The Ex-Husband's Revenge
The Ex-Husbandâs Revenge By Dragonsky Chapter 50 âNo⦠Doctor Hoover, I can explain. The medicine that Iâve been selling to my patients is beneficial.
Theyâre not harmfulâ¦â Bowden panicked and tried to explain, but then again, none of his explanations held any water! After all, a person of high status like Leon would have no reason to make false accusations against someone insignificant like him.
âI donât want to hear any of it! Youâre fired, effective immediately! Get out, Bowden!â
Edward slapped the table angrily.
âNo⦠Doctor Hoover, please give me another chanceâ¦â Bowden wailed and begged as he crawled to Edwardâs feet.
âGet lost! Security, kick him out of the building, please!â
Edward kicked Bowden away. With a wave of his hand, the security guards grabbed Bowden fiercely and dragged him out!
âWonderful!â
âIndeed!â
âUnethical vermin like him deserve this! Itâs so satisfying to see his downfall!â
The other two patients in the ward clapped their hands.
and cheered.
âCould you please wait a moment, Mister Wolf? Iâll handle the patientâs discharge procedures right away.â Edward smiled respectfully and walked away with Leonâs bank card. As soon as the man was gone, Lily and Jared looked at each other before going up to Leon and kneeling with a thud.
âWhat are you two doing?â Leon was taken aback.
âMister Wolf, youâve helped us so much, and the two of us have nothing else to offer in return except for our worshipâ¦â
Lily and Jared kowtowed Leon together in a sincere expression of gratitude.
âYou and I are colleagues, Miss Cameron. I consider us friends too, and friends should always have each otherâs back. You donât need to go that farâ¦â
Leon rushed forward to help Lily and Jared up.
âYouâre a good person, young man! Kind-hearted people like you are a gem in todayâs society!â
The other two patients praised Leon lavishly.
âYouâre too kindâ¦â Leon smiled a little embarrassedly.
He knew that it was human nature to be kind, and he was nothing special since there were already plenty of kind- hearted people in the world.
âYoung man, I hope you donât mind if we ask you for a favor. Your medical skills are amazing, so we were wondering if youâd be alright with treating us?â
âYes. Weâll return your favor in kind. We can pay you for treating usâ¦â
The two patients pleaded expectantly.
âYou donât need to pay anything. I can help check your condition if you trust in my ability,â Leon said with a smile.
The two patients were overjoyed. âWith the kind of medical skills you possess, weâd trust you! Weâre more than happy to receive treatment from you!â
Leon then took their pulse one after another.
Their condition was much less severe than Serenaâs. One of them had a lung infection that caused chest tightness and shortness of breath, while the other had stomach issues and found it hard to eat.
Leon did some pressure point treatment for them, wrote up a prescription specific to their condition, and told them that their illness would soon be cured as long as they took the medicines according to his prescriptions.
âThank youâ¦â The two patients thanked him profusely and put the prescription away.
âIâll give your mother a prescription as well, Miss Cameron. Her body is still a little weak, but if you take my herbal prescription on time in the next few days, her recovery will be more stable and she will be back to the pink of health in no time!â Leon smiled, write down a prescription, and handed it to Lily and Jared.
The two siblings could not thank him enough.
Not long later, Edward helped them to ensure Serenaâs smooth discharge from the hospital. She, her children, and Leon all left the hospital together.
When they were outside, Lily stopped a taxi and then helped her mother into the car with the help of Jared.
Before they left, Lily insisted on inviting Leon to her house for dinner as a show of gratitude to him.
Leon, however, declined.
Lily factored in her motherâs discharge from the hospital and felt that it would be a little inconvenient for him to have dinner with them. In the end, she accepted his refusal and decided to invite him again another time.
