Chapter 163 Drink! Drink! Drink!

Lu Yifeng trusted his wife but he didn’t trust the men around her. He was able to notice the way Ren Shiyuan looked at Xia Meilin which got him worried.

He was in his study, examining the twenty-page contact that he made and was signed by the man he wanted to work with. His work is finally over and he can finally focus on his family, they’ll be able to move to Sicily soon.

A knock was heard and Xia Meilin entered his study. She walked towards him while holding a glass of warm milk for him.

"Don’t stay up so late tonight, okay?" She placed it on his desk.

He took a glance at the glass of warm milk and sighed. "I’m not a kid. I prefer coffee."

She crossed her arms and huffed. "Coffee, coffee, coffee. Too much caffeine is not good for the body. If you drink one right now, you won’t be able to sleep for a couple of hours."

Since Lu Yifeng didn’t want to argue with his wife, he said: "Okay, I understand. I won’t stay late, I’ll go to bed by eleven."

"Good." She let out a soft yawn. "Ah, I’m going to go ahead now. Be sure to go to bed at that time, okay?"

"Don’t worry, I will. You should go get some rest now."

"I will." She went to him and placed a soft kiss on his forehead before she walked out of the room and went to bed.

There were a couple of people in the bar and loud energetic music was playing.

Nian Jiezhen and Ren Shiyuan were sitting together on the side with a couple of beers on the table. A couple of cans were already empty.

"I’ve always loved him, you know." Nian Jiezhen said after she took one long gulp on the can of beer she was holding.

Ren Shiyuan chuckled a bit. "I know... I have always loved her too..." He took a sip on the glass of juice he has.

Nian Jiezhen furrowed her brows. She was already drunk and her actions were getting bolder because of it. "Are you a lesbian?"

Ren Shiyuan blinked a few times when he heard her question. He laughed lightly at this. "I’m straight."

"Na-uh. I’m pretty sure I heard you said that you love ’her’. Is that girl Xia Meilin?" She inched her face close to him. The scent of beer was strong and Ren Shiyuan can smell it from her warm breath.

"Yes, it’s her. That’s why I’m straight."

Ren Shiyuan said calmly as he stared back at her.

"No waaaay! That’s wrong! If you like a girl then you’re called a lesbian, you’re not straight, Xiao Xi!" She let out a long sigh. "Boohoo for us. I love Lu Yifeng and you love Xia Meilin but they’re both married with each other so we have to back off."

When he heard what she said, an idea suddenly popped up in his mind. Nian Jiezhen loves Lu Yifeng, right? Then he can use her to seduce him. "So what if they’re married? They’ll surely separate one day."

"Are you blind? Can’t you see how they looked at each other? They’re deeply in love with each other, why would they separate?" She opened another can of beer. "I know how much pain you are in right now. Xia Meilin loves someone else and she’s straight, she will never love you back. As for me, brother Yifeng is my cousin, first cousin! I am not allowed to be with him!"

Nian Jiezhen took his glass of juice away and gave him the can of beer she opened. "We’re in the same boat, let’s drink our pain away."

Ren Shiyuan let out a long sigh as he accepted the can of beer that she offered. He stared at it for a while as if he was contemplating whether to drink it or not. Even if his schedule was free the following day, if he got drunk then who will drop them to their places?

Ren Shiyuan took his phone and messaged his manager to pick him up from the bar they were in within half an hour.

Nian Jiezhen noticed that Ren Shiyuan wasn’t drinking the beer and he was busy texting on his phone. Him ignoring her made her pout. She grabbed his phone and kept it in her pocket. "Drink! Drink! Drink!"

Nian Jiezhen was totally drunk, her face was flushed and she was not her usual calm self. Ren Shiyuan was hesitant but because of Nian Jiezhen’s persistence, he ended up drinking the alcoholic drink.

Nian Jiezhen stared at him as he continued gulping the whole beer in one go.

What caught her attention was the liquid that dripped down from the side of his lips. It traveled down to his jaw then to his neck.

She licked her lips as she continued staring at the beautiful woman’s fair skin. She locked her eyes on his soft looking lips. Just by looking at it made her wonder how soft it was.
