Chapter 259 - Ill tell you where it is.
The Devil's Sleeping Beauty
"Howâs school so far?" Xia Meilin asked while watching her daughter, Lu Weichun devour the cookies she baked earlier. She was sitting on a stool and was resting her elbow on the table, her chin placed on her palm.
After gulping the food she was chewing, Lu Weichun replied, "Itâs good. Our Midterm exam is coming up." At the thought of the upcoming exam, her face became gloomy. "The current topic for Math is hard...
Iâm going to fail."
"Donât say that, you think positive, Xiao Chun." Her mother said, trying to cheer her up.
Lu Weichun heaved out a heavy sigh, "Iâm positive Iâm going to fail."
Xia Meilin: "..."
"Thatâs not true. You can still ask for help from meimei." Someone suddenly said.
The mother and daughter turned their heads just to see Lu Mello leaning against the doorpost with his arms crossed.
"Gege!"
"Xiao Gua!"
The two women brimmed in gladness when they saw him there.
Lu Mello straightened his back and walked towards them, "Iâm back." He kissed his mother on her cheek before he went to his sisterâs side and messed her hair.
"Hey!" Lu Weichun pouted and huffed. "You always do this whenever we meet, I donât like it at all!" She exclaimed as she fixed her hair.
He laughed and ruffled her hair again just to annoy her more.
"GEGE!" She groaned out of frustration.
"You look better this way~" He teased. "By the way, where is Xiao Xing?"
"She went to her room to drop their things." Xia Meilin replied, smiling as she watched her two children. She truly missed seeing them like this.
"Congratulations on getting pregnant again, mom." Lu Mello said with a grin.
She chuckled, "Thank you, sweetie. By the way, how are things between you and your boyfriend?"
Lu Weichunâs hand that was holding a piece of cookie stopped in midair upon hearing her motherâs words. In an instant, her face became sour. "What boyfriend? I donât remember having. Boyfriend."
Her mother was obviously surprised, on the other hand, Lu Mello who already knew what happened smirked inwardly. He placed an arm around his sisterâs shoulder, "I have a new car, itâs a black Bugatti, want to try it out with me tonight?" He may look like he was changing the topic but it was actually offering that suggestion to congratulate his sister on being single again.
Lu Weichunâs eyes sparkled in delight, "Sure! Can I drive it?"
"No, you donât have a driving license yet." When he saw her pout, he chuckled and continued, "But I will give you the honor of sitting at the shotgun seat."
"Can I come too?" Lu Xingyan, who entered the room, asked with a small smile on her lips.
"Of course, you can. Itâll be a siblingâs night out." He replied with a wide grin.
"Now, now, be sure to ride safely, okay? Donât go above the speed limit and donât forget to put on your seatbelts."
As their worrywart mother reminded them of these, her three children only gave each other a knowing, mischievous glances.
Not long, Lu Yifeng arrived and when evening came, the family was able to have their dinner together. It was such a warm sight to see them that way. They may not be always together but the bond they have with each other was something no one could break. They were the perfect, loving family one could ever wish for.
After dinner, the children left their parents just so they could try out the new car.
"Ah, they grow up so fast, donât they?" Xia Meilin said, taking a seat on the sofa. "I wish that they can always be such cheerful kids."
Lu Yifeng sat beside her and gently placed his hand on top of her baby bump, "And here I thought I can finally have you for myself. We produced another runt." And now, he would have to share her attention with their next child.
She rolled her eyes, "We have all the time we need, weâre not in a hurry." She rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes with a satisfied smile on her lips. She was also loving the gentle and warm stroke he was giving her tummy.
"To you, Meilin, what matters most?" This time, he moved his hand just so he could hold her hand and give it a light squeeze.
"I would normally say you but right now we have our family so..." She paused and turned her head to look at him with a loving smile plastered on her lips, "This family matters the most for me."
Just then, she felt a sudden drop in the roomâs temperature. Instead of being delighted by her answer, Lu Yifeng furrowed his brows together, obviously was disappointed by her answer. "I am hurt with the âI would normally say you BUTâ part."
Xia Meilin raised a brow and even crossed her arms this time, "Guess what, Mr. Lu? Iâm not even concerned if youâre hurt right now. Youâre the one donating s.p.e.r.m so you canât go complaining now. Also, Iâm the one who carried the kids so my words are always going to be absolute in this house!"
"..." Ah... He should have been careful with his words. How could he forget how moody his wife gets when she was pregnant?
"Yes, yes, you are absolute in this house. in this family." Lu Yifeng said, consoling and submitting to his wife. He even added, "Your words are the rules here."
...
Meanwhile, somewhere on the highway, sa black Bugatti was parking on the side with a police car parking at the back of it.
It so happened that Lu Mello and his sisters were caught speeding so now, a policeman was talking to them.
"Where do you live?" The policeman asked the youngsters.
Before Lu Mello could even say something, Lu Weichun answered, "With our parents."
The policeman raised a brow, turning his gaze to her. "And where do your parents live?"
"With us." This time, it was Lu Xingyan who answered him.
Policeman: "And where do you all live?"
Lu Weichun: "Together."
The policeman was trying his best to keep his patience while Lu Mello was trying his best not to laugh.
"Where is your house?" The police changed the question instead.
Lu Xingyan: "Next to our neighborâs house."
Police: "Where is your neighborâs house?"
This time Lu Mello decided to play along with his younger twin sisters, "Iâll tell you where it is."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
The policeman inwardly sighed in relief. He looked at Lu Mello and said, "Tell me."
Just like his sisters, he answered the policeman with a serious look on his face, "Next to our house."
