Better Man

Lily's POV

Tomorrow is the day.

I'm sad of course but I'm focusing on the positive. My baby boy is becoming into a brave man. His flight leaves at tomorrow at 6:00 a.m so I'm going to stay the night with him and take him with his mom.

Hunter wanted to have a dinner with everyone before he leaves which I think is a good idea. I decided to wear a black dress with gold buttons and my hair down. Nothing to fancy.

Hunter invited my family, his family, Mia and Will, and of course Christian.  I packed some pajamas and another outfit so when I have to get ready in the morning. The dinner was going to be at my house. It was my mom's decision and Megan didn't mind.  It starts at 7:00 and its currently 6:10. Once I was done applying mascara and some lipstick, I went downstairs to help my mom set up.

I walked past Belle's room and saw her putting on her shoes. She looked good! She has on a maroon dress on the shoulders type of thing you know what I mean. She was straightening her hair. I walked in and plopped down on her bed but being careful so I wouldn't mess my dress up.

"Hey sister."

She put the flat iron down and turned towards me. " Damn, you look good girl. Too bad the dress won't be on for that long."

I threw a pillow at her, "Shut up!"

She laughed, "I'm being honest, you know that once Hunter sees you, game over."

I smirked, " I mean you got a point."

" Nasty!."

I laughed and stood up, " Okay, I'm going to help mom, we all  know she might be freaking out right now."

Belle chuckled, " Got that right."

I helped my mom prepare everything and I was sitting in the living room just thinking how life is going to be without Hunter being here. Who knew we would be together? I sure as hell didn't. I am really trying to be the supportive girlfriend because I know Hunter is stressing out as well but god, I am hurting.

I heard the doorbell ring and I already knew who it was. Hunter and his family because if it was Will or Mia, they would of walked in.

" I got it!"

I opened the door and I immediately saw flowers. I looked down and saw  Cole holding roses. I then looked at Hunter who was looking fine as ever.

" Hi Lily!, these are for your mom."

I smiled, " Come in."

They came in the house and my mom walked in, "Hey guys!"

I walked up to Megan and gave her a hug. " Hey, Mrs. Moore."

She frowned, " Now Lily, how many times do I have to tell you, call me Megan. If you made my son happy, we are on first names basis."

I chuckled, "Yes Megan."

My mom laughed, " Now Megan, would you like to help with the deserts I need to bring out and Cole are those for me?"

Cole jumped up and down, " Yes."

" Would you like to come with us and put them in water?"

Cole nodded and I knew what my mom was doing. I looked at her and she just shrugged.

They walked out of the room and I finally got the chance to look at him. I turned towards him and he was looking at the pictures on the wall. He had one a brown jacket, with a white shirt and blue jeans. His hair was swooped back unlike his messy hair but he looked good.

I grabbed his hand, "Hey."

He turned around and smiled but it seemed like it wasn't real, " Hey baby."

I kissed him and I felt his hand go behind my back and he swooped me in.

" What's wrong."

He shrugged, " nothing."

I knew him like the back of my hand, " Hunter."

He sighed, " Baby, I'm scared. Like I know I want this but it was like you said when I told you, what if I die? What if I can never come back and see everybody? What if I can't come back and have our 4 kids?"

What the hell? 4 kids?

I put my hand on his shoulder, " Baby I love you but 4 kids? Not coming out of me. And stop with the what if's. If worst comes to worst, you know what people will remember you by?"

He shrugged, " What?"

" A brave ass hero. Who kicked these peoples butt's and risked his own life to save others."

A tear slid down his cheek and I immediately pulled him in for a hug, " It's okay."

We just stayed there but I'm glad he got a chance to let it out and talked to me.

After a few minutes, he pulled back, " Thank you Princess."

I wiped his cheek and smiled, " Of course."

He looked me up and down and start to do that big goofy grin, "What?"

He shrugged, " Oh nothing. You just look beautiful."

" Thank you."

" Aren't you staying at my house tonight?"

I nodded, " Yes I am, problem?"

He smirked and went to my ear, " Oh no. But you might, especially after the fifth round."

OMG!

I slapped his arm, " Shut up! Is that all you think about?"

He tapped his chin like he was thinking and then looked at me, "Yeah, pretty much."

The doorbell rung and I went to go get it.

It was Christian. He had on a whole tux, like he was going to somewhere fancy. His hair was slicked back.

"Hey beautiful."

