Chapter 32
Accidental Amore
Moon received a call from Adolf. She said, "I've been calling you for a while, where have you been?"
"Don't shout. I was out of town, starting a new business. You said the café would do well? Since I make good coffee, that's what I'm doing."
Moon smiled and said, "Oh."
"The divorce papers have been signed, lawyers have been given, and the divorce is finalized. I talked to your lawyer, from now on, we won't be together."
"Adolf, I need to ask you something."
"Go ahead."
"What did you dislike about me? Why did you hate me so much?"
"I didn't hate you. I was just frustrated. My business wasn't going well. Was that all written!"
"You've changed! That's good."
"Sorry if I did something wrong."
"That's alright."
"By the way, where are you?"
Just then, Earth came in and said to Moon, "Do you know?"
Moon interrupted, "Not now! Wait, I'm talking to Adolf."
"That fucker? finally call you?"
"Don't speak like that, Earth. He was once my husband."
"And he was also a fucker, remember? What happened to you, Moon?" Earth said, and then left. Moon then realized. Earth was right. why is Adolf being so nice now? Making an expression, she said, "Hi, sorry, Adolf."
"You were telling me where you are now?"
"I'm right now..." Moon thought, "Why do you want to know?"
"I want to meet you one last time."
Moon smiled and said, "I missed you." She started to tear up.
Moon began recalling the times when she was happy with Adolf. She gave the address of a café and was about to leave to meet Adolf when Earth saw, "You're going out? Do you know it's dangerous?"
"No! Why would I be afraid of my husband?"
"Are you crazy? Sometimes you say you don't need anyone, and sometimes you become so irrational that you don't see anything?"
"Yes, because I'm missing him. I want to meet Adolf."
"But he's clever. If you want to meet him, he's definitely up to something. I'll come with you."
Earth sent a message that we were both going out to Payal, and Moon and Earth went to meet Adolf. They arrived a bit late at the café because they were arguing in the car. From the car, they could see the café from a distance. Earth didn't let Moon go. Adolf didn't show up.
Then Adolf called, "Are you there?"
"Yes, I'm here."
Adolf said with a laugh, "Goodbye."
After a short while, the sound of the café exploding was heard.
Moon hung up the phone. She looked at the sock and said, "Hurry up!" The driver sped away, and upon reaching home, Moon started screaming, "He's crazy." As soon as they got home, Moon went to her room and sat on the bed.
"Why does all this happen to me?" Moon was very scared. She was in a crying state as if she had just been attacked.
Earth said, "Calm down! Nothing happened. His plan failed. I think he might be the one who wants to kill Geet."
"That's possible. He's crazy!"
After a while, Jay run and Ranjeet, who had quickly put on shirts, arrived and asked, "What happened?" Payal came too.
Earth explained everything, and Payal said, "Geet is alone! Let's go and talk to her."
When they reached Geet, everyone said, "Moon!" I said.
Geet asked, "What?"
"Did you know? Adolf is behind all this," I asked.
"What are you saying? Who? Moon's ex-husband?" Geet asked.
"Are you joking? Tell me," I said.
"Yes! But why?" Geet replied.
Earth said, "He's planning to kill Moon. He doesn't know the address of the house, but he knows we're here. That crazy psycho will kill us all!"
Moon said, trembling, "Let's go somewhere else. It's over."
Geet said, "Calm down. Moon, why did you go outside?"
"I wanted to meet Adolf," Moon said.
"Why do you do this? Aren't you tired of his love?"
"I'm tired, but I still want you. Payal, I'll adjust with you? Actually, in Muslim culture, it's common," Moon said seriously.
I asked, "What's common? Geet having two wives? Common? What about our relationship? Moon and I? its worst idea!"
Geet said, "Fuck! Stop, guys. Moon! Look at me. I'm like Payal. That simple! That will never change. Your ex is your past. Forget him. You're trying to stay alone, but why? Give Earth a chance."
"Chance? Why? Earth and I can never be together." Moon replied
Ranjeet said in anger, "You guys have found a topic, blown up the café, and Moon is almost dead. What's happening here?"
Jay grabbed Ranjeet's face, "Is this good? Forget about fear. where are you bringing this up again? Let's go. But we can't always stay like this. Moon, tell the bloodsucker to kill Adolf."
Moon said, "What do you mean, he's so..."
Earth said, "Good? You and your love. Be with one of them first. How much love for toxic people? I'm also going. To hell with your love, I'm going."
Earth went to pack her things. I went after Earth and told her, "Earth, let it go. Don't be upset with me."
Moon came and made a call-in front of Earth. She told the bloodsucker to kill Adolf. Maybe he's the one who wants to kill Geet. She said, "He will confirm first. She doesn't usually kill anyone based on just assumption."
After that, when Moon hung up, she said, "I'll do whatever you want. Forgive me, Earth, I'm crazy. You know that."
Moon cried. Earth hugged her and said, "It's okay! You are fine! I'm sorry for being rude to you."
I left to give them some alone time and went to Geet. When I arrived there, Geet said, "Thank God Moon is feeling better."
I asked, "Why didn't you tell us that Adolf was a killer?"
"Because he wasn't, but he deserved to die."
"Then who is he? Why aren't you saying?"
"Close the door!"
