Painting Rainbows
Soul Writer: Words From Within
Red
For the times I felt so loved
When my cheeks would become tinted
Because I was ever so happy
Orange
For the times we lay on the grass
Admiring the sunset
The one that's never as beautiful as you
Yellow
For the sunflowers
The bright ones you always surprised me with
Now withered
Forming a part of my box of memories
So I never forget how wonderfulyou are
Green
For the luscious trees we were surrounded by
As we went for walks through the woods
To escape everything and embrace nature
Blue
For the sky above our heads
Which we would stare into longingly during the day
Wishing we were floating atop the clouds
Indigo
For the dark skies
During the night time
When we wished we were as far as the stars
Violet
For the color of our love
As we became intertwined
Each perfect for the other
Where there once was dark skies
With heavy clouds and pouring rain
You painted a rainbow for me
In this dull and monotonous world
Making everything oh so perfect
With all these vibrant colors from your paint brush
