Chapter 161
Fated For Lycan's Luna
Chloe
Everyone looked at our direction, frozen in place.
âChloe!â After announcing my presence, it was Caleb who broke the silence in the hall.
His attention immediately shifted to me as he automatically ignored Idris and Arthur while he
rushed at me to see my condition.
"Are you alright? You are not hurt aren't you?â With worry washing over him, Caleb looked at me as
he looked at Blake with vigilance.
âYou... What did you do to her?! How dare you lay your hands on our Alpha!â The hostility in Caleb's
eyes were apparent as his body stood in a defensive stance as if ready to take on Blake at any time.
The tension started to rise up once more but Blake only stood still and did not react to Caleb's
provocation.
âCaleb, I'm fine, and calm down. He did not do anything and we have already reached an
agreement.â Not wanting for the hostility to cause another chaos once more, I immediately held
back Caleb from approaching Blake any further.
"Wait, what? Did this person pressure you to come into agreement with him?â Not expecting my
words, Caleb's eyes widened in shock as he looked at me and Blake back and forth.
âHey! Who are you to question your Alpha? Tsk! If I were you, you should stay quiet and just accept
your Alpha's decision! It's not your business to question their matters...â Idris who was now walking
back slowly on Blake's side nonchalantly said.
His words made Caleb annoyed but seeing that Idris is right, he finally took a step back with great
unwillingness.
"Still, you did something to hurt my people...â Knowing that the way everything happened earlier
was not something that would bring harmony to the upcoming alliance, I looked at Blake and acted
as normally as possible.
Meeting his calm unwavering gaze Blake gave a soft nod as he replied, âApologies for doing such a
drastic measure. Rest assured that they were not injured in any way and we have no intention to
hurt anyone. I'll have my people here wake them up.â
With that Arthur and Idris immediately moved to wake everyone up with Caleb assisting the
members who woke up in confusion.
The moment everyone was awake I informed everyone of my decision to join Blake's hands. I saw
the shocked and unwilling faces of the people around, except for Vanessa and the rest who kind of
already expected this outcome during the banquet incident.
To ease the situation I turned Blake, Arthur and Idris and demanded, âFrost Fang Alpha, although I
have already agreed to the alliance, it is indeed an inconvenience that an incident happened in our
own territory. I hope you are ready to give us a satisfying answer...â
The moment I mentioned that, the members of the pack somehow eased a little bit, but their
expressions still looked untrusting toward Blake and the rest until they saw him nod once more.
âWe'll be back in two days time and bring you our compensation. Of course, we will also give you
time to think about your terms in this alliance.â
Blake's words successfully eased up the tension of the hall to my relief.
Just like that, the farce ended at last, but Caleb and the rest were still surprised about the things that
happened.
Seeing that their presence was no longer in the territory, I addressed the crowd once more and
briefly explained my decision. âThe alliance will only be successful if we know what both parties can
offer. As such, we have to prepare for the coming days to see where we can position ourselves.â
After dismissing the crowd, Caleb, Vanessa and Allan followed me to my office to know more about
the situation.
âChloe, tell me what happened when he took you away??" Vanessa asked with a curious and anxious
expression.
"What made you decide to accept working with them?â Caleb and Allan also looked, their faces
were filled with worry as well.
âNothing... he took me to a place spacious enough to show his powers, probably to not hurt
anyone. In the end, his intention is to show that even at the extent of his powers, Alpha Kain is still
stronger.â Preparing for this situation, I immediately told them the lies I cooked up from the half
truths.
âFor real?! That Alpha Kain is even stronger than the... Frost Fang Pack Alpha?â Vanessa was so
shocked at my words and almost spilled Blake's other identity. Fortunately, she realized this at my
gaze before everything was too late.
âIs Alpha Kain really that strong? Do we really stand no chance against him as well?â Caleb did not
seem to notice anything wrong but was instead focussed on his own doubts.
âCaleb, if you only have seen... We stood no chance when we were already in front of him...â Allan
patted Caleb's shoulder and explained. âIn fact, if not for the Frost Fang Pack's intervention, we may
have had to use force to fight our way out in that banquet back then.â
âIt is as Allan said, Caleb. We cannot do this alone, we still lack strength even if we all use our poison
skills. Alpha Kain is a person who could kill us even before we are able to take out our poison and
throw it at him.â I continued.
Convinced with the explanation, Caleb nodded and gestured that he finally understood.
We spent our next days convincing the other members of the pack as well while also preparing for
everything we needed for the upcoming meeting.
The set meeting day has finally arrived and our pack welcomed Blake who brought more members
from his pack.
"Greeting my friends from the Red Moon Pack...â They all cordially said in unison to which our side
reciprocated as well.
Arriving to the meeting hall, Blake immediately gestured his comrades to take out the
compensation he promised,
âI know that we are at fault for causing a ruckus last time. As such, we give you these sets of rare
medicinal herbs that could only be found in the tundra of the Frost Fang Pack...â
âI know that your packs strength lies not only in fighting but in poison as well... as such I hope that
this gift will be to your liking.â
As Blake explained what his gifts were, Idris led the people to hand over the wooden boxes
containing the medicinal herbs.
On my side I looked at Blake and Allan to lead in accepting the gift, however, my brows twitched
when I saw that the moment Idris and Caleb met each other's eyes, the surroundings near them
became tense and cold!
