Chapter 372: Happiness Can't Only Depend on Waiting
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
"What on earth do you want?â Chloe was a little frustrated.
Aoba was cheeky to the end as he said, âUnless you let me be your boyfriend now, your husband in
the future, and the only man in your life from now on.â
The Hoyle's men were very possessive of their beloved women.
âYou're simply a bandit.â
âI've played as gangster before. A bandit can add more fun.â His fingers gently rubbed her face.
"You..." Chloe couldn't say what she wanted to say. Why did some words sounded different in his
mouth?
There seemed to be more than one or two faint voices and footsteps in the corridor as if they were
approaching. Aoba drew close to her face and smiled. He said, âStop stuttering. Life is too short. You
shouldn't waste it. If you don't agree, I will kiss you here until you agree.â
He knew that although this woman looked tough on the surface, she actually had a fragile heart.
She looked fearless at the sky, but she was actually as timid as a mouse sometimes.
Chloe didnât want to perform a kiss show in front of people. Seeing that his lips were getting closer
shamelessly, she hurriedly blocked him with her hand. She glared at him, âYou have to give me
some time to think.â
The best thing to do now was to quit.
But how could Aoba fail to see the scheme in her mind? âWoman, you gave me a perfunctory again.
So many days have passed and they're not enough for you to think?â
She said that he wasn't allowed to disturb her for a week, so he resisted not showing up in front of
her. He clearly missed her, but he didn't dare to make a phone call, not even sending a text
message, fearing it would anger her. When did Aoba Hoyle have ever been afraid of a woman? But
he was afraid of her. He was afraid that she would ignore her, afraid that she would really pull him
into the blacklist.
The accusing stare made Chloe felt guilty as she turned her head. âIsn't the seventh day hasn't
arrived yet?â
It turned out that she was just an ostrich. Even her excuse was so bad. She began to despise herself.
âLittle fish, do you think by adding one more day and lessening one day will make me want to let go
of you?â His voice fell against her ear low and heavy. âTomorrow night, I'll wait for you upstairs. No
more than twelve o'clock, or I will go downstairs and kidnap someone. You donât want me to make
the Steele restless in the middle of the night, right?â
Chloe's eyes rounded and looked at him with hate, âAre you threatening me?â
Aoba innocently said, âI wouldn't dare. I just felt that love must be deep, heart must be hardened,
and happiness canât only depend on waiting.â
Men in the Hoyle were obsessed with love once they were fixed.
He finally let go of her. He had waited for six days, what was there to be afraid of waiting for one
more day? No matter what her final decision was. He wanted her.
Chloe felt like she had fallen into a net he spread out. She wanted to break free, but the net turned
tighter and tighter, trapping her in it.
When she left the hospital, she was repeatedly asking herself. Were the angry words that she said to
the old witch were just some angry words?
She suddenly realized that she had lost her confidence when she confronted him at the beginning.
And she felt a little guilty.
The taxi driver look at her weirdly who was sitting on the back seat like a mad person. âMiss, what's
the matter?â
Chloe just realized that she was being weird, ruffling her own hair until her hair looked like a bird's
nest.
Stupid kid. Annoying brat. He disturbed her heart, messed up her soul. She really wanted to slap
herself in the face. An evil troublemaker.
While in the hospital, Alan returned to Olive's side. His wife still obediently sat there waiting for him.
Her sweat-soaked hair was air-dried at this moment and her bangs were scattered on her forehead
with a few strands covering her eyes.
Didn't know where such impressive strength came from her thin body and was able to carry his
mom, crossing the hundreds of meters of bridge crowded with people and vehicles. He felt really
sorry for her. The silly girl had to be exhausted as her eyelids were drooping.
However, when she heard footsteps, she raised her head and looked at him. Her eyes were flashed
with bright colors and the smile on her lips was revealed, warming his heart just like that.
He walked to her and embraced her. âDoes it hurt?â
âIt's fine. Just a little sore on my legs and waist.â It felt like she had just run a 10 thousand meter
long run. Her whole body seemed to fall apart.
He kneaded her legs and squeezed her waist. His movements were gentle and appropriate. Olive
closed her eyes comfortably, and leaned deeper into his arms.
âBetter?â
âYup!â she replied in a low voice. And suddenly she felt as if she was leaping into the air. She was so
frightened that she hugged his neck, like a slot, hugging him tightly.
Alan looked at her and smiled. âLet's go home and sleep.â
"I can take a taxi and go back by myself. You'd better go to your mother.â No matter how bad her
relationship was with Mrs. Hoyle, a patient was still more important.
âIt's okay. Aoba is there.â He would rather she was a bit selfish and be not be so reasonable. To have
such a wife was a blessing from him in his life.
Being carried all the way out of the hospital had attracted a lot of eyes. Olive calmly leaned in his
arms and looked up at him. Her man was really good-looking. The young nurses were all secretly
talking about him.
He put her in the car carefully and fastened her seatbelt. When passing a shoe store, he went in and
bought her a pair of soft cloth shoes.
Olive had small feet and wore size 36, but the pair he bought was size 37.
âIt looks a bit big.â
Alan chuckled and said, âYou don't see your pig feet swell like that? It will squeeze in your wound if
it's not bigger. Is it comfortable? You've heard what the nurse said. Don't touch the ground much
these past few days. I bought this shoes for you only for not wanting your feet felt cold. You don't
need to wear this.â
In April, although the cold was gone, but the chill was still there. He was being thorough of her in
every possible way.
Olive leaned her head on his shoulder, and softly said, âHoney, you make me rely on you more and
more. What should I do?â
âDo you still want to leave?â Alan snorted, expressing his dissatisfaction. He was her man. Wasn't he
for her to rely on? And she still said such stranger words. She really deserved to be beaten.
âI donât want to.â She chuckled, stretching out her hands to hug his waist. âI will rely on you for the
rest of my life.â
âThat's just about right.â His big palm gently fell on top of her hair and stroked it.
When the car arrived at their neighborhood, he carried her home. There was no one at home. The
windows were bright and clean. It was quiet.
He gently put her down on the couch. âSit here for a moment. I'll get a basin of water and wash
your face.â
She grabbed him by the hem. âI want to take a shower.â
âThe nurse said your feet shouldn't be in touch with water for two days.â
âThen won't I be stinky?â Her body was sweaty and stuck to her clothes. It was really uncomfortable.
She shook her hand and pleaded pitifully, acting cute. âOkay, okay. I take a shower but I won't clean
my legs. I'll be very very careful not to let my feet touch water.â
Alan couldn't win against her and reluctantly agreed. His hand reached out to flick her nose lightly.
âYou. I can't do anything with you. Wait here. I'll turn on the water.â
Olive laughed happily, watching him enter the bathroom. Soon, she heard the sound of water
gurgling.
The bathtub at home wasn't big and could only fit in one person. The water was soon filled. He
walked out and carried her in. He put her on a chair first and reached out to undress her.
âI'll do it myself.â
"We're married. What's there to be shy of?â
âI'm not. I'm afraid someone will come home,â she quietly muttered. Even though they were a family
member, she would still be shy.
