I don't deserve a happy life

Author's POV:

Abhi woke up early in the morning and slid all the curtains to one side letting sunrays peek inside the room. Adjusting to light that hitting directly into his eyes he turned his head and saw Sitaara. There she was sleeping like a baby as sunrays falling on her skin making her face glow. He smiled at her. He went closer and saw tear stains on her cheeks.

"When did she cry? She was all good last night" he thought furrowing his eyebrows. He saw her frowning as sunrays were disturbing her beauty sleep. She pulled up the duvet to her head to avoid sunrays.

"Bava(bil) she won't wake up easily. If you let her sleep she won't hesitate to sleep even all the day. Just pull the blankets off her, slid the curtains to let rays fall on her and empty the mug full of water on her face" he remembered Vedanth's words when they met accidentally yesterday at the restaurant when he went to have lunch with clients. He grinned mischievously and pulled blanket off her.

"Ved anna I swear am gonna kill you. For fucking sake give my duvet back" she screamed burying her face in pillow. Abhi chuckled and threw mug full of water on her back which was placed on night stand. She opened her eyes furiously and saw Abhi smirking.

"Abhimanyu" she screamed getting down from bed. He ran to other side as she raged to him. She started chasing him while he was running around the room.

"I woke you up as you asked me, Taara. Now stop chasing me" he yelled laughing.

"I asked you to wake me up not to drench me in water" she yelled smacking his back with pillow. He laughed throatily at her angry face. She looked at him with a smile.

"What?" he asked composing himself.

"You should laugh often. You look very cute like a kid while laughing" she said. His smile fade away immediately pulling out his poker face.

"Actually your brother gave this idea of waking you up and I guess it worked perfectly" he said ignoring her earlier comment.

"One day, am gonna kill Ved anna for sure" she gritted her teeth, fisting her fingers.

"How do you know it was Ved who told me? I didn't mention his name" he said wriggling his eyebrows.

"He is jealous of my sleeping capability. He is always stands in front row to annoy me and he is the one who used to wake me up daily at home. Like this, it is his way of waking me up. I thought he would change after the marraige and stick himself to bed with my sil in his arms but no! his day won't start without annoying me" she blabbered picking up pillows from floor.

"Your brothers likes you very much than other siblings of yours right?" he asked. She smiled with tears.

"Yes! They love me very much. Usually if Siru akka or Adhi akka or Akki does something annoying, my brothers enjoy seeing them get punished whereas in case of me their protective mode turns on. Though sometimes Ved anna try to put up my annoying stunts infront of my family, later he would cover it up saving me again. I miss them already" she said sitting on bed holding their cousins pictures in her hand caressing it. He smiled.

"Take your shower and get ready. I'll go for my jog" he said. She nodded and stood up.

"Get ready for punishment for following Ved anna's advice" she said smirking. He ignored her royally and left for jogging. Sitaara showered and dressed herself into cream sleeveless kurta paired with palazzo pants. She braided her hair and appiled vermillion in her partition. Checking herself in mirror for one last time she went down the stairs

She directly walked to kitchen and greeted he mils.

"Are boys in gym room including Abhimanyu?" she asked hiding her mischevious plans.

"Yes...!! I just don't understand who they want to impress so much that they won't skip their exercise even for a single day" said Anjali shaking her head in annoyance. Sitaara giggled.

"I'll serve them their water melon juice today" she said pouring their juice in glass and she made a special one for Abhi. Smiling to herself she placed the glasses in the platter and walked to gym room.

"Good morning boys" she chirped with a smile. Naman greeted her back with a smile while Dhruv flirted with her to piss off Abhi.

''Your greeting with sweet voice and your beautiful smile already made my day beautiful just like you look, Vadhina(sil)" said Dhruv. Sitaara giggled at his open flirting and she knew he didn't mean it in other way. Naman chuckled at Dhruv.

"Stop flirting with my wife, Dhruv" said Abhi wrapping his arm around her waist. Sitaara moved out of his hold smiling awkwardly. Dhruv just smirked.

"Here are your water melon juice" she said showing the platter.

"I can even drink poison if you serve me, my dear beautiful vadhina(sil)" said Dhruv taking the drink.

''Just serve him one, Taara" muttered Abhi with a scowl on his face. She giggled.

