all about.â â What are you on about this time, Emma? âLucy inquired. âBefore I proceed, I would like to ask you a question. Can I proceed?â
Lucy regarded her for a moment. âYes, sure you can go on.â
TT Grey looked up at this point. He knew what she was going to talk about anyways and he was patiently waiting for it. âWhat would you do if your daughterâs husband cheats on your daughter? I mean generally, perhaps from relatives and others. Would you agree for them to break up?â She sounded so excited. âSounds like sheâs talking about Grey!â Smith joked.
Avery sent him a dirty glare.â Donât start.â Smith laughed and continued to eat.
âYou should tell us what you wanted to say instead of asking silly questions,â Benjamin said quickly before Lucy would talk. Emma sent him a disapproving look. âAre you feeling guilty all of a sudden?â
Benjamin chuckled. âWhy will I? You know that I will never cheat on you.â
Emma nodded briefly.â Iâm aware. Thatâs why itâs not directed at you. Instead, itâs at the man we called a live-in son-in-law.â She announced suddenly.
All gazes turned towards Grey while he continued to eat. Avery was the first to speak. âWhat? Did you cheat? With Caramel?â She blurted out.
âCaramel? Your friend?â Benjamin was confused. âHey! Why will Caramel do something like that!â
Emma boomed. âItâs not her, it can never be her. What would that rich and beautiful lady be doing with a loser like Grey?â She remarked.
Lucy observed Grey for a moment, then looked over at Emma. âAre you sure of what you are saying?â
Emma nodded briefly and severally. âI wouldnât make a claim without evidence,â she responded defiantly and retrieved some photos from her bag. She threw them on the table so that they would be scattered and everyone would be able to look at them.
It actually showed when Nora gave Grey a peck but she managed to place her arms around Grey.
âWho the fuck is this?â Avery was enraged. She had never felt so jealous and angry but she couldnât stop the way she was currently feeling. âItâs Nora, his ex-girlfriend. So, dad, what are you going to do to Grey? He violated your rules already. I think you should acknowledge the divorce already,â she rushed the words, feeling pride in herself for the job well done. âLooks like the live-in son-in-law was busy enjoying himself,â Smith joked. âGrey, is this true?â Avery fired, angrily. âWhat do you expect? Itâs not like you treated him like a husband anyways, do you?â Smith spoke again. Avery sent him a cold glare.
âOne more word from you, Smith, and I wonât care that you are older than I am.â
âHey! Stop it!â Lucy boomed suddenly, his voice cutting short what Smith was about to say. He regarded the pictures for a moment. âAre you sure these pictures are real?â
His question shocked Emma and for a moment, she couldnât really gather a word. Lucy has never liked Grey. Even though he didnât allow them to get a divorce but he silently hoped that his daughter had gone for someone else instead of Grey. Emma knew all these! And she was confident that her plan would work.
âOf course, itâs real. Do you think it was photographed?â Emma watched Lucy closely, noting the expression on his face. âI have the pictures on my phone as well,â she retrieved her phone and went through it for a moment before she stretched it towards Lucy. Lucy stared at the pictures for another moment, finally believing before he turned towards Grey. âGrey, is this true?â He asked calmly.
Emma blinked once, then twice. She wondered if she was daydreaming. There was no way Lucy was taking it so lightly. She found it strange.
It turned out that it wasnât only Emma, Avery was also watching Lucy, skeptical as to what was really happening. It felt like it wasnât her grandfather. Grey cleared his throat meaningfully. âNo, itâs not true.â
Emma felt a stab of annoyance at his response. âDad! Why would you even question him? Do you think the foolish boy was going to give you a straightaway answer?â
Lucy looked up at her.â Calm down, Emma,â then he looked at Grey again.â Why should I believe you? I have the evidence staring right in front of me.â Grey nodded once.â You shouldnât trust me without evidence. I_.â . âExactly, father!â Emma interrupted quickly.â You should allow them divorce. Why would we keep a son-in-law that is a disgrace? He might disgrace the Robinson someday,â Emma complained. âI have evidence,â Grey announced suddenly, startling Emma. Everyone stared at him in shock. Emma whipped her face towards him as if she didnât hear him clearly. âWhat did you just say?â
Grey smiled. âI have the evidence,â and he retrieved his phone.â We will all listen to it so that there wonât be any doubts.â He played a voice recorder and placed it on the table.
Actually, after several hours of thinking, Nora eventually decided to tell Grey everything. Little did she know that he was recording it. He didnât tell her as well.
He only told her to desist from all forms of evil acts and be good for once.
Nora had promised him to change but it looked like she didnât. She still wanted to take Emmaâs money.
So, she begged Grey to let her kiss him for the last time. It was supposed to be a goodbye kiss, according to what she told Grey. It was at that time that the shot was taken. Actually, Grey saw Tracy but he acted ignorant of it. He knew that Emma was going to bring up the topic and he was patiently waiting for her. That day was a Joker card day! And he still had one more card to give out.
