Chapter 174
Fated For Lycan's Luna
Chloe
"Is everyone ready??â Sensing several presence from a direction I faced my pack members and
called their attention.
âTonight will be the first step of our revenge! I know all of us have been waiting for this time and
you all did your best in training and cooperation...â Seeing the silent yet intense faces of my pack
members, I looked at them and reminded,
"We came prepared, however, we came with a mission. No matter what, we have to prioritize doing
our goal and not jeopardize or expose our pack and our allies. We still have a long way to go in
exacting our revenge.â
"Yes, Alpha..." The pack members looked back and uttered in a low voice. I saw in their eyes the
extreme desire to fight and bathe in blood; however, my reminder seemed to bring them back to
reality and control themselves.
Our goal for today is to destroy an enemy camp and pose them as a traitor. But in doing so, we will
not kill in the slightest, we instead would carry out the prologue of a grand act that we all agreed to
do.
To make the Red Moon Pack the enemy and to establish the Frost Fang Packâs standing with the
Blood Hound Pack.
With that, we settled down in our position and lied in the shadows waiting for our turn to move.
The night is silent and the moon hides behind the thick clouds. It was a dark night, with the skies
refusing to give its light to the black canvas.
It was as if they refused to see the bloodshed that was about to happen.
Even so, Blake and I, along with the packs we represent, needed these things to be done.
The wind stopped blowing harshly, as if time stopped them from proceeding any further making the
entire surroundings become eerily silent.
Only our faint breathing could be heard as we all looked in a certain direction and watched
everything that happened.
Soon the skies ahead grew a faint orange light, smoke arose in the air as the scent of blood and fire
started to reach our noses.
This was also seen by Vanessa and the rest, however, I raised my hand signaling them to wait as this
was not yet the right time.
Our role is simple, we are reinforcements posing as the ally of the Dark Wood pack, solidifying the
evidence of âallegianceâ we have with them.
As rehearsed, we will also act out an intense battle against the Frost Fang Pack and the witnesses
they took in tow to fully convince Alpha Kain that our pack is starting to target him and there were
already traitors amongst his trusted ally packs.
But in that process we will also establish the fact that Frost Fang Pack is definitely not among them.
To make it more realistic, Blake and I have already arranged who will âdieâ in this battle. The reason
why we pushed for cross training was also because of this.
Led by Calleb and Allan, our pack has sent people to learn and pose as the Frost Fang Pack and
would be the ones to âdieâ in battle. But in reality once they âdieâ they will go back to our pack until
our act is finished.
In order for this to be properly carried out, we need Blake's prompt before we could enter the scene
and act out our role.
Minutes passed by and the roars of battle became louder and louder. The fire had already grown up
in the sky as the scent of blood thickened, along with the horrifying screams of the people from a
distance.
"Wait a little bit more...â Seeing my pack excited, I held out my hand and signaled them to get
ready.
âChloe... it's your turn now!â Finally, Blake sent a mind link asking us to go in and start the play.
âLet's go!â I said as we all wore our capes and masks before heading straight in the direction of the
lit up skies.
The wind that welcomed us carried a suffocating smell of fire and heat. When we entered the
battlefield, almost all of the Dark Wood Pack was already wiped out, the remaining ones were just
the innocents, the women and some warriors who chose to protect them with all their might.
"How dare you!â I shouted, pointing my finger toward Blake as Alpha Sabre and the elders from the
Blood Hound Pack.
âRed Moon Pack! Surrender now, our Alpha Kain may even forgive you if you hear our advice!â One
of the elders looked at us excitedly and confidently shouted.
âOver our dead bodies!â I shouted as I signaled my pack to engage in the fight.
âRaaaaaa!!!â The warriors behind me charged with all their might, each finding their opponents as
we had initially planned.
Now the only thing that wasn't on the plan were the elders with us.
As such, I made a last minute decision to have Vanessa and I face them in case they joined the fight.
On Blake's side however, he had already made a precaution as well.
âDear elders, I'll give to you my strongest aides for protection, please stay here until we are done
dealing with the Red Moon Pack!â Blake said as he put Caleb and Idris as their guards.
"Deal with them quickly so that we can finally report this to Alpha Kain!â The elders looked at our
ferocious attacks and decided not to directly face us, much to our relief.
âIn that case, everyone, let's stick to our roles until the end!â Seeing that the most favorable scenario
has been given to us, I sent a mindlink to everyone.
Pretending to have an intense fight now is no longer that awkward, with the practice we did for the
last few weeks. We are already at a level where we could exchange blows heavily.
"Ah! Why are they so strong?! The Great Elder said that the remnants of the Red Moon Pack are the
timid ones! Why is the Frost Fang pack having a hard time dealing with them?!â The Elders uttered
in annoyance, but seeing how our fights become more violent, they still chose to hide behind Idris
and Caleb while running their mouths.
âGood... this is the right time..." Seeing that the elders already lost patients, it's time for me to make
my last move!
Breaking away from Alpha Sabreâs hands, I used my aura and jumped high in the skies.
Everyone's eyes were on me as I threw something on the fire which emitted an astringent smell that
made people dizzy.
âNot good! The Red Moon Pack threw poison in the flames! Now the poison is already spreading in
the air!â A member of the Frost Moon Pack shouted.
"What-" Before the elders could say something, many of the Frost Fang Pack warriors puked blood
and collapsed on the ground, âdying on the spotâ.
The face of the Elders became pale as they covered their nose and held their breaths.
âAlpha Sabreâ lowered his sword and instructed, âEveryone retreat! Protect the elders! I'll stay behind
and stall them!"
When Blake announced this, the Elders did not even wait for their escort's Idris and Caleb, they ran
away first!
