“Cynthion Group is great? I haven’t even heard of it before! How great can it be?” Joshua scoffed in contempt.

He did not hear of Cynthion Group before, which meant that it was not owned by any major family.

Hence, he assumed that it was merely a small business and felt that both the company and its vice president were beneath him.

“If you haven’t heard of it, it only means that you lack knowledge! Cynthion Group is a unique pharmaceutical firm and the alchemical pills they make can boost martial artists’ strengths and help them with their training.” Renee snorted.

Hugh was the Morrisons’ guest and Hugo entrusted the mission of taking care of him to Renee, hoping that this could salvage the business deal between Cynthion Group and the Morrisons.

However, Joshua kept disrespecting Cynthion Group and Hugh. If Hugh took the insults personally, the Morrisons would only suffer losses in return.

With that thought in mind, she glared at Joshua.

“Here I thought it’s more than that. So it’s just a puny little pharmaceutical firm,” Joshua sneered in contempt.

He never saw the Energy Nurturing Pills and did not know what they could do. All he knew was that rare herbs could help with martial artists’ training. Since Cynthion Group was a pharmaceutical firm, he assumed it was similar to the Feaks who sold herbs to martial artists.

That did not seem like a big deal.

However, Ariella stepped on his foot under the table before he could continue. “Joshua, just stop!”

She glared at him and signaled him to quiet down.

She agreed with Joshua and felt that Cynthion Group was merely an ordinary pharmaceutical firm, so she did not think much of it. However, regardless of Hugh’s status, he was still Renee’s boyfriend.

Yet Joshua mocked him in front of Renee, which meant that he was indirectly mocking Renee as well.

Hence, Ariella swiftly stopped him from continuing to prevent him from upsetting Renee.

“Oh” He jolted and realization dawned on him.

Though he was the eldest son of the Hackets, Renee was the eldest daughter of the most powerful family in the Western region. She was far more powerful than he was and he could not afford to cross her.

If his words somehow upset her, he or his family might have to pay for it.

With that thought in mind, he swallowed his words and dared not to run his mouth.

“Hmph!” The dark expression on Renee’s face eased slightly once he quieted down.

Leon, on the other hand, matched Arthur and the Southern Boss in terms of strength and status.

Joshua was the son of a somewhat powerful family, which made him far from reaching Leon’s level.

Hence, Leon saw no point in arguing with him now that he quieted down.
