Secretly The Billionaire Boss By Debbie Chocolate Chapter 141
Secretly The Billionaire Boss
Chapter 141: Second Joker card âSir, I sincerely donât know what you are talking about. Iâm certain I wasnât who you were talking about,â her lips quivered as she explained. âIâm sure Iâm dead serious,â he finished up and walked away. Violet was lost. She didnât even know if she was supposed to believe him. But she couldnât stop the fact that he just related to Hercules. What if she really got sacked?
Grey walked towards the elevator, his gaze searching around for the other guy that tricked him the other day. Grey was going to sack the two of them.
But he didnât see him. So, he entered the elevator and went to the ninth floor.
He knocked slightly on Janeâs door.
There was a long moment of silence and shuffling. âYes, come in,â the voice offered.
Grey opened the door and walked in. âMorning Jane.â
Jane looked up, somehow shocked for a few seconds but she soon got over it. âWhat are you doing here?â A known expression spread across her face suddenly. âoh, are you here to beg for your job?
You must have been fired and you think you can come here and make me plead with Hercules on your behalf?â Her eyes showed disdain and there was this big smugness on the other side. She was so happy that her plan had worked. When she called Hercules that morning, she hadnât thought that he was going to work so fast. It was amazing to her.
Grey smiled softly. âYou are quite funny, Jane. Do you sincerely think Iâm here for that gibberish?â He insinuated.
IT Jane stared at him for a moment, unable to believe him. âWhat are you insinuating?â
Grey looked away for a moment.â Iâm here for something else, Jane,â he declared. Jane hissed. âGet out of my office, Grey. I have no time for your baubles as well. Iâm quite very busy.â Grey chuckled softly. Jane gave him a perplexed look. âWhy did you laugh just now?â She asked, shocked. As far she knew, Grey was supposed to be in the SU world and Jane didnât understand what was happening. âAre you sure you donât want to hear the end of this story?â He asked dangerously.
Jane cleared her throat meaningfully.â What do you want exactly?â Grey looked at her again.â I came here so that you can show me to my new office, âhe revealed.
Janeâs heart sat bolt upright at the word. âWhat do you mean?â
âI mean everything youâve just heard. From today henceforth, Iâm the new supervisor of this company.â
Jane stared for a moment and suddenly burst into fresh tears. âIs this supposed to be a funny joke?
Well, itâs quite funny,â she laughed the more. Grey shrugged slightly.â You still donât know what had hit you, Jane. But fortunately for you, you will find out soon,â he assured her. He barely stopped talking when a knock sounded on the door. âWho the fuck is there!â Jane yelled, in anger, her voice betraying the emotion she was feeling inside. She was supposed to act very coolly but she didnât have the luxury of time for it.
Well, Grey knew that she would soon go raving mad when she discovered the last Joker card he had played.
There was a strange silence on the other end before the door opened and a lady walked inside. âYou have a letter, boss.â Janeâs heart made a sudden beat.â Whatâs the letter for?â She asked as if she was expecting the lady to have read it.
âI sincerely donât know,â The lady said truthfully before she walked out. Jane placed the letter on the table beside her and looked at Grey. âYou should leave now. Thereâs no way you would be promoted here as a supervisor. Youâve committed a lot of sin and you deserve to be fired,â she accused.
Grey huffed.â Why donât you read your letter and letâs find out who will be fired today.â
Jane smiled at this.â Of course, it would be you. I will never be fired. Even Hercules trusts my work,â
she boasted. Seriously? Grey wanted to laugh but he bit it back in.
âIf you donât show me to my new office, someone else will and I donât know what that would mean to you,â he warned softly. âIâm definitely calling Hercules and asking him what itâs all about. You better pray that Hercules doesnât say something opposite of what you have just said or you will be jailed! I promise you. You will rot in jail!â She stressed out in anger and frustration.
Just as she picked up her phone to call, another knock sounded on the door. Jane sighed, exhausted.
âwho is there again? Whoever should come in!â The door opened and Maria stepped inside, a bit scared. Her eyes went wide with shock when she saw Grey.
âBoss, good morning,â she looked so happy to see him. âGood morning,â Grey responded and looked at Jane. âNevermind Jane, thereâs someone else already.â
Jane blinked once, lost. âWhat do you mean?â
Grey smiled. âMaria here will show me to my new office. You donât need to bother yourself with it. In fact, you are not even qualified to do so again,â he muttered in a thick voice.
Maria looked over at Grey, shocked. âYour new office?â
Grey nodded briefly. âIâm the new supervisor of Protos Pubblicita.â
Mariaâs face spread into a nice smile. â Iâm so happy about this,â in fact, she was more than happy. She enjoyed working with Grey anyways.
Jane stared in shock. She was more confused. âWhat is happening here? Will you two get out of my office?â
11 T Maria whipped her face towards her. â What do you mean by your office? This isnât your office again,â
she announced.
Jane stood suddenly. She couldnât take it any longer and had to do something about it. âAre you out of your fucking mind? How dare you come here and start spouting rubbish? I will teach you some sense!
In fact, you will all be sacked today!â She bragged and dialed a number on the telephone. âHello security, get your ass over here immediately!â
Maria sighed. â Itâs pointless, Jane. You no longer work here.â Jane looked over at Maria with confused expression.â What do you mean?â âThat I own this office now. Iâm the new secretary of Hercules,â Maria declared with pride.
