Chapter 28

The stars were twinkling and Riddhima stood near the window quietly . Advait walked upto Pihu," I have arranged the lawyer but he says he can't do anything without proofs.",

"How can they charge murder for a living person.",Pihu asked.

"He is dead according to police records .", Advait exclaimed.

Riddhima walked up to her,

"Tommorow I will go to visit Kabir , Anyhow if I get his fingerprints we can open his locker and then.....".

Advait nodded but Pihu stood up , "This is not that easy , ok.", Riddhima looked at her and walked to the room, Pihu looked at Advait who also left . She stood there blank , what can they be practical ever.

The night passed and the sun rays felled on the ground piercing the dark clouds , the even more dark day has covered yesterday but probably it's work of the morning to bring new hope .

"Are you sure about it?" , Pihu questioned as Riddhima sat into the cab.

"Tommorow is the hearing and I can't loose him.", Riddhima turned away from Pihu.She was unpredictable nowadays , only she knew what all was going in her mind.

The car stopped before the mansion and Riddhima got out. In no case Kabir should sense anything was wrong , she is ok , she is fine , calming herself she slowly walked in and the servant asked her to take the seat.

Sitting there she felt as if everything has faded , she could feel that unusual joy which held her all this time , how these thoughts come up; she felt  absence affects.

Kabir came down with a broad grin on his face and sat beside her. He forced a smile at her.

"You called me yesterday..... For that case study? " , Riddhima spoke.

"Yes for that also....."

"Also?" Riddhima interupted.

" Yeah , but before that why Aryan called you yesterday...." ,

Riddhima was still , she looked at him , this just slipped off her mind . She blinked.

"Ye.... Yeah ..... I mean I visited them regarding the case study.."

"Ohh" ,Kabir nodded.

"Why..." ,Riddhima raised an eyebrow.

"Nothing even I was looking for him , after that incident I never met him so...",

Riddhima nodded looking at him .

"Vansh got arrested yesterday ", Kabir spoke with a sad face.

"It was written in the newspaper that he attacked her sister.",

Riddhima looked at him in rage.

"What....", She said dramatically.

"Yes", Kabir nodded sadly.

Riddhima looked at his cunning face.He handed her the newspaper. She looked at it then at him .

"It's sad." She spoke.

Taking the paper from her hand , he moved closer to her , caressing down his cheeks , he held her wrist.

"What?", She backed at this sudden move.

"Are you ill.", Taking off his hand from herself she denied.

"You look so",

"Tired maybe".

She turned away and took up the paper again ,"Tommorow is the first hearing of the case ..." Riddhima read out .

Kabir looked at it in disinterest.

"He will be proven guilty,  after all this crime he won't be able to escape and Karma you know."

Kabir spoke.

"Yeah offcourse",Riddhima stood up .

"Won't you hear the main thing for which I called you."

Riddhima looked at him.

"Yeah that also.... I remember."

Kabir stood up .

"Actually I wanted to invite you for a dinner tonight...." Riddhima looked at him.

"Please don't deny",

"But tommorow is the hearing so ......" , Riddhima was about to decline the offer when a servant interupted , Kabir looked at him in frustration , handing him the phone the servant disappeared,

"A minute dear ", Kabir walked to side. Riddhima examined him , his restlessness showed , it wasn't a normal phone call. And in the whole conversation the only word she could interpret was ,"Tonight".

Riddhima looked as he kept the phone and walked up to her,

"You were saying something..",

"No.... Actually yes sure...... How can I decline a dinner with you.",

Kabir smiled and Riddhima left the mansion before he could express his happiness. The door bell rang and Pihu opened the door, Riddhima came in and sat down.

"Why he called you?",

"He had invited me for a dinner tonight ", Pihu sat down in frustration." Dinner ...... why I feel like stabbing him every now and then .....", Pihu looked up at her. She was in some thinking.

"Riddhi....",

"Probably there is something more tonight....",

"And what's that?",

"I don't know but there is something..... You said no he can't have a perfect fate everytime ",

"It mean you will go.",

"I have to...",

Pihu sat beside her , ok but this felt so easy that is what giving her unsure vibes.

"Let's go to Vansh", Riddhima stood up.

"Advait went to the police station but the application was denied we can't visit Vansh till tommorow hearing".

Pihu spoke.

"Ok, now we will meet him when he will return home tommorow...",

"Hope everything goes with the plan."

"It will..." , Riddhima walked to her room , although all this was happening on its own but still she didn't let any corner of her mind loose hope.

It was twilight and Advait opened the door of the cab.

"Here is the necklace, be very careful about it..............Pihu today in no case you should leave Riddhima alone."

Pihu nodded and both the girls sat in while the car rushed to the mansion.

Snaking the necklace round her neck , Riddhima took a deep breath, The door opened and they both walked in.

Kabir came down rushing,

"Too early for a dinner ..." He smiled.

"Ma'am was so excited for the dinner that she could wait till night ."

Pihu exclaimed.

Kabir looked at Riddhima with a smirk,

"So give me few minutes ladies", Saying this he went up stairs.

Riddhima sat on the couch , looking at the empty study , his tonight event has yet not started.

Kabir came down and streched a hand to Riddhima. Riddhima looked at him and held his hand. They both walked to the garden.

"Is she going to accompany you inside too." Kabir pointed at Pihu

Riddhima turned and looked at her,

"No sir, I am outside only." Pihu said hiding her frustration.

Kabir walked in with Riddhima.

Making her sit , he poured the glass of wine and handed it to her.

He took a sip and looked at her.

"You don't like wine.",

"I don't drink actually...", Riddhima smiled.

"No worries..... servant." , The servant came rushing in .

"Take away this wine and bring on the other stuffs."

Riddhima looked as the servant went and then came in with the trolley loaded with the lavish dinner  . Riddhima looked at Kabir hiding her disgust.

The music was on. And the dinner started.

"So what else do you do other than your case studies."

Kabir asked taking up the spoon.

"Nothing much case studies don't allow me to do anything else there is no time left you know."

Kabir nodded and siped the water. He stood up and went to Riddhima,  stretching his hands for a dance .

Riddhima held it hesitantly and he pulled her near him. Holding her waist , they tapped to the beats as the music progressed ,

Riddhima smiled hiding her disgust awaiting for the proofs but it looked as if she have to bear this more .

Kabir twirled her , caressing down her back slowly, he moved forward and now his face was too close for her to bear. She stepped back. He looked as she shrieked away , the smile on his face again turned into a smirk , pulling her closest to himself, he held her waist and the music further progressed while she closed her eyes to escape some of this ...

Riddhima could feel herself shrinking in disgust but this was of no use , neither she can step back nor she can stand there.

He looked at her eyes and tucked her the fluttering latches of her hair behind and...

"Sir , he is here." Kabir turned at the frustrating interuption and Riddhima took a deep breath.

"Ok.......", He turned to Riddhima .

"I will return in a while."

Riddhima smiled and he left.

Riddhima observed as he turn from the door , she knew where he would go , walking up to the door , she signalled Pihu and stepped towards the study.
