“Please don’t say that!” Hugo’s heart sank.

As the eldest son of the Morrisons and the brightest among the youngest generation in the western region, Hugo was perceptive and could tell that Leon was prepared to give on this partnership with the Morrisons when he offered to pay for the herbs.

This was hardly the result he hoped for.

“Mister Wolf, my grandpa, and the others are just blinded by greed. Please give me some time to talk to them. Don’t worry. I’ll convince him to agree to work together,” Hugo said sincerely.

“It’s fine. There’s no need to force it. Let this end here!” Leon shook his head.

“But,” Hugo tried to debate but was interrupted by Leon.

“That’s the end of the discussion! Mister Morrison, as I’ve mentioned before, we can still be friends even if we can’t do business with one another! As for the herbs you’ve found, you can contact me if you feel like selling them to Cynthion Group,” Leon said.

“Well.” Hugo fell into silence.

He knew that Leon came from the southern region because he was sincerely hoping for a business alliance with the Morrisons. However, the Morrisons were far too proud and asked for too much, which led to the deal being called off.

The Morrisons bullied Leon and Leon was not the one who refused to work with them.

At the moment, if Hugo wanted to salvage the deal, he needed to convince Caleb to accept the conditions and convince Leon to give them another chance.

If that could be achieved, perhaps there would still be a chance for this to succeed. If not, there would not be a point for him to convince Leon to change his mind.

“Alright! Mister Morrison, go home. I’ll take my leave now!”

Just then, Leon and Hugo arrived at the gate and Leon stopped to bid farewell to Hugo, preparing to drive away.

“Mister Wolf, this is your first time here in the western region. You don’t know your way around, so why don’t I send you to a hotel and help you settle down?”

Hugo snapped out of it and offered.

“It’s fine,” Leon was about to reject his offer when a melodious voice sounded behind them.

“Hugo, leave Mister Wolf under my care. I’ll send him to a hotel. You should head back inside to talk to Grandpa. Stop him from being blinded by all the things Uncle and Georgie said.” Renee approached with a smile.

She was there throughout the entire discussion between Leon and Caleb. Even she had to admit that Jayden and Georgie crossed the line for being so arrogant.

However, she was just a young woman who knew nothing much about Cynthion Group, so she was in no position to chime in. However, she could tell that Hugo wanted this deal to succeed and she had to support her brother.

Hence, she followed Hugo and Leon, hoping to see how she could help.

“Sure! Renee, I’ll leave Mister Wolf to you, then!” Hugo’s eyes lit up.

He realized that he needed Caleb to compromise if he wanted to salvage the business deal with Cynthion Group. Since Renee offered to get Leon to a hotel, Hugo could take this opportunity to convince Caleb to change his mind.

Before Leon had the chance to react, Hugo left him under Renee’s care and went back inside.