" Hello Christian, come in."

He saw Hunter, " Ew. Why are you here?"

Hunter gave him the finger, " Dummy, its my party."

" So why are you dressed like that?"

Hunter scoffed, " Why are you dressed like you are about to go on the red carpet."

Christian flipped his imaginary hair, " Don't hate."

Glad to say, I walked off and I can hear them both bickering but then after awhile they turned it to a hug and laughter.  That was a good sound.

We were all currently eating and just taking, good times. Hunter was sitting on the left of me, and Mia was on my right. Megan, my mom and dad were talking about a promotion Megan had gotten. Christian was sitting next to Will, and him  and Cole were arguing about which ice cream flavor is better reminding me of the time we went to Scoops and they were debating on which super hero is better. God the time did fly.

"So when is the wedding?"

That was Mia.

I rolled my eyes, " Mia shut up."

Hunter chuckled, " I would say, in about a year, sound good babe?"

I sighed, "No."

He reached over me, " Mia, I would say start planning some things because it's happening."

" Whats happening?" Will asked.

" Our wedding."

I just sat there.

Will grinned, " Oh hell yes, bitch. You know Im going to get it lit."

"Will language." My mom was the one who said that.

"Sorry Ma."

She nodded and they kept talking.

Christian clapped his hands, " Let me know."

"Hunter, let me know, and I am there."

Hunter nodded his head, " Of course but now I guess I have to give a stupid speech."

I shook my head, " Hey, its not stupid, we did this party for you. Let them know how you are appreciative of them."

He nodded and stood up.

" Excuse me, can I have your attention."

Everyone stopped and looked at him.

" So, first I would like to say thank you to the Montez's for throwing me this dinner at your home and allowing my family to be here. I just want to tell everyone how thankful I am for you guys. Through the bad times, like when everyone wanted to beat me up. Or through the good ones, like now."

I could see in his eyes, they were becoming teary. I grabbed his hand and he looked down and smiled.

" Mia, thanks for being there for me when I was too scared to get my girl. Whenever you need me, I will be there."

She laughed, " Someone had to do it."

" Will. Will. Will, thanks for making my life crazy and always putting a mile on my face and to answer your question from a while back, yes, you can change my name in your phone to baby daddy."

Will screamed, " Are you serious?!"

We all laughed and Will grabbed out his phone.

"To all the parents, thanks for having my back and I love you all, Oh and mom I love you so much and for thank you for  making me be a better man and without you, I couldn't be who I am today."

Megan was crying and my parents were tearing up, this boy made a impact on everyone's lives.

" Christian, you truly are my best friend even though you get on my nerves. You were always there for me, always made me laugh, It was fun spilling the tea, and I can say so much, but  I love you."

Christian smiled and grabbed a box of tissue, from where I don't know. He was crying.

" What about me brother?"

Everyone looked at Cole and couldn't help but laugh, he had chocolate all over his face from the brownie he had.

" Jeez Cole, you were next."

Cole sat back, " Okay go ahead, I am listening."

" Cole, my sour patch brother. You were the first person who I can truly say made me see life in a different view. Even as a little baby, I would talk to you like you can understand what I was saying. You are my best friend and I am glad to have you in my life. And i have something for you."

Hunter pulled out a gold chain that had a baseball charm on it.

" Dad gave this to me when I was around your age and now I am giving it to you."

Cole smiled, " Thank you brother."

Hunter put it on him, "Look mama."

Megan was in tears, " I see baby."

Cole wiped the tears that were falling down, " Don't cry, It's easy to take his place you know. And I can take his room now."

Megan laughed, " Yes you can."

Oh god, its my turn.

Hunter looked at me and I felt like it was only me and him in the room.

" Princess,  god I don't know where to start. You are my light, my love, my soulmate. Princess, I didn't see my life going like this, with you in it, but everything happens for a reason. There is so much I want to say, but we would be here for years. I love you and I just want you too know from the bottom of my heart, that you made me a better person and for that, I am so grateful. I love you Lilyanna Luciana Jacklyn Montez."

I was crying now and he got on his knees since he was standing and hugged me.

" I love you Hunter Moore."

WOWWWWWW! first off I just want to say I knew this chapter is long overdue but I got it out there.

SO the book is done with ( somewhat)........ Im crying right now, I feel like I have grown with the book.

We do have the epilogue so that would be nice or is it????

Am I that evil.
