Chapter 1416

“Damn it!” Damian’s expression darkened.

He was frustrated with Leon’s arrogance and thought that it was foolish of Leon to provoke Eugene.

However, Leon was Iris’s boyfriend and saved his life before, so there was no way that Damian would stand idly by while Eugene attacked Leon.

He charged toward Eugene and the two were instantly absorbed in battle.

“Damian, just remember that you asked for this! I might not be able to beat you in the past, but you’ve just recovered. Do you think that you have what it takes to defeat me?!” Eugene sneered and started attacking Damian’s lower body.

“Why you! How despicable!” Damian paled.

He was on the same power level as Eugene in the Peak Overlord State. However, since he suffered from paralysis, he was not able to train in the past few months. On top of that, he just started to recover and was still struggling with the mobility of his legs, so he was incapable of wielding the full extent of his power.

Eugene saw right through his weakness and started aiming his attack at Damian’s leg. Before long, Damian was losing.

“Leon, I’ll stall him! Take Penny, Iris, and the others and run!” Damian urged.

He knew that he could not defeat Eugene in his current state and could only try to buy Leon the time to escape because he knew that Leon would not get a chance to survive once Eugene defeated him.

“Run? Why should I run? I said that Nigel will break his arm, or I break his legs! I intend to keep my word!”

Leon said with determination.

“Y–You’re so stubborn!”

Both Damian and Penny were frustrated.

Penny, who assumed that Leon was in the Semi–Overlord State from the way he injured Nigel earlier, knew that Leon was far from being capable of defeating someone in the Peak Overlord State.

With Eugene there to support Nigel, having Nigel break his arm or breaking Nigel’s legs would be impossible and she could not understand what gave Leon the confidence.

“Leon, Ruth, and I didn’t get hurt. Why don’t we just let it go?” Cynthia said hesitantly.

She resented Nigel for trying to defile her and she was too proud to let him go without more severe punishment, but since Nigel was the eldest son of the Scammells‘ second bloodline and Iris’s relative by blood, Leon might make the Scammells his enemies if he insisted on seeking revenge for her.

Cynthia did not want to put Leon and Iris in a difficult position for her sake.

“There’s no way I’m letting this go! I’m going to make this right for you and Ruth!” Leon said sternly, before taking out a Dragon Pill and taking it without hesitation.

The Dragon Pills were extremely valuable and limited; on top of that, he would fall into a recovery phase that last for two days. Hence, he would not take the pill without consideration.

Cynthia was the second most important person to him after Iris and he would not allow anyone to hurt Cynthia. It did not matter how precious the Dragon Pills were or how bad the side effects would be;

Leon was determined to make whoever hurt her pay for what they did.