"I was very young when my parents passed away. My uncle and aunt raised me. They were everything to me. Without them, nothing seemed good. But when I was 18, I found out that my uncle and aunt were discussing the wealth my father had, which was in my name, and they had made me sign for it while they were celebrating. I was very upset, but a few days later, I ran away from home. I managed everything on my own. But who knew that the person who caused the accident, who was after me, would be coming after me now? I don't know who he is, but he has been trying to kill me for a long time. This time, he almost succeeded. Earlier, he only teased me and called me, but now he has started trying to kill me. I've often wondered who killed my parents. I need to know. Then I calm myself down and say I need to stay away from all this. One day, I might lose you."
I asked, "Could it be your uncle?"
"I don't know, but it's possible! All this revenge and drama is great in movies, but I just want a normal life."
"Where is normal? Everything seems abnormal," I said.
"Payal, everything will be normal," she said, placing her hand on my cheek.
I smiled and said, "Your hand! You're still moving it!"
Geet looked at her hand and said, "See! You're lucky for me!"
Payal said, "Are you joking? Luck doesn't mean anything."
"It does! Otherwise, why would you call me?"
"Call me when?"
"That day! When you planned the fake lesbian act," Geet said, laughing.
"Yes, now I've become a real lesbian.....How did you know you were a lesbian?"
"I never knew anything. I just loved. I only realized later that love for boys was considered correct choice but love for girls was seen as a sin."
"Yes, in Hinduism, there is respect for all kinds of relationships!"
"Did you know that the Kama Sutra, written by Vatsyayana back in the 3rd century CE, talks about all kinds of sexual relationships, including same-sex ones? It shows that ancient Indian society was pretty open to different types of sexual practices."
"You've read that?" I asked in sock
Geet nodded shyly.
"Wow! I've been the Sanskari (conservative) one all my life."
"So, when are you going to stop being so Sanskari (conservative)? Are you going to try Kama Sutra?" Geet teased, I was giving a light tap on the lap, and then asked, "Is your leg broken?"
"Not necessary! I have enough strength for these types of work."
"Women will be women."
"Men will be men," Geet said, laughing.
"No, this is new! I created for you. By the way, did you know that in the Mahabharata, there's a character named Shikhandi who was born female but later becomes male? Shikhandi is a major player in the epic battle of Kurukshetra. It's a cool example of how gender roles and identities weren't so fixed back then."
"Wow, you know a lot. I thought you were a duffer."
"Not at all. I decided to write my own story. our story.. The world won't believe it! This is our story! I hope I write it well this time."
"You will definitely write it well. My prayers are with you. Whatever you write, don't make you look dumb. After all, you're real dumb." Geet said with a smile.
"I'll definitely show you as a playgirl, Kama Sutra!... you just want to read this nonsense."
"By the way, do you know this story where this deity, a composite of Shiva and Parvati, symbolizes the merging of masculine and feminine aspects? It shows that in Hinduism, the divine is often seen as a blend of both genders."
"Yes, this one everyone knows. Hinduism accepts all this. Still, in today's world, it's considered right to kill in the name of religion but wrong to love."
Geet said, "Enough with the Rani of Jhansi. Are you going to fight now? How much anger can you hold?"
"Okay, I guess I Will write my overthinking thoughts. I'll write all of that."
"Great! Who will read your overthinking? It will seem like garbage."
"Why are you making me angry?" I said in anger.
"Someone say a little salt is needed in kheer." Geet smiled
"What do you mean?" I asked in irritation.
"Sometimes you need to fight! Just love, love... it might even cause diabetes." She laughed.
"How do you even think like this? I don't understand any of it."
"Why understand? Look at me! Let's fight."
"Fake fight?" I asked, glaring.
"Yes, so what? What else should I do? Really find a topic to fight about?"
"Are you crazy?"
"Yes, a little," Geet said with a laugh.
"Who's asking for a fight?"
"Then don't fight. just let me try my Kama Sutra."
"Behave yourself! What are you saying? Aren't you a girl? Why don't you feel embarrassed?"
"What does being a girl have to do with it? Embarrassment comes to everyone. I have Kama Sutra thoughts with a lot of embarrassment."
"Control yourself, Emraan hashmi."
Geet laughed loudly.
"Your jokes!"
I watched her laugh. I know everything is normalâthis love is normal, this laughter is normal, this heart is normal. This time is normal. I was looking at Geet, smiling and losing myself in her eyes, thinking how wonderful it feels to gaze at someone.
"Where did you get lost, Payal?"
"Nothing! I just think you're wonderful. I love you... fuck! Fuck, fuck, what did I just say?" I covered my mouth, shocked.
"Ohhhhh, what did you say?"
"I'm sorry, that slipped out. I sometimes get carried away."
"Say it again," Geet said, as if she had a gun to my head.
"I didn't say anything," I said, covering my mouth.
"You said it, cheater. If you don't say it again, I won't talk to you."
What's with this stubbornness? I can't even say it, and she's putting me in this condition, which makes me even more scared. I'll try again... it's just three words. I kill you, fuck, what did I say? Let's try again. I fuck you... these are all wrong words, it's love... come on.
I'm sweating. it's very cold. I said, "Geet!"
"Hmm?"
"Geet."
"Speak up now."
"I Kama Sutra you."
"Huh?" Damn, it came out wrong again. Geet must be happy. Well, let it be. it's better this way. I'm not good at saying these three words anyway.