"That was worst pick up line and also very common line, Dhruv" said Naman.

"Seeing such a beautiful woman in the morning made me loss of words and had to pick up that line" said Dhruv. Sitaara burst out laughing.

"When Disha complained about your flirting ways, I didn't believe her but now I can say you are litreally into it, Dhruv. BTW, don't try them on me am already taken and I know much more cheesy and flirty lines as am very much used to them" she said smiling remembering Viraj and his flirty lines.

"That must be really heartbreaking to many guys knowing that you are taken. I hope doctors in hospitals don't have a difficulty in handling many heartbroken patients" said Dhruv. Naman and Sitaara broke in laughter again.

"Oh my god your laughing sound seems like a mus-"

"Save it for next time, Dhruv" said Sitaara giggling cutting off him.

Abhi smacked his head from behind and took juice from Sitaara. She grinned looking at Abhi who started drinking water melon juice. Once the juice passed down his throat he froze and his face turned red. She added chilli powder in it as a prank.

"Yay!! You have got your punishment. Don't ever wake me up like that" she shouted jumping and laughing not realising the Abhi's condition.

Abhi started coughing vigourously and his eyes, ears and face turned red. Naman and Dhruv were shocked to see his state. Sitaara ran to kitchen crying realising the blunder she did and pulled out sugar and honey containers and water bottle from refridgerator and ran back to gym room wiping her tears. Seeing her crying all the elders, Aarya and Disha followed her together.

Sitaara ran to Abhi and put some sugar in his mouth chanting 'sorry' again and again crying. Everyone panicked seeing Abhi in such a state. Sakshi cried seeing Abhi's red face.

"How did this happen?" asked Sakshi crying. Sitaara came forward crying.

"I did it, athamma(mil). I did it as a prank but I didn't expect it to turn out like this" said Sitaara crying like a baby looking at Abhi who opened his mouth for Aarya to spoon feed honey to him. She moved to Abhi and cried holding his hands.

"Am sorry Mani. Am extremely sorry for it. I didn't mean to hurt you. You can punish me as you like, I won't say a word and receive it. I won't do such things again" she sobbed looking at floor. He smiled with tears due to chilli affect. He gently pulled her in his embrace making her stiffen.

"It's okay. Am not angry at you at all. Please stop crying and I guess I deserve this small punishment for questioning a woman character the other day'' he whispered in her ears. She shivered as his hot breathe fell on her ears. She slowly untangled herself from him and he too let her go.

" You look so cute and beautiful even while crying, Vadhina(sil)" flirted Dhruv to reduce the tension in air. Everyone chuckled at his comment except Sitaara.

"Come on bitch!! Get chill. We don't mind it at all, do we?" asked Aarya looking at everyone. They all sang 'no' together like a school kids making Situ smile a little.

"Infact we all saw my son's million dollar smile after years and a reaction from him other than that poker face which am bored to death. We require fun like this some times" said Aman to put Situ at ease.

"And Aarya never call my daughter in law with names though it was friendly. She is you sister in law now, if you disrespect her its like disrespecting your brother too" said Sakshi.

"She is my best friend and we use it on each other very often. You just can't expect me to change all of a sudden" whined Aarya hugging Situ and kissed her cheek.

"Eww.. Anna you have not only got male competition but also female compeition. Look at Aarya akka she just kissed your wife. That's... That's gross" said Dhruv making facing. Everyone chuckled.

"That wasn't gross, Dhruv. It's common between best friends alright?" said Aarya rolling her eyes.

"It was gross, Aarya. I hope you bring a son in law home instead of daughter in law for you" said Naman chuckling.

"YOU. ARE. GONE." shouted Aarya running behind him. Everyone moved out laughing leaving Abhi and Situ alone. She looked at him with tears.

"Not again. I am not a man who speaks much, please don't me make you give a speech to console you" he said. She chuckled.

"Am sorry" She whispered looking at her feet. He came to her and lifted her chin and wiped her tears.

"Don't be sorry, Sweetheart. Though am an arrogant, I don't hesitate to admit my mistake and receive punishment and I'll take it as a punishment for that incident happened on engagement day" he said caressing her cheek with his thumb. She stepped back nodding her head.

