The Moore-Perez Family
The Rich And Not Spoiled: A Christmas Special
ð Lottie's POV ð
I lay in my wife's arms all morning as we talked about everything and nothing at the same time.
My hands fiddled with her fingers and her free hand ran through my hair, scratching my scalp every now and again, honestly putting me at ease.
This year, Stella and I decided we'd come back to England for Christmas. We're all spending it with my parents and her brother and his wife.
Rico is also here because somewhere along the way, he became part of our family and no longer was just our friend.
So we're staying in our old flat where Stella and I first lived together.
I never realized how much I missed this place until we were here. The memories we made in these four walls together, the life we dreamed of was now our reality together.
Thinking about it all made me emotional and all my wife could do was chuckle and hold me close.
But this Christmas is also special because it's the first time we get to have all our kids in the same space at the same time. It's also the twins and Noah's first time in England.
They've been enjoying what they can for the most of it now. It's been wet all week but they're making it work, especially with Jules's children, Evanna and Cecilia.
"What if we just do nothing today?" I asked my wife.
"Mi vida that's what we do every day." She smiled at me.
"No, I mean properly." I turned over to place my hands over her stomach and rested my head on top of my hands.
Stella's hands brushed strands of hair behind my ear and used her thumb to caress my cheek softly.
"How so?" She asked me.
"We'll send the kids off with my parents, you know how much they love them," I said and she smiled. "While you and I stay home and eat oats with cinnamon over the top and fruit, we curl up on the couch and do nothing," I explained. "An us day truly."
Stella thought about it for a moment. "Like we used to have all those years ago?" She asked me.
I nodded. "Minus the bedroom fun, I'm not sure we'd have enough time," I said and she laughed.
"Well," Stella smirked and I smacked her arm lightly. "Okay, okay." She said. "Well can definitely have a slow day, I think we'd way overdue a slow day's ways." She said and pressed a kiss to my cheek.
"We should get the kids ready then," I said and she agreed.
We got out of bed and made our way to the next room over where Noah was sleeping.
"Hi sunshine," I said to him as he rubbed his eyes to wake up.
"Hi Mommy," he smiled and stretched.
"We need to get up now, you're going to spend the day with Meme and Granddad," I said and he smiled widely.
"Really?" He asked.
"Mhmm," I nodded in response and he sprung out of bed.
"Okay!" She got excited.
"I can get him ready while you help the twins." My wife said and I smiled at her.
I pressed a kiss to her cheek as I left the room and made my way downstairs to the twin's room.
The two of them were already away and talking in bed. "You two are already up." I smiled at them.
"Yeah," Natalia said with a smile. "I want to go get cookies today, the really soft ones. Can we Mom?" She asked.
"That is up to you and your grandparents," I said. "You're spending the day with them today."
Emilia smiled widely and got all excited. "Yes!" She said. "I have the perfect thing for me and Granddad to do!" She said.
"Wait do we have to?" Natalia asked.
"Yes angel, you do," I said and she groaned.
"Okay you're being whiny for no reason, this is exciting because we can do anything today," Emilia said to her sister.
"Yeah, but I wanted to stay home and eat my cookies." Natalia groaned.
"I wish I could offer you that open baby, but I can't," I said.
Nat rolled her eyes and Emilia ignored her sister's antics. I helped them both pick out what they were going to wear today and then helped braid their hair for the day.
Once they were done, we all made our way to the kitchen and Stella made a simple breakfast for them all before they left and it was just my wife and I at home.
For the first time in a long time.
