Chapter 8: The Story
Send It To My Phone
Blake's Point of View
"Hey twin brother." Sophie said with a smirk. I stood their, gaping at her petite figure and her short brown hair. I still couldn't believe that she was still here. My mom must have fucked up to let here come. I wonder what she did.
"Soph." I said. She walked over to me and gave me a hug. It felt weird having my little sister here with me. We haven't been like this since the summer before junior year. My dad went on a business trip and he didn't trust me to stay home alone. So, I was shipped off to my mom's for the summer. This was when my life turned really bad.
"So big brother, are you going to help me?" Sophie said pulling away. I nodded. I reached for Asher's shoulder but he was already at her car. She opened the trunk and things started to fall out. It was mostly clothes and shoes, all packed in tightly. We eached grabbed a box and made the trek into the house.
"How have you been Asher?" Sophie asked him. We were in her plain white room. She was hanging things in her closet as Asher helped unpack things. I was sitting on her bed studying her.
She seemed different. Like happier different. Usually she was a snobby brat considering who she lives with. Now, she's super nice and timid. Something must of happened for her to change.
"Great. Keeping your brother the best I can out of trouble." Asher chuckled. I rolled my eyes. Please, i'm not trouble. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. I quickly slid it out and saw the name I have been missing. It was Kate.
sorry about not replying these last few weeks
I quickly typed an answer back. I was going to text her for as long possible. For some reason, I have missed her.
hey babe, i missed you
I texted back. I looked up to see my sister smiling at Asher. I frowned. They were getting too cozy for my liking. Before I could say anything to them, my phone buzzed.
oh really? i couldnt tell by the constant messaging(;
I chuckled, causing the other two people in the room to look at me.
"Whatcha doing brother?" Sophie asked. She had a small smirk on her face.
"Texting." I said. I looked down at my phone. I was about to reply when I felt my phone being ripped from my hands.
Sophie was holding it as she scrolled through the messages. Her smirk was growing even wider. Asher looked at her with confusion in his eyes.
"Give it back!" I shouted. I lunged at her but she only ran into her bathroom, locking the door behind her.
"Does my twin brother have a girlfriend?" She cooed from the other side of the door. I pounded on the door, hoping she'd open it.
"No." I said. I did not have a girlfriend. This girl barely even talks to me.
"Wait, you have a girl? This makes so much sense." Asher said in disbelief. I frowned. What is he talking about?
"Sophie!" I said ignoring Asher. She quickly unlocked the door and handed me my phone.
"You're welcome." She said sashaying out of the room. Asher raised an eyebrow, waiting for me to respond. I looked down at the phone and saw that she texted Kate.
i just miss hearing your voice and seeing your gorgeous face. let me take you out?
I stood there gaping. Had she really just asked out Kate? There is no way she's going to say yes. I've been trying to hook up with her for almost two months now. There's no way that she says yes only because my sister showed up in my life again. It's not possible.
"Did she text back?" Asher asked. I looked down at my phone, shaking my head.
"Nah. Come on, let's go shoot some zombies." I said to him. He studied me before nodding.
We walked out of my sister's room down to mine. I turned on the XBox plugging in the game. I could feel Asher's growing question.
"What Ash?" I asked feeling annoyed.
"Who is the girl?" He asked. I sighed. I want to know too.
"All I know is that her name is Kate and she's insanely gorgeous." I said remembering her face and body. I wanted to run my fingers through her hair and my hands all over her curves. I wanted to feel her in my arms again.
"Damn dude. You got it bad." Asher chuckled. I raised an eyebrow. What is he talking about? "Little Blake is excited."
I looked down and saw I had a boner. I groaned. I really needed to get laid.

Krissy's Point of View
Morgan was pacing my room. I was staring at the ceiling, ignoring her. I had no clue why she was so stressed. She wouldn't tell me. She dodged every question I asked.
I got back from my shift at the diner, a couple of hours after Blake left, to see her car parked outside. I quickly got out, ignoring the cold, and went inside. She was sitting at the counter in my kitchen, talking to my mom.
"Hey." I said to them. They turned to look at me. A huge smile was plastered on my mom's face while Morgan was smirking.
Okay, what is going on here? Did I miss something important?
"About time. Come on." Morgan said jumping out of her chair. She grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the room and up the stairs. She didn't stop until we were safely in my room.