"I never expected this reaction from you and your family, especially from athamma(MIL). I thought she would smack my face as she was crying like there is no tomorrow" said Sitaara.

"Well, consider yourself as lucky. If it was some other person in your place she would get angry for sure but she likes you alot and she is not an evil mil they show in daily soaps instead she would join you in such pranks" said Abhi moving out of the room.

"She reminds me of Vindhya aunty alot. Even she used to join me to pull out prank on Raj" she thought smiling and followed Abhi to their room. She saw him nowhere and assumed that he is already in bathroom to take shower. She walked to closet and was shocked to see many business suits, casuals and also his watches, Shoes, goggles and other men stuff.

"Not bad he has a best collection of every brand just like me" she mumbled and selected a a royal blue suit for him with perfect cufflinks and placed them on a bed with a note and went downstairs.

Abhi came out of the washroom ruffling his wet hair and saw his stuff on bed. A smile crept on lips. He walked to it and saw a note.

"I've never seen in you in any suit other than black so, please wear it. I hope you look handsome atleast in clothes selected by me unlike to your ugly looks

- BEAUTIFUL SHINING STAR, SITAARA DEV SHETTY"

He chuckled at her own praising about her beauty. Suddenly he remembered her calling him handsome when he laugh. He walked to the mirror and smiled.

"You really look handsome smiling, Abhi" he thought.

"But do you deserve happiness afterall what happened in your past" his brain mocked.

"I don't deserve happiness, I don't deserve a happy life after killing them" he whispered.

"I don't deserve smiling! I don't deserve a happy life! I don't deserve anyone. Everyone will leave me because I am an idiot. Everyone will go away from me. Even Sitaara will leave me one day. Even my family leave me one day like they left me. Just look back into your life you will realise what an asshole you are who don't deserve happiness" he thought and threw a vase on mirror.

"YOU SHOULDN'T SMILE. YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE A HAPPY LIFE. YOU ARE A MURDERER. YOU KILLED THREE PEOPLE" He screamed at top of his lungs destroying things around him. Within 5 minutes whole room turned messy. He fell on his knees palming his face, taking harsh breaths. His body was shivering and his vision blurred, all he could see is blood everywhere. His faces turned red like someone choking his neck and he was unable to breathe. Crawling on floor he reached his phone and ringed to Rishi. Rishi lifted the call immediately as he was about to call Abhi to discuss about business.

"Ri.ri.shi I can't l..iv.e. Bl..o.od-"

"Abhi what happened? Are you alright? Where is Sitaara?" shouted Rishi through phone panicking.

"I killed them..right? I don't deserve happiness.. isn't it?" said Abhi crying. Rishi hung the call understanding Abhi's situation and started to Chowdary mansion.

Abhi crawled to washroom with difficulty and stood under shower crying. After he composed himself, he got out of the shower and got ready for office. He was about to open the door, it bursted open revealing panting Rishi who was sweating buckets. He walked inside closing the door and looked around the room.

"Are you fine? You didn't harm yourself right?" asked Rishi checking him from head to toe. He held Abhi's wrist and checked him. He unbutton his shirt and checked on his chest if he harmed anywhere. Once he saw Abhi alright looking at him with poker face, Rishi hugged him tightly, Abhi too reciprocated immediately. Rishi's hold around Abhi was very tight expressing that he is afraid of loosing him.

"We are with you, Abhi. I, Anish and Anika are with you. You just can't leave us like Sam did. We can't afford to loose our another best friend. Stop hurting yourself, Abhi. Even we've been through same thing but didn't we stand strong? Just move on, you've got a wife now. An understanding wife whom you can trust without any insecurities. Just stop thinking about past again and again" Rishi pulled back and said.

"Am afraid. You know about me and my life since am born. Am afraid to get attached to people. Everyone will leave at some point" he said emotionlessly and his eyes are absolutely blank.

"No one will leave you. If that was true we would've left you long back when you didn't trust me, Anish and Anika. Your family would've left you when you were accused with something you didn't do" said Rishi. Abhi just stared into space with blank face. Rishi sighed.

"You did this all. Didn't you?" asked Rishi looking at the messy room. Abhi nodded meekly.

"I'll order maids to clear this. Come let's go and have breakfast" said Abhi buttoning his shirt and coat. Rishi nodded and they both walked down together. Abhi ordered maids to clear the room before Sitaara arrive there.

