Chapter 1276

“But,” Snow wanted to protest, but before she could do so, Vincent interrupted her, “No but’s! I’ll give you two choices. You can either follow Leon to Sky County, or you can stay in Springfield City and marry the man I arranged you with!” he scoffed.

He knew that Snow got her heart broken a few years ago and thus did not dare to interfere in her love life ever since, but now, seeing that Snow was getting older, he could not wait any longer.

Recently, he introduced a few handsome and outstanding men to Snow, but not only did Snow reject them all, but she also did not even seem willing to settle down with anyone of them!

Vincent was beginning to get frustrated by this, but when he found out about Leon’s plans, an idea popped into his head. He would ask Leon to bring her along with him to Sky County, on the one hand, to help Snow move on, and on the other hand hoping she would find someone she liked in Sky County, which certainly harnessed far more bachelors than Springfield City did.

“I-” Snow understood her father’s concerns, and just as she was about to say something, Leon piped up, Mister Poole, the truth is, I’m heading to Sky County for work, and there’s no telling when I’d be back! If Snow isn’t willing to go, we shouldn’t force her.”

He was not going on a trip, and it was annoying enough to let Ruth and Cynthia tag along–he did not want to have to deal with Snow’s temper during his travels!

“Um,” Vincent balked as he realized that Leon did not seem willing to let Snow come along.

“Why not? If you don’t want me to go, it’ll only make me want to go even more!” Snow scoffed as she shot Leon a murderous glare.

Leon gaped at this. “Snow, I thought you didn’t want to come. I was trying to help you, for God’s sake!”

“You know full well whether you’re trying to help me, or whether you just don’t want me around!” Snow snapped.

“That’s not what I meant at all. I’ve always treated you as a sister, so how could I not want you around?” Leon laughed sheepishly. He could not help feeling a little guilty as he said this.

However, one thing was true; he treated Snow as his sister ever since she blocked off that fatal attack for him. besides, he was an orphan since birth, and Snow was the closest person he had to family–he respected her not only as a friend but as a sister as well.

“Alright, that’s settled then!” Vincent was delighted by this and immediately agreed, as though he was worried Leon and Snow would change their minds.

“Alright, alright, we’ll all go together,” Leon sighed and had no choice but to relent.

“You ungrateful twat! You should be happy that the Four Beauties are coming with you to Sky County!”

Ruth made a face at him, a hint of triumph in her tone.

Leon rolled his eyes, but before he could even respond, Vincent tugged his elbow and pulled him aside.
