Chapter 192

Fated For Lycan's Luna

Blake

As soon as I uttered those words, Chloe's body froze momentarily in surprise. The next moment she

gave a light hearted chuckle and sunk into my embrace.

Her response was fully welcomed by every bit of my being. Like we are each other's fountain of life,

we stayed like that for a little while.

I looked down and took a good look at my mate's face once more. Caressing the side of her face,

my heart felt the piercing pain of seeing how exhausted she was as she pushed herself in

deciphering the poison.

“I heard from your student and Arthur that you have not gone out since taking the poison from my

sickbed? Why do you torture your body this much?” I uttered in helpless pain.

But when I was expecting for her to give me a rather serious explanation, I was blown away when I

saw my mate pout adorably as she replied back, “What goes the same to you, aint it?"

My heart felt like it was going to drop. For I am not prepared to be attacked in such a way. Her eyes

looked at me as she continued to sulk while I looked away, like I was back in my youthful days

encountering my first romance.

“Then we were both wrong...” In the end, I surrendered in a sigh and we laughed our own mistakes

out.

It's been years since we two had laughed together like this. While I know that this meeting won't be

long, 1 still could not help but long for the day that we could finally face our future and our pain

with smiles on our faces.

"What do you plan to do now? Going back to the territory may still be dangerous for you..." After a

while Chloe asked.

“I'll be joining the attack team in a while. But I came here to check on you before I go. Don't

pressure yourself... Everyone knows that this is such a hard task... especially the people in your

pack... they know what that poison did to you and the Blood Moon Pack...” I uttered.

“All the more that I have to give my all now, Blake...” The light in Chloe's eyes glimmered in

unwavering and fierce determination, her hands were clenched in a fist as I knew that she was

reliving the pain of losing her father to the very same poison she was dealing with now.

The next moment, her entire body shuddered and her eyes reddened, while her voice cracked as she

uttered,

“Blake... Did you know... That I came to a point when I cursed my young ignorant self?”

“If 1 had not made that poison just to make my father impressed, would Uncle Gauss use that to kill

him?”

“Would I have those countless nights and hours trying to save my father from the sting of my own

ignorant hands?”

"Would I beat myself up every night trying to find a way to defeat this poison by my hands and end

it once and for all?"

"Sometimes, I asked the Moon Goddess... why did she allow me to do such a thing in my childhood

days... Now that foolish thing I did haunted me for the rest of my life.”

As I saw my mate, the other half of my soul breakdown in her suffering, I opened my mouth to say

something to comfort her. But in the end, I could not find the words that could take away the pain

she was feeling at the moment.

How I wish I could take those emotions oppressing her day and night. How I wish that I could easily

heal the scars left behind in the depths of her heart in just a single swipe.

All I could do was to cover her trembling body in my arms and sooth her back as I continued to let

her cry in pain while I closed my eyes and stayed with her.

After a while, there was silence, and her slow steady breathing could be heard in the room. It may

probably be due to physical and emotional exhaustion, but it seemed like her outburst had led her

to a deep sleep. I mind linked Arthur to inform him, as I carried Chloe's sleeping figure to her

sleeping quarters.

In the hallway I saw Esha making her way to Chloe's laboratory.

She stood in shock when she saw me carrying her teacher in such a way. But it may be because of

my mask showing not a single clue of my affections that she covered her mouth and nodded that

she understood.

Without a word, being afraid that Chloe would wake up after not sleeping for a few days straight,

she gestured for me to follow her to Chloe's quarters.

We walked silently, avoiding the crowd that could disturb Chloe's sleep. Esha heaved a sigh of relief

only when we successfully tucked her Teacher to her bed and had a good rest.

“A-alpha Sabre... Thank you for bringing Teacher all the way here... It's thanks to you that I could

finally be relieved to see her resting.” Esha said gratefully when we left the room.

“No big deal. As the Alpha of your pack and the partner I rely on with this alliance. If she collapses,

then our movement will collapse as well...” I answered.

"Just stay here and check her from time to time... If she asks for me, tell her that I have already

joined the other team as we have discussed midway." I left her these words as I headed out.

“Thank you, Alpha Sabre!” Esha said once more as she bade me goodbye.

As for me, I headed straight to the barracks and looked for Idris and Caleb who were leading the

attack troops.

When I arrived in the area, the two were already rallying the rest of the alliance members to give a

briefer for their next attack

"Greetings, Alpha Sabre!” When the two noticed my presence, they were surprised but still led

everyone to acknowledge me.

"Good work everyone!” I said as I headed in their midst and straightforwardly announced my reason

for going there. “Today, I'll be joining your team in attacking the target you have for today!”
