Ye Zhi sat back in her seat. She was not in a hurry to take out her gift. Instead, she talked to Gu Ren.

“I have something that needs your cooperation.”

Ye Zhi didn’t directly give Gu Ren the 10 million but bought several small gifts for him. She was going to give him something of very low value first and then keep a close eye on him to see if he would have an accident.

Last time, she used Gu Ren’s money to buy a car for him but this time she was going to use her own money so it might have a different result.

Gu Ren was free today so it was an idle day for experiments, but she didn’t know if Gu Ren was willing or not.

Ye Zhi was organising her thoughts before telling her plan.

Unexpectedly, Gu Ren simply looked at her and agreed.

“Sure.”

Gu Ren’s attitude was calm, but that made Ye Zhi even more stunned. Gu Ren didn’t even know what she wanted to say and he just straight away agreed?

Gu Ren’s words were brief without hesitation.

“Tell me what I need to do.”

Ye Zhi was very satisfied with Gu Ren’s attitude and began to feel confident about what would happen next. She took out the gift box from behind her and placed it in front of Gu Ren.

“I’ve bought a gift for you. I’ll accompany you for a few days to keep an eye on you. Let’s test whether there will be an accident.”

Ye Zhi had already confirmed with Gu Ren’s agent that he was free for a few days and did not need to go out.

Gu Ren’s gaze fell on the small gift box. After opening it, he found a cufflink with a unique design. He just happened to be wearing a shirt today.
