“You? What a joke! Southern Boss, the Spears can hardly put up a fight against us Thompsons!” Arthur scoffed, not taking the Southern Boss’s threat seriously.

The Thompsons were the head of all families in the southern region, yet the Southern Boss arrogantly claimed that he would eliminate the Thompsons and Leon.

Arthur could not figure out what gave the Southern Boss the confidence to make such a threat.

Just then, the situation changed drastically when a voice echoed in the air, saying, “You are right, Elder Thompson! The Southern Boss and Spears alone might not be able to do much to the Thompsons, but that might not be the case if they join forces with us Hiltons!”

Followed by the voice was the appearance of Devon, Joel, and the other Hiltons from the outside, ambushing the Thompsons’ first bloodline from behind.

“Devon Hiltons?!” Arthur was shaken by the Hiltons’ sudden appearance.

Though he did not know that the Hiltons joined forces with the Southern Boss, he knew that the Hiltons were Leon’s enemies.

An ominous feeling overwhelmed him at their sudden appearance; on the other end, Angus, Leon, and the others were shocked as well.

Leon knew that both the Southern Boss and the Hiltons wanted him dead, but the Southern Boss was more like a mafia, while the Hiltons were a respected clan just like the Thompsons, so he did not expect them to find their way to an alliance.

Leon was caught off guard, but soon snapped out of it and gritted out darkly, “damn it! I should have thought of this!”

According to what Yuri found, Joel was present when Yunas rescued the “damsel in distress”.

Since there was no known connection between the Hiltons and Spears, Leon only brushed it off as a coincidence, to realize at this moment that Joel was likely involved in Yonas’s murder as well.

“You are not late at all! You came at just the right time!” The Southern Boss smiled.

To kill Leon, the Southern Boss came prepared.

Though he did not think that Arthur would come to Leon’s rescue, he informed Devon and sought his assistance to bring the Hiltons over as reinforcement the night before.

Reality proved that the Southern Boss was right.
