After Sheng Man left the Sheng mansion, she had nowhere to go but Sheng Lian’s house. As soon as she entered the room, she saw Sheng Bang sitting on the sofa with his legs crossed as he watched TV idly.

Sheng Man was enraged. She paced towards him and gave Sheng Bang a good slap in the face. The force of her hand was so heavy that it practically shocked him momentarily.

Once Sheng Bang realised that he was slapped by Sheng Man, he abruptly became irritated, “What are you doing?”

The tears that Sheng Man held back the entire time finally flowed out, “I’m finished! Everything I have is gone—the mansion, the money and the future inheritance of the Sheng family are all gone! And it’s all because of you! Otherwise, how could I have fallen into such a dire position?!”

Sheng Bang was already dumbfounded from the slap, but he immediately sneered, “I heard that you also have your fair share of wrongdoings. If you just played the role of the daughter of the Sheng family obediently and didn’t try to harm every person you came across, would Nie Jiqing push us to the point of no return?”

Sheng Lian just came back as well as he learned that the Sheng family had held a press conference. There, Nie Jiqing announced that Sheng Man was the adopted daughter of the Sheng family and even made it known to the public that every single item of theirs was going to be rescinded.

Faced with an unexpected situation in an unprepared state, there was no room for recovery.

Sheng Lian’s facial expressions became sullen and when he got home, he saw Sheng Man and Sheng Bang arguing hysterically, blaming each other for the state that they were in.

From the quarrel, Sheng Lian knew that Sheng Man had already moved out of the Sheng family’s mansion in Beijing and her card was already frozen.

For the sake of maintaining her image, Sheng Man intended to never let Sheng Lian know about the escalating matter. Her intentions were to handle the matter by herself and cover it up as if it never happened before.

Sheng Lian raised the volume of his voice to stop the argument, “Stop quarrelling, the Sheng family probably only wanted to give us a warning; things haven’t reached the worst point yet.”

The argument ceased along with his words.

Sheng Man glanced at Sheng Lian and Sheng Bang. She had completely lost her composure, making her following words entirely ridiculous to even be spoken out loud.

“It’s obviously because you two didn’t know how to restrain yourselves; that was what made the Sheng family this angry. But why was my mansion and my money taken away, yet both of you are still thriving in the Sheng’s company?”

As soon as her words were spoken, Sheng Lian and Sheng Bang’s mobile phones rang at the same time. They answered their phones but the voice on the other end of the line made them stunned.

“From tomorrow onwards, you will no longer work in the company.”

The voice was cold as it was relayed without emotion— as if it was a mechanical voice. After being notified, their phones hung up without waiting for both men to respond.

Sheng Man looked at the faces of the two that depicted pure contempt and she had a bad feeling in her heart.

“What’s wrong?”

Sheng Bang, “Are you satisfied now? What a jinx. I was just fired by the Sheng family, so there is nothing left for me either.”

Sheng Lian was silent for a moment and his voice was a little tight when he spoke again.

“My position was also removed.”
