Secretly The Billionaire Boss By Debbie Chocolate Chapter 253
Secretly The Billionaire Boss
Chapter 253: Reassurance Grey blinked once, then twice. Confused and shocked was an understatement.
Grey was flabbergasted. He remembered how much he went through during their marriage. How Avery tampered with his dignity and ego.
It was weird that she could be confessing her feelings at that moment.
âAnd no!â She said quickly. âIâm not telling you to come back. I just had to tell you this, I mean before I leave,â she let out a sigh and looked up at Grey. âI regret everything that Iâve done to you. In fact, I regret how our relationship came to be. Iâm sorry for trusting Chris over you. Iâm sorry for letting you go through all you did. I hope you can. forgive me.â

Grey nodded once. âItâs ok. I forgave you already, a long time ago but if thatâs why you want to leave, you shouldnât. Isnât your life here?â
âI donât think so, Grey. Nothing is going well for me at this point. I feel like a loser and I need to start something to feel alive again,â she explained.
Grey stared at her, as he didnât know what to respond with.
âOur marriage would have been the perfect one but it started with lies. I really love you but destiny gave us a joke. It would have been the best marriage ever,â
she cracked laughter that was filled with sorrow.
Grey regarded her for a moment. Well, she knew how much it cost her for her grandfather to find them the way he did. And to now discovered it was Smith that set them up. Somehow, it felt like it wasnât her fault.
âWell, we can restart,â he said suddenly, even when he didnât expect it. Caramel was still there and he wouldnât deny the fact that he truly loved Caramel. But he didnât want Avery to be sad as well. If this would make her happy, he would gladly do it.
Avery faked a smile, somehow glad by Greyâs utterance. She didnât expect it even though a tiny part of her wanted that to happen. It was so comforting to her that Grey didnât hate her after all.
âI thought you hated me already,â she forced the words out but they came out with tears. âI thought you would say nasty things to me. Iâm sorry but being like this but__,â she was cut off as Grey pulled her into a bear hug.
He stroked her back slightly. âItâs ok, Avery. This isnât really your fault. Itâs all your familyâs fault,â he muttered.
Avery sobbed quietly. âBut itâs still my fault. I shouldnât have treated you the way I did. I shouldnât have taken it all on you. Iâm really sorry,â she felt happiness surge through her at her confession. She felt lightheaded and electricity run through her at Greyâs touch on her body. If they werenât outside, she might actually give in to lust.
âItâs ok,â Grey pulled back after a while. What do you want to do now? Will you love for us to go back?â
Avery nodded briefly. âYes but itâs too late, Grey. Iâve lost everything and I have to work hard to get them back, that is if I can still get them back,â she expressed.
Grey nodded briefly. âActually, I have someone else I love, even though Iâve always liked the bond we shared. We shared the same room, and stayed in the same house for months.â
Avery felt a lump appear in her throat at the revelation. She guessed it as well. It was normal anyways that Grey loved someone else with all she had made her go through.
Yet, it was heartbreaking.
âIs she someone I know?â She asked softly.
Grey nodded once. âYes, itâs Caramel.â
Avery looked away quickly and tried to suppress a tear. âItâs ok. I donât plan on staying anyways. My mind is made up but,â she hesitated as she looked up at him. âCan you do me a favor? A last one?â
âYes, whatâs it?â
Avery hesitated again. âKiss me.â
Another shock!
While Grey was hesitating, Avery went on her toes and dropped a kiss on his lips. âBye Grey, maybe we will see or maybe not, Iâm not sure but I want you to take very good care of yourself,â she didnât wait for him to say anything when she turned around to leave. She hesitated again as if there was someone she was looking at.
Grey followed the path of her gaze and found out it was Caramel. It was after a minute that it registered in his head. Caramel must have caught them kissing.
Avery walked away nevertheless and Caramel turned around to leave as well.
Grey hurried towards her before she would shut the carâs door.
âCaramel,â he called her slowly but she wouldnât look at him.
âIâm sorry I came uninvited. Iâm leaving already. Please, let me go.â Her voice was shaking.
Grey released an exasperated sigh. How could he handle two women in a day?
âCaramel_,â he started again but Caramel cut in quickly.
âI understand if you are trying to get back with her. I mean you guys were married before and_,â her voice trailed off. âIâm supposed to be happy at your reunion but__, âshe stopped abruptly as Grey pulled her out of the car suddenly.
Caramel was crying already.
Grey held her by the shoulders so that he could force her to face him.âCaramel, will you listen to me?â
Caramel sobbed quietly. âYou donât need to explain. Iâm ok with anything you decide on. I mean Iâm very selfish. Why would I want my friendâs husband? Iâm just so incorrigible. I donât know what came over me!â She cried the more.
Grey regarded her for a moment. âAvery is leaving the city,â he revealed and forced Caramel to look up at him.
âWhat?â She exclaimed softly.
âYes,â Grey nodded briefly. âShe came here to tell me a lot of things. And besides, wasnât I the one that asked you out? If I didnât love you, I wouldnât have. I do ok?â He assured her.
âAnd Avery?â
âI will not leave you for her,â he assured again before he pulled her into a hug.
Caramel felt secure and somehow believed his words.
