The Ex-Husband’s Revenge By Dragonsky Chapter 37
The Ex-Husband's Revenge
The Ex-Husbandâs Revenge By Dragonsky Chapter 37 âUnderstood!â
The security guards that were beaten by Leon brewed with anger earlier, and after knowing that Joseph was the one at fault, they immediately channeled all their anger on Joseph.
They all grabbed Joseph and Donald and dragged them forcibly like a dog being dragged to be euthanized!
Upon seeing that scene, Lilyâs emotions were all over the place and she had difficulty trying to calm herself down.
She never dreamed that Leon would be Irisâs savior, and she was even more surprised when Iris unhesitatingly fired a company executive like Joseph to give Leon justice!
If she knew that Leon had such capability and backing, she would have ignored her fear of Joseph and refrained from helping him frame Leon!
It was such a shame that she realized it a little too late!
âIâm sorry, Mister Wolf. Iâm sorry for not repaying your kindness even though you saved me⦠I now know that I was wrong, and I wish to sincerely apologize to youâ¦â
Lily felt so overcome with guilt and regret that she bowed deeply to Leon and apologized sincerely.
Leon snorted coldly and turned his head to ignore her.
Lily knew that her actions hurt Leon deeply, and she did not expect Leonâs immediate forgiveness. She then turned her head and bowed to Iris, saying, âIâm sorry, Miss Young. Iâll send my resignation letter to the human resources department and resign willinglyâ¦
There was nothing but bitterness on Lilyâs face. She did not feel the least bit happy even though Joseph, the man who acted inappropriately toward her, was fired.
Her ungratefulness in response to Leonâs help was extremely reprehensible. She lost her dignity completely and felt ashamed to face Leon.
Moreover, Leon was also Irisâs savior, and Lilyâs atrocious act would surely make it impossible for Iris to let her remain with the company!
âForget about it! I said that Iâd give you one last chance, so Iâll keep to my word! No mortal is without fault, and since you repented before it was too late, I will forgive you this once!â Iris said calmly and magnanimously.
Lilyâs behavior might have crossed the line, but she was a victim after all. Iris was willing to give Lily a chance to change for the better on account of how the latter came back on the right path in the end.
âDoes that meanâ¦youâre willing to let me stay? Is that⦠true?â
Lily was stunned and could not believe what happened.
âYes! I hope youâll take this incident as a warning not to do something like that again in the future!â Iris nodded.
âThank you, Miss Young, thank you⦠I promise Iâll take your advice to heart from now and Iâll do my best to live up to your expectationsâ¦â
Lily was so touched that tears of joy welled up in her eyes. She then bowed to Iris again and again as a sign of gratitude.
âAlright, you may go back to your desk!â Iris smile.
Lily hesitated for a moment, but she eventually gathered up her courage and walked up to Leon.
âMister Wolf, thank you for saving meâ¦â
Lilyâs face turned red and she bowed deeply to Leon. Then, she turned around and left in a hurry, as she no longer dared to face Leon anymore.
Soon, Leon, Iris, and Ariel were the only ones left in the office.
âIâm sorry that I blamed you for what happened earlier, Leon. I hope you donât take offenseâ¦â Ariel hesitated for a moment before gritting her teeth and apologizing to Leon.
âItâs fine. I understand,â Leon said with a smile.
âWell, look at what you did, Leon! You got rid of the top figure in the presidentâs department on your first day at work! I wonder what else is going to happen if youâre allowed to continue working in the company!â
Iris came over and shot Leon an angry look.
Leonâs heart was beating rapidly.
âJoseph might be capable to some extent, but his character is questionable and our company has no place for scumbags like him! That said, your approach is rather ill-suited, and the ruckus that you caused will almost certainly have some negative impact on the company! Iâll forgive you this once because it was unintentional, but let there not be a second time or I wonât forgive you so easily again!â
Iris raised her little fair-skinned fist at him and said angrily, but she only did so as a warning instead of being angry.
âDonât worry, Iâll listen to whatever you say as long as you donât get angry at me.
For Leon, seeing Iris not angry was more important than anything else!
