Chapter 164

Fated For Lycan's Luna

Chloe

"A mate? He had a wife.”

“Alpha Kain Kain had a wife!?” Surprised, I looked at Blake and asked.

As soon as he heard my words, Blake paused and a mysterious light shrouded his eyes as he replied,

"As far as I know, he had a wife... but strangely, no one in the inner circle knew about her.”

“I thought that once I join the inner ranks, I would have access to this matter, however, it seems like

the matter about Alpha Kain's companion is not a relevant matter, that is why no one was even

curious about it."

“I see...” I muttered, since even Blake who already managed to infiltrate Alpha Kain's deepest rank

did not know the details, I could only drop the matter.

While it was really advantageous for us to know who exactly our enemies were, it is normal that we

could not find everything about our enemies. If it was so easy to spy on everything they were, then

we might not be in this situation where we had to hide and cooperate in the dark to defeat them.

“Don’t worry about it that much, and let's just focus on improving our abilities...” Blake saw that I

lingered a little too deep in my thoughts.

He stretched out his hands and caressed the back of my head, a gesture quite simple yet it gave me

the comfort and security I needed.

"Yes... I need to get stronger.” I muttered, remembering the overwhelming pressure that Alpha Kain

gave to me during the banquet. I knew that taking him on and holding my ground against him will

not result in a favorable outcome.

“That is also why I would like to propose that we train...” Blake smiled, his hands brushing on top of

my forehead clearing my face that was blocked by my hair.

“But, you can't always come here and train me right?” My ears perked up the moment I realized that

I would train with Blake however, I held that thought for a moment as I realized one crucial thing.

"You still have to do your part as the acting leader of the Frost Fang Pack! How would you divide

your time in doing so? Besides, Alpha Kain is quite doubtful, what if he suddenly locked his

suspicion on you guys?” My mind immediately became worried as I realized the implication of these

actions.

“Don’t worry about it.” Blake let out a confident smile as he continued, “Initially, I thought to send

Teacher Astor here to help you, but I changed my mind when I saw your strength earlier.”

He continued to explain, “What you lack the most is experience fighting with Aurora whether you

are shifting or not. It does not seem like you did not realize this fact earlier... it is just that, you lack

someone stronger than anyone in your clan to be your training partner...”

“So I'm just shamelessly nominating myself...” The corner of Blake's lips raised in a charming smile. It

was so breathtaking that I felt like my chest paused and tightened for a moment before I realized

that I had to breathe.

“Besides, I already told this matter to the real Alpha Sabre, we have long prepared for situations

where we needed to switch places to carry out the plan... so the persona of the Frost Fang Pack on

Alpha Kain's side will not be affected.”

“What do you think?”

He looked at me as he leaned close. His warm breath tickled the surface of my cheeks as my heart

could not help but pound deeply.

“But...” I was still about to reject it, however, Aurora's voice came once more and said,

“Chloe... Let us train with him...” She said, “What he said is true about the two of us... We've missed

so many years to train together... and even the last five years weren't enough for us to even

contend with the current strength of Blake nor Alpha Kain.”

“I think we needed this to increase our chances of success...” Aurora continued, “And to also be

beside our mate for a little longer.”

Aurora's last words caused me to feel a wave of heat on my face as her tone suddenly carried a hint

of teasing. However, Blake and Aurora indeed make sense.

For others, they started to train to fight with their respective wolves the moment they experienced

their first shifts. But my case is different because I was only able to shift to the wolf form five years

ago.

While Aurora's power made my battle prowess grow, added to the fact that I have been trained by

Teacher Astor in the Silver pack, it was only enough for me to take my pack to the wilderness and

cause some trouble with Alpha Kain's men.

It was clearly far from enough to become a strong contender to defeat Alpha Kain!

The happenings from the banquet proved that our strength would not be enough... we need to

grow more.

Letting out a heavy sigh, I looked at Blake with determination and said, “Alright... I'll train with you,

Blake.”

Hearing my answer, Blake's eyes shone in brightness as a wide relieved smile appeared on his face,

"Alright! That's more like it.”

My breathing paused for a moment as I saw his handsome expression that was extremely pleased.

For a moment I felt like we were back on the old times where we were still at the first stages of our

relationship.

I may not know if our decision to be together will work this time around, but all I could say is that I

am fully convinced that we need each other so that we can overcome the problems we had at hand.

I let out a smile and stretched out my hands in the air, repositioning myself from sitting too long in

the meadows, “So when shall we start?”
