âIâve already promised Leon. How could I go back on my word?! Iâm the head of the Shears. If I go back on my words, Iâd be a laughing stock!â Elder Shear had a serious and adamant look on his face.
He loved his granddaughter. He would have never disappointed her if this was anything else, but it invo lved his familyâs reputation. He could not joke around with that.
âButâ¦â Cynthia still wanted to say something, but she was interrupted by Elder Shear.
âThere are no buts. If you want it, then pick one of them. If you donât, then Iâll just give both of them to Leon so we wonât have
to separate the twins,â Elder Shear said.
âOf course, I want one! Iâll just take one then. Itâs better than nothing!â Cynthia was forced to accept it, p icking the Red Star of the Sea and holding it dearly.
Not too long later, Leon arrived at the Shears household. A guard led him to the garden, and Leon met the group.
âElder Shear, itâs been a while,â Leon smiled and greeted Benedict.
âLeon, youâre here. Let me introduce you. This is my wife. Meanwhile, these two are my grandson, Har vey, and granddaughter, Cynthia,â Benedict had a friendly smile on his face as he made brief introductions.
âHello,â Leon politely greeted.
He was a bit surprised at how beautiful Cynthia was. It was the first time he saw anyone who could compete with Iris on that front!
âPlease, have a seat,â Phoebe said kindly. Harvey was very friendly as well.
Only Cynthia pouted as she looked at Leon unhappily. She secretly blamed Leon for stealing her Blue
Star of the Sea.
Leon rubbed his nose. He could feel that Cynthia was not that friendly to him, but he did not know why.
He did not take it to heart.
âLeon, Iâve completed what I promised you. Iâll give you this necklace. Are you happy with it?â elder Shear smiled and gave Leon the Blue Star of the Sea.
âElder Shear, thank you. This necklace is beautiful. Iâm very happy with it,â Leon had a happy look on hi s face as he looked at the necklace in his hand.
The necklace was far more beautiful than he thought. Both the color and the carvings were impeccable. There was not a single blemish to be seen.
It looked cool and noble. It suited Iris a lot. They were a perfect match!
âOf course! My grandfather spent a lot of effort to convince Master Summers to carve it. Youâre lucky!â Cynthia said with a scoff. Her tone was very sour.
Even though Leon did not know who Master Summers was, he could easily guess that Master Summers was an amazing smith. Otherwise, there was no way he could make such a perfect masterpiece.
âCynthia, donât be rude!â Benedict looked at his granddaughter unhappily.
Cynthia was not happy, but she did not dare to be stubborn with her grandfather.
âElder Shear, thank you for this. If you need my help with anything in the future, just let me know. Iâll do m âNo need to thank me, itâs nothing much.â