"What is going on Morgan?" I asked her. I was out of breath from the quick trip. I took off my shoes and went into my closet. I slipped out of my outfit into a big t-shirt and shorts. I liked being comfortable when i'm doing homework.
"So, any news?" She asked. I groaned. She wasn't going to drop this topic, was she.
"No." I said. I reached for my backpack, taking out my homework.
"Text him." She stated. I dropped my math book. "Come on. Just one more time."
"Why?" I asked her. What could possibly occur from me texting him?
"Last time. Come on." She pleaded. I sighed. If it'll get her to leave me alone. I reached for my phone from my backpack and unlocked it. I clicked on the messages app and clicked the only other name that wasn't family.
sorry about not replying these last few weeks
I closed the phone and picked up my book. I turned to the correct page where all the math problems were listed. I grabbed my pencil, ready to begin, but heard a buzz instead.
hey babe, i missed you
I felt something stir within me as I read the screen. I knew I was never going to be his. Yet, the thought excited me. I wanted to enjoy whatever I could, even if that meant being someone I wasn't.
I looked up at Morgan. She was watching me with a smile. I showed her the text and she smirked.
"Flirt." She said laying back on my bed. She reached for the controller to my tv and turned it on. I looked down at my phone and texted back.
oh really? i couldnt tell by the constant messaging(;
I felt nervous as soon as I sent the text. Flirting was never in my nature. It was weird to think that this one boy was causing me to change.
"What did you say?" Morgan asked. I felt my cheeks redden as I showed her the message. "Krissy, are you flirting with him?"
"Um." I stuttered. I wanted to so badly deny it, but we both knew I was.
"What did he say?" She asked. I looked down at my phone and saw no response. I sighed. I knew it was too good to be true.
"Nothing." I said locking my phone. I tossed it to her and looked down at the current math problem. I wanted to finish all my homework yet my mind was still surrounded with thoughts of him. No matter what, Blake is stuck in my mind.
"Your phone buzzed." Morgan said in a teasing tone. I rolled my eyes and stuck my hand out for her to give me the device. She ignored me and opened the phone. "Oh my god."
"What?" I asked. I felt my heart beat start to race. Did he discover that i'm really Krissy?
"He just asked you out on a date!" Morgan screamed. I dropped my pencil.
Blake just asked me on a date? Me?!
I took the phone from her. I wanted to see the message for myself. I clicked on his name and saw just that.
i just miss hearing your voice and seeing your gorgeous face. let me take you out?
"Oh my god." I whispered. It was true. Blake Tyler just asked me, well Kate, on a date.
"Are you going to say yes?" Morgan asked. I shrugged. I wanted to say yes, but I knew I should say no.
"Can we talk about this tomorrow after the game? I invited Sophie over for a sleepover." I said to her. Morgan nodded with a smile before it turned into a frown.
"Evan Jennings is having a party after the game." She pouted. I sighed. I should have known better than to make plans on a Friday night.
"Go." I said to her. I closed my phone and picked up my pencil.
"Or Sophie and Kate could come too." She said. I turned around in my seat, smacking me with my ponytail.
"No." I said causing her to frown. "There is no way that I would be Kate again. No."
"Come on. He likes you." Morgan said. I shook my head.
"Besides, Sophie doesn't know i'm Kate." I said defending my position. She would definitely question my appearance and name change. That's why I invited her over. I wanted to tell her everything and get her opinion. Hopefully she sides with me and tells me to forget about Blake.
"The party doesn't start until 11 so you have plenty of time after the game to tell her." Morgan smirked. I groaned. She always found a loop hole.
"I'll go, if Sophie agrees with my fake persona. If she doesn't, Netflix it is." I said. Morgan thought about it before agreeing.
"Deal baby cakes."
-
The doorbell rang, signaling that someone was outside waiting. I sprinted to the door. Whoever it was, I didn't want them to freeze to death.
I opened the door, revealing Sophie in dark wash jeans, brown knee high boots, and a dark blue sweater that contrasted with her caramel locks.
"Hey. Come in." I said. She nodded. She shivered once she stepped foot into the house.
"I forgot how cold Hartford gets at night." She said rubbing her hands together.
"Yeah. It's only October. It's a real change from the August heat." I said to her. I led her into the kitchen. I was making hot chocolate when the door rang.
"Where's Morgan?" She asked sitting down at the counter. I turned around and set a mug in front of her. She smiled at me before taking a sip.
