Chapter 1316
The Ex-Husband's Revenge
âI think thatâs cloudyâclear, not creamâclear.â
A few other more seasoned rock gamblers scanned the rock intently.
The staff just started cutting into it, so the inside of the rock was not completely exposed. Since cloudy-
clears and creamâclears were rather similar, no one could tell which one it was. However, they could tell that there was a lack of transparency, so there was a high chance that it was a piece of cloudyâ
clear jadeite.
Under the watchful eyes of every customer, the staff continued to cut into the rock.
âItâs a piece of cloudyâclear jadeite!â
The crowd stirred.
Apart from a few of the more experienced customers, even others could tell that it was a cloudyâclear jadeite, not a creamâclear. Though the two were similar in their names, the cloudyâclear was classified as high- quality jadeite, while the creamâclear was considered topâquality jadeite.
âItâs just a piece of cloudyâclear!â
âWhat a shame!â
The smile on Andyâs face froze.
Like flowerâgreens, cloudyâclear jadeites were considered highâquality jadeite and the jadeite discovered in the third rock was of even smoother texture compared to the first rock. More importantly, cloudyâclear jadeites were more suitable for statues and it would be perfect to make it into a statue for Patrickâs birthday.
Andy soon recovered from the disappointment and beamed again.
However, before he had the time to celebrate, what happened next shook him.
The staff continued to polish the rock but did not find any more jadeite inside.
There was only a small piece of cloudyâclear jadeite on the surface and the rock was mostly composed of sand.
âHow could this be?â Andy was utterly stunned.
He wanted to carve the cloudy â clear jadeite into a statue, only to realize that there was only a palmâ
sized jadeite left after all the cutting and polishing. It was barely enough for bracelets and a few smaller accessories, but could not possibly be enough for a statue.
âWhat a shame!â
âHere I thought that he might be experienced in this. Iâve overestimated him!â
âYeah! Looks like he just got lucky for his first rock.â
The others sighed and shook their heads.
Among the three rocks Andy selected, only one of them ended up containing highâquality jadeite, which meant that Andy was lucky.
âDamn it!â Feeling humiliated, Andy blushed.
The higher one climbed, the harder the fall.
He was so confident in his ability when he was complimented by others and he even allowed himself to think that he would find topâquality jadeite, only to be proven wrong by reality.
