Chapter 172

Fated For Lycan's Luna

Chloe

As soon as I said these words, the air around the area became intense. Caleb looked at Blake

provokingly as he moved his arms and legs getting ready for the spar.

On the other hand, Blake remained calm as he slowly stepped in the middle of the crowd.

With the two getting ready the onlookers backed up to give the two some space. The hot blazing

sun continued to emit its heat seemingly scorching the dust around as the earthy smell of the

sparring area reached my nose.

However, there seemed to be a cold wave of air being emitted by the two who were standing

against each other. The pack members did not say a word and only watched with their eyes looking

like they wanted Caleb to teach Blake a lesson.

While annoyed that this was the attitude of my pack, I know that they really needed to see the

extent of Blake's power. In this world, it is still easier for one to show respect and regard when you

are exceptionally stronger than the rest. As such, 1 did not intend to stop them in the first place.

I only pray that the outcome of the spar will be deemed beneficial for the pack and the cooperation.

No matter who the winner is, the most important thing would be breaking the hostile wall between

the Red Moon and the Frost Fang Pack.

"Since you are the one who proposed the challenge, I'll let you make the first move.” Blake stood in

the middle, with his entire body relaxed. His words carried a hint of dare as he looked at Caleb's tiny

expressions.

“If you insist!” Caleb no longer said anything and started to gather his aura.

Gasps were heard around as everyone saw that Caleb instantly disappeared before their eyes. “Go

get him, Caleb!” Amazed by the speed their beta has exhibited, my pack members started to

become riled up.

However, Blake remained unmoving, with a slight curve on the corner of his lips. His gaze did not

even look in any direction but ahead when he raised his arms protectively and made swiping

motions with ease.

As he did it, a shadow flashed against its direction and was immediately forced to retreat.

The sound of the ground being crushed as Caleb tried to stop the momentum of his body made the

entire arena become silent. At that moment, it was clear to everyone that Caleb was instantly

defeated on the first exchange.

Fortunately, Blake seemed to have thought the same as I am, he wanted to use this chance to

somehow try to lessen the hostility between the two packs. As such, he made the choice to not

defeat Caleb instantly as it will only incur more resentment from the entire pack.

Giving Caleb a chance is also a way to spare the dignity of the pack and not be humiliated. While

Caleb is indeed strong, Blake is someone who had already been leading the pack for years. He was

raised to become the leader, and his innate prowess and control of his power definitely made him

more stronger than Caleb.

"We're just starting!” Caleb said as his eyes flashed in determination.

“Go on, we must make this sparring fruitful for the both of us.” Blake changed his stance to indicate

that he will also start to attack.

“Raaaaah!” Caleb gathered his power once more, this time, the power in his hands and feet were

double the force he displayed before. His moves were also ferocious and merciless as the first wave

of attack.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The violent exchange between the two caused the entire surroundings to be covered in dust,

causing the onlookers to have difficulty seeing what was happening.

"What's happening now?” They muttered, trying to figure out who is getting more ahead of the

other.

In my position, I can see the situation more clearly. Caleb continued to release a barrage of vicious

attacks while Blake tried to defend efficiently.

Blake's movements were efficient, it was like no movements were wasted whenever he commands

his body. It was a stark difference from when I remembered him to be.

Back in the Silver Pack, he was like a sharp longsword able to kill everyone around it

indiscriminately. The lethal choices in his movements were all meant for him to end the enemies life

in the most cruel and fearsome way.

But this moment, his movements were still ever so deadly, however, there was a hint of calculation

and wisdom in his every move. It was like his way of fighting refused to waste a single amount of

energy and he was meant for long battles.

Precise, deadly and well calculated, it was the fighting style most suitable for assassins!

Moreover, he doesn't seem to be at a disadvantage against someone with powerful attacks like

Caleb. It was like, this way of fighting was designed to deal with a target that is significantly stronger

in power than you.

Could it be that this was what Blake thought himself when he collaborated with the Frost Fang pack

for preparing against Alpha Kain?

On the other hand, Caleb's fighting was like a gigantic hammer, mighty enough to smash things

into smithereens. Caleb has every right to have the title of the Red Moon Pack's strongest Beta

because of this.

Unlike Allan and the others, his way of fighting is already strong even without poison at hand.

Partnered with his speed, his abilities proved to be more advantageous in a battle of sheer strength

because the rest of the pack were more used to using poison in fighting rather than techniques.

Boom boom boom!

The more the two exchanged blows with each other, I noticed that the crowd became even more

silent. Their provocative eyes started to emit a light of seriousness and focus

Their eyes never left the two people fighting in the middle. It was as if, by watching the fight,

everyone was in the middle of realizing something.

Their focused eyes eventually flashed a hint of determination. The light in their eyes was now full of

burning desire to get stronger, most importantly, the hint of hostility was no longer there.

Instead, their eyes looked at Caleb and Blake with respect.

Seeing this, a relieved smile flashed on my lips, but my heart skipped a beat when I met Blake's

knowing eyes as if he was also trying to convey something.

Before I could figure out what he meant by it, another wave of gasps filled the area.

Bang!

In the end, Caleb's body violently collapsed on the ground as he looked at Blake unwillingly. He

clutched his lower abdomen as he tried to stand up as fast as he could. But when he looked down,

he saw that his position was already outside the boundary line of the sparring arena, denoting that

he had lost the fight.

I quickly stood up, not wanting the fight to become extended and gravely hurt anyone. With a calm

face I announced, “Caleb went out of bounds, the winner of this sparring match is Alpha Sabre!”

“You two did very well!”