"Probably still at school. Adrianna, the cheer captain, keeps everyone after to scold them on what they messed up on. Did you go to the game?" I asked her. I went for a little bit before I got annoyed.
Blake was on the field, considering he's on the football team, and I felt like he was watching me. I knew I was being ridiculous, yet I felt like I wasn't. I tried to ignore him and look at someone else, but my vision always went back to him.
"Yeah. I had to be a supportive sister." She said. I smiled. I wonder who her brother was. I was about to ask but I heard the front door slam.
"God, it's so fucking cold outside!" Morgan said walking into the kitchen. "Hello friends."
"Hey Morgan. Want hot chocolate?" I offered. Morgan nodded enthusiastically. She was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans with nude pumps and a burgundy top. She must of took off her coat before walking into the room. Her hair was pin straight.
"So, have you told her?" Morgan asked. I shook my head as I poured her a mug of the chocolate deliciousness.
"Told me what?" Sophie asked. She watched me curiously.
"Remember the guy I was going to tell you about?" I asked her. Sophie nodded, her body perking up. "Well he's Asher's best friend."
"Blake Tyler?" Sophie asked. I nodded.
"You know him?" I asked. Sophie looked at Morgan before shrugging.
"Briefly. Now continue." Sophie said. So I did.
I told her about the first party I went to where I accidentally got drunk and how I ended up with his number. Morgan then filled her in on how she encouraged me to act like the crazy girl and go to yet another party.
"So Blake likes you?" Sophie asked. I shrugged. I wish I knew if I was more than just a hook up.
"He won't stop texting me. He flirts with me and asks to hangout but I don't want to keep being this fake persona, knowing that I may develop feelings for him." I sighed. There were bad things that may come from this but also good things. But the latter didn't seem as promising.
"What if he develops feelings for you?" Sophie asked. I shrugged.
"They would be for Kate not me." I said. There was no winning in this situation.
"I say keep being Kate. Find out what he truly wants and then you can decide what to do." Sophie said. This was what I was afraid of.
"Yes. I agree. Now get ready, we're going to that party." Morgan smirked causing me to groan.
"Party? I'm so down." Sophie said. Her eyes lit up in excitement.
"Fine. Help me turn into Kate." I sighed. They nodded, getting to work.

Blake's Point of View
I drove up in my Mercedes, parking my car in the driveway. I got out, hearing girls swoon. I smirked. This was exactly what I needed to get this girl out of my damn head. They'll be plenty of hot chicks to go around and then some.
"Blake! My man." Evan, one of the guys from the football team said when I walked inside the house.
Evan is one of the guys on the football team. His family is on the wealthier side of things. He throws parties all the time. Except mine are bigger and better.
"Hey Evan." I said giving him the bro hug.
"I saw Asher in the kitchen." He said before walking away towards a group of girls that just walked in. I continued my trek through the house, seeing everyone's eyes on me.
I walked into the kitchen, ignoring the numerous girls that threw themselves at me. I looked around and saw some of the guys. They were all laughing at something.
"Blake! Hey." Asher said when he glanced my way. I raised my lips into a smile before bringing them down to a smirk. I spotted my first victim. It was a brunette with long tan legs that were insinuated by the short black dress she had on. The black heels made her taller than she was. I walked over to her, ready to put on my game face. But I stopped, seeing my sister next to her.
What was she doing with this brunette? Had she already made friends? I didn't see her at all today during school. I even offered her a spot at my table, but she declined. I guess she did make friends. But, I wonder how she did it so quickly. I walked back towards Asher, not wanting to see my sister. It was still weird having her in the same city.
"What's wrong?" Asher asked. I ignored his question and reached for a beer from an ice chest. I took the cap off, downing half.
"I saw my sister. Still weird having her here." I told him.
"Wait bro. You have a sister?" One of the guys on the team asked. I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Stay away from her." I said feeling my anger rise. I didn't want some idiot corrupting her, even if it was a close friend.
"Dude. It was a simple question." The same guy said turning to another guy. I rolled my eyes. Yeah sure.
"Where?" Asher asked. I tilted my head. Why did he care where my sister was? I still haven't asked him about the other day in her room.
"Over there with some hot brunette." I said looking over my shoulder. I looked at my sister, my gaze faltering at who she was with.
It was Kate.
