Chapter 201 I never liked that woman

While Lu Yifeng was drying his wife’s hair with a blow dryer, Xia Meilin was looking at what was happening in social media.

Just like what she expected, confusion started spreading to everyone because of the words she said in the airport. Some still insist that Lu Yifeng was a criminal that needs to be put to jail while the others wanted to wait and see what will unfold before them.

She took a selfie while Lu Yifeng was brushing her hair, half of her face was seen while Lu Yifeng had a serious look on his face while he was carefully brushing his wife’s hair.

After taking the photo, she posted it on her Weibo with a heart and kiss emoji as a caption.

Even if she rarely uses her Weibo and post something, every time she posts, it would at once reach so many likes and comments from her fans.

Although Xia Meilin wasn’t interested in reading the comments in her post that’s why after that, she placed her phone aside.

She went on the bed and sighed in content, she can finally rest after a long day.

Lu Yifeng was about to get one of his files from his desk but he was stopped when Xia Meilin said, "You’re not allowed to work when I’m here. Come and cuddle with me, darling."

A soft chuckle was heard from Lu Yifeng as he turned and saw his wife waiting for him on the bed.

The moment Lu Yifeng lied down beside her, she wrapped her arms around his waist and snuggled close to him like a kitten.

"Good night." She said softly before she went to sleep.

The next day, Xia Meilin and Lu Yifeng went to their own works.

The shooting started in a hospital room before they transferred to a beautiful villa that they rented. There were only a few scenes for Xia Meilin. Her role in the music video was Xiong Fan’s lover who died because of some sickness a few years ago.

Although her character was just minor, Xia Meilin’s acting skills brought life to it that it made the staffs around admire her more.

All her scenes were about Xiong Fan remembering her character. There were scenes where she was standing beside the balcony, playing the piano and a few scenes together with Xiong Fan in the garden.

Xia Meilin’s last scene was about watching Xiong Fan leave with his new lover with a gentle smile on her face. When Xiong Fan turned to take one last look on the tomb, his eyes went wide when he noticed something.

Xia Meilin mouthed the words ’Thank you’ before a few petals were blown towards her.

The director snapped back to reality after the scene and shouted, "Cut!"

Shu Yang walked towards her and handed her bottled water. "Good work, Meimei."

Xia Meilin smiled, "Thank you."

"Why don’t you try being an actress instead?" Xiong Fan said as he approached them.

"It’s tiring and besides, how many times do I have to tell you that I’m a mother, I want to focus on my family."

"Right, right." He chuckled softly. "How are things going with your husband?"

"He’s fine." Xia Meilin smiled, "Something like that won’t affect him after all, I got his back."

"Things are getting heated up between you and Kang Lin, I wonder how this would turn out." Yu An, Xiong Fan’s female lead in the music video, who happens to be a famous actress, approached them. "I never liked that woman."

"The feeling is mutual, Ms. Yu."

Just then, everyone became distracted when a tall figure entered the room. Lu Yifeng was in his navy blue suit and as usual, he looked dashing.

This was the first time that the staffs in the room saw him in person. They couldn’t help but admire him since he looked more handsome in person. Because of his grandeur, no one dared to approach him.

His eyes scanned the room before it fell on Xiong Fan who was standing close to Xia Meilin.

Xia Meilin couldn’t help but smile when she saw him. She turned to Xiong Fan and Yu An. "Well, since my scenes are done, I’m going to take my leave first."

After bidding goodbye to them, Xia Meilin went to her husband and cling on his arm.

Lu Yifeng bowed his head as he captured her lips. Xia Meilin was surprised by his sudden move that her face instantly turned red.

"There’s a newly opened restaurant nearby, do you want to have dinner there?" Lu Yifeng asked as he placed his hand on her waist before he led her out of the place.

The room was quiet, it was not just Xia Meilin who was surprised, the whole staff in the room was the same.

Although it was just one of Lu Yifeng’s way of claiming his woman in front of others. Mess with her and they will have to face his wrath.

Xiong Fan sighed, "I feel like he was trying to warn me with the way he looked at me earlier."

Yu An patted his back, "Let’s just get our work done. I want to go home early as well."
