The Ex-Husband's Revenge
The Ex-Husbandâs Revenge By Dragonsky Chapter 57 âSir, I swear to you I now know that I was in the wrong⦠Iâm already begging you here. Please save my grandpa! I promise to bear any responsibility! I wonât blame you whether or not you can cure himâ¦â
Jenson gritted his teeth and knelt in front of Leon with a thud.
âWhat are you doing? Get upâ¦â
Leon was taken aback and quickly reached out to help Jenson up.
âNo. I wonât get up until you agree,â Jenson insisted.
âButâ¦â
Leon felt put in a tight spot. He wanted to say yes but he was not confident that he could be of any help.
He felt that it was difficult for him to refuse, as Jenson was being incredibly sincere and was one of the
rare people to show filial piety.
âOkay, okay. Iâll try my bestâ¦â Leon sighed and reluctantly agreed.
âThank you. Thank you so muchâ¦â Jenson got increasingly emotional and began thanking Leon several times before getting up.
Leon subsequently went back to the park with Jenson.
Bernardâs situation got worse by then. His face turned pale, his breathing became erratic and wheezier, and his consciousness was starting to fade. He was in imminent danger of dying from being out of bre ath.
Upon seeing that scene, Leon began his treatment right away and proceeded to perform the Six Points
of Fate sequence on several points of Bernardâs chest.
âThe young man came back! I wonder if he can cure the old man!â
âI think not. His prediction might have come true earlier, but we never know if it was by chance!â
âYeah! He said himself that he has only learned some medical skills, plus itâs alternative medicine and n ot modern medicine!â
âAn alternative medicine practitioner as young as him probably wonât have much to show in terms of m edical skills!â
âTrue! Traditional alternative medicine has long since disappeared from modern society, simply becaus e it isnât as effective as modern medicine. If Hilmar canât cure the old manâs disease, I simply canât see how heâs going to cure it!â
The onlookers each gave their opinion on the situation and a great majority did not see view Leonâs eff orts with much optimism.
After all, Bernardâs condition was so serious that his life hung by a breath! Unless Leon could resurrect the dead, it was simply unrealistic to hope for success!
Jenson was startled to hear everything. He initially had a bit of confidence in Leon, but everyoneâs com ments ate away at that confidence.
âThey all have a point, Jenson. This young manâs medical knowledge is severely lacking, and thereâs no He has always looked down on alternative medicine practitioners, and although Leonâs prediction came he still did not think that Leon would be able to cure the old man.
âShut up! You kept saying that my grandfather had this myocardial issue or something like that, but your treatment only made his condition worse! I believed your nonsense once. Do you think Iâll believe you a second time?â Jenson lashed out irately. He was aware th less confident in Hilmar!
âBut-â Hilmar was interrupted before he could say anything.
âEnough! Whether or not he can cure my grandfather, heâs more reliable than you at least!â Jenson snor coldly. His grandfatherâs worsening physical condition left him with no choice but to trust Leon.
Hilmar was speechless and could only shut his mouth resentfully.