"WOW!! Aunty you made ladoo?" asked Rishi taking one from the bowl. Sakshi smiled nodding her head.

"Why did you run to Abhi anna's room like that?" asked Naman as Rishi sat beside him for breakfast.

"I felt to" said Rishi shrugging his shoulders. Everyone gave him a look to which he smiled sheepishly.

"You know, all you friends are really weird and so secretive like we don't know anything about you guys" said Dhur rolling his eyes.

"Hey! Rishi bava(bil) when did you come?" asked Situ coming out of the kitchen with bowl in her hands.

"10 minutes ago. I guess you were busy in kitchen" said Rishi smiling. She nodded.

"Is Adhi akka and Vanya are at my mansion or did she come back to yours?" asked Situ serving breakfast.

"They are still at your mansion" said Rishi.

"Idiots!! They all kicked me out and celebrating together. Yesterday I heard them shouting like lunatics in call, am sure they all were playing something. I doubted it long back when Ved anna didn't call me to irritate, he must be enjoying with other cousins of mine. Riddhanth and Vikranth must be enjoying video games like kids as if it's their last day on earth because am not behind them asking to study and Akki must be busy using all my stuff. They all must be going on night rides together eating street food. Sid anna must've loaded refridgerator with my chocolates" she was blabbering loudly serving them. Everyone were looking at her smiling amusingly. When she reached Abhi but she didn't serve him. She placed the bowl on table and rested her palms on her hips.

"Serve yourself, its all because you married me" she said accusingly poking her finger in his chest as he turned to her when she didn't serve him. Everyone chuckled silently looking at Sitaara.

"Wait!! Today they didn't call me in the morning that means...that means-"

"They all went to ram ki bandi for break fast" Rishi completed her sentence. She gritted her teeth and took her seat serving Abhi and herself. She started telling how often they they used to hangout and how they used to prank on people.

Ram ki bandi is one of the best dosa(south Indian food) center in Hyderabad and very famous. Many people visit there early in the morning.

"Are you sure your friend isn't mad?" whispered Abhi to Aarya. She giggled shaking her head in no.

"She is like only anna, chirpy, talkative and always shoo away others sadness. You know something, she never try to show her sadness, she never hold grudges against people, she gets angry very rarely, she is so caring. She is so kind that she never express her harshness towards people who are her enemies but when she gets angry her words might even kill the other persons words. In short people are lucky to have her in their life" said Aarya smiling and looked at Sitaara who was glaring at them.

"You! You both! Listen to me when am sharing my happy moments. I hate when people don't pay attention to me" she said glaring at Abhi and Aarya. They both smiled faintly.

"She is sometimes bossy too like Monica in friends" mumbled Aarya Abhi chuckled silently. They all completed their breakfast. Abhi came to her and put his coat in her hand looking at her intently. She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. He turned and she understood what he meant. She made him wear his coat avoiding everyone's stares at both of them. He turned back to her.

"So do I look handsome in clothes which not only you selected but also helped by you in wearing them?" he asked smirking. She eyed him from head to toe.

She clicked her tongue in disapproval and looked at him smirking.

"No!! so ugly-"

"We are not talking about you but me" he said cutting off her.

"That's why I used word 'ugly' " she said and smirked. Rishi chuckled at her counter attack.

"Savage'' muttered Dhruv chuckling.

"Isn't that means your choices in clothes are worst... hmm?" he asked raising his eyebrow.

''No the person who wore clothes chose by me is worst'' she said and sighed sadly patting his cheeks. ''Don't worry I'll make you handsome soon''. He rolled his eyes.

"Wear saree and be ready by 5'O clock" he said. She gave him a confused look.

"For your eye check up. One of my friend is best Opthalmologist in our city, I guarantee he will provide you best treatment" he said. She glared at him. He smirked at her and kissed her forehead.

"5'O clock don't forget. We've gotta go somewhere, wear simple saree" he said and walked out with Rishi.

Seems like he is truly sorry for the thing happened on engagement day.

Everyone sided Sitaara even after she hurted Abhi although it wasn't intentional! Kind people, aren't they?

Rishi was panicked! True friend! Ran to Abhi like a lunatic from his place to Abhi's.
