Chapter 38

The moon asked with a smile,

"Did you two do it all?"

I replied, "Do what?"

Omkara laughed and said, "Moon, you know, these two have broken up. Why are you asking to rub salt in the wound?"

Earth added, "Anyway, there are no feelings, so what difference does it make?"

I stood up and started to leave. That's when I saw someone in a wheelchair going by. I thought about how my dad's health is often poor. My dad frequently cries as if there's a sadness in his eyes. His life is spent in a wheelchair. I don't know how Geet managed to handle the case. Ranjeet also supported her. Geet should have gone to jail. Ranjeet used his power and proved that someone else fired the gun. Geet deserves punishment. I controlled myself for so long, but now it's too much. She caused my dad's condition, and she should have been punished. Geet is here today, and now the revenge will begin. I came back and sat beside Geet.

Looking at Geet closely, I said, "Anyway, there are no feelings, so what does it matter?" I was quite close to her. Geet moved back and said, "Are you harassing me? Talk from a distance!"

Earth covered her mouth in shock. Someone offered Geet a drink. He was a nice guy. Geet looked at me and smiled smugly, like she was showing off. She was about to go dance with him. The blue and red lights of the club were making me angry. If Geet keeps ignoring me like this, I'll never be able to take my revenge. Her loose hair was so tempting to touch while she danced. I started drinking, taking shot after shot. After dancing, Geet came over and said,

"Competition?"

"Why not! There's no bigger drinker than me right now."

Both Payal and Geet were very drunk by the time their competition was over. Moon took both of them home. Earth and Moon put them in the same room.

Geet, eyes barely open from the intoxication, said, "You're a guy, so why do you look like Payal?"

Payal touched Geet's cheek and pinched her. "Who are you? A girl in my bed? I'm feeling dizzy."

Geet quickly said, "Ouch! Stop touching me, perverted boy."

"Shut up! Stop talking like Geet! Who do you think you are? I have a company too, money, everything!" Payal stood on the bed.

Geet pulled Payal's leg, causing her to fall, and Payal said, "Fuck!"

Geet said, "You still don't have love, Payal! Imaginary Payal."

"Are you... Geet, you're a dream."

"Yes, we are in dream," Both started laughing like crazy people. They touched each other's noses with their fingers and then pinched them.

Geet said, "Oh God, you're becoming just like me. Where did the old Payal go? The one who was shy, who didn't drink, who didn't chase money and wanted to be a writer? The girl who was so reserved?"

Tears started falling from Payal's eyes. "I can't find her either. I don't know why, but Geet has taken over my heart and mind. I can't even escape from this criminal. It's like a disease hanging around my neck." Hearing this, tears came into Geet's eyes too. She remembered all the times they shared when they first met. Geet kissed Payal where the tears had fallen. Payal looked at her, and it was like she found some relief from her pain. She started kissing Geet aggressively. Geet pulled away and said, "What are you blowing up like that for? I don't need CPR! I can breathe fine. You don't give it that fast."

Payal, still drunk and unable to see straight, said, "Right, CPR is given slowly. You tell me."

Payal lay down on the bed, and Geet sat on top of her. Just as she was about to kiss Payal, she took off her shirt. Slowly, Geet began to remove Payal's shirt too.

"Imaginary Geet! Is CPR done with clothes off too? New modern CPR?"

"No! I'm feeling ...Uummmm, my whole body is burning since you gave me CPR." Geet said in a drunken voice.

Payal replied, "Then take it off. My whole body has turned red. I needed something more...ummm... It's like this dream is giving me peaceful sleep. It feels like I haven't slept in years."

Payal's voice was filled with pain, and the pain was visible in her eyes. There was something deep there.

...The next morning, when I woke up, Moon came into the room and screamed. Earth came running, holding a cup of coffee, which spilled too. My head hurt. Everything was spinning. Geet woke up and saw me. She started screaming louder than Moon. I looked at myself and then hesitantly lifted the blanket, looking at Geet's body too. I was frozen in shock for a few seconds. Geet said, "How did this happen?"

Earth exclaimed, "You both are naked? What did you do last night? Do you remember?"

My throat was dry.
